box app should open other apps in their own instance
It's very annoying when using box mobile (android) that when I want to send a file it opens the other apps inside the box instance and not in their own processes. For example a photo gets opened in f-stop which then shares to social media app but then all have to back out to get back to the box folder I started in and I can't keep any of those apps open where they were which in this case prevents adding a second photo to the same posts. I don't see this same trapped behavior in other apps.

When restoring a version, keep the original Modified Date
When restoring a version, keep the original Modified Date. Creating a new modified date implies that the file was modified when it was not. Versions should be restored to previous state.

Please enable autoplay for multiple files in a folder
You used to be able to enable autoplay for files in a box folder. Now, even if you click on "enable" for autoplay, it does not. Why????

Option to disable preview of PDFs on phone
When I open PDF on iPhone it displays correctly but box preview seems to be ignoring multiply/darken layers and just display them without this. This causes white boxes and images being cut one from another.

thank you for your feedback. This suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. After reviewing the shared folder and files we can confirm that preview works fine now.

return version to a date of all file in a folder, or all selected files.
Today is possible to do this only if I open each file and select version, with a lot of clicks1 vote -
Usability of action icon
I am using box with google chrome. I always use action icon, dots right side of each file, to download a file, but I cannot select download when browser for box is fitted to main display of laptop because actions are pop-up to upside of a display and cannot be seen every actions.
It is not happened if I see box with second display which is bigger than main one. It must be fixed.1 vote -
Priority of classification policies in combination with shield detection rules
Hi,
I can currently prioritize classification policies. Unfortunately, the classifications used in this way categorically overwrite those created with box shield's access policies.
For example: I have a classification only with shield access policies.. high confidential. This includes external collaboration restriction, download and print restriction.
It will be set manually on the desired folders. All files in this folder are now protected
Now i also have a classification with classification policies like credit card number or IBAN code. This should inform user automatically that there's a file with (maybe) protectable content.

Updtating task.is_completed when rejected
When a task is rejected, the task.iscompleted status doesn't get updated and remains "in progress". The taks.iscompleted stauts should get updated to "rejected" to differentiate from those tasks where there is effectively an assignment pending at least to complete the tasks.

My invisible menu bar "Box" item on Mac Big Sur
Best you change color of your menu bar item - on my Mac (Big Sur) the characters are white - and are invisible - maybe at least bluish or grayish? Ok?

Antidote made compatible with Box Notes
Hi !
As an active writer and participant for an association, it would be great if Box Notes could be made compatible with the app Antidote, which would allow users to proofread their texts on box directly without having to copy-paste their work on Word first. It would be a huge time saver, especially for those working on shared projects.

Correct the wording of 'Prior Versions'
Your Website states that:
The maximum number of prior file versions you can access corresponds to your Box account type:Personal Free - 1 Version
This simply isn't true, and I have argued this in a ticket and with a live agent, but the statement implies you can access a prior version of your file.
Definition of Prior is "earlier in time or order" so this makes your statement false as you cannot access anything but the CURRENT version in the Free version.
I would suggest the wording:

Infinite redirects in SSO-enabled mode when a user's password expires
In SSO enabled mode, you can sign in with a password. When a user's password expires, they are forced to change their password. If you try to sign in with SSO in this situation, you will be redirected indefinitely and you will not be able to sign in.
In this case, Box should redirect to the password change page after accepting the authentication.

cursor does not move to search box
Since your last update, when I click on the search box, my cursor does not move automatically to the box. I must place the cursor in the search box. I am using a Mac with the Chrome brower.

Show Metadata in Box Drive
Metadata is currently not visible in Box Drive. Is there a way to show/apply/change metadata without going to the web interface?
