be group foreign key "external_sync_identifier" as a unique constraint entry.
We are developing a tool to extract group data from IDM such as AD and Azure and project it to Box via API.
We want to use the group ID in IDM as a group foreign key in Box so that when the group name changes on the IDM side, we can track the group in Box that is associated with it.
For this purpose, we use the group attribute item "externalsyncidentifier".
However, since this item is not a unique constraint, there is always a risk of an error due to key duplication.
In order to use this item correctly as a foreign key, please make it a unique constraint. We are developing a tool to extract group data from IDM such as AD and Azure and project it to Box via API.

Setting to be notified when a specific file, folder, or note is modified.
We have a team that needs to be notified when a Note is modified. They are using comments to achieve this. It would be a great setting option to receive notifications on modifications to a specific file, folder or note.
Please let me know if there is a solution for this that I am not aware of.5 votes -
The notice for email when a folder is locked by LFO.
Folders may be locked in LFO.
The problem is recognized only when the user manipulates the folder or file.
If the problem is not detected as soon as it occurs, it will affect business operations.

Bookmark URL
It would be nice if “Bookmark” type files were compatible with Windows URL files. Indeed, I have Box Drive installed on my PC and I cannot open URL files from my PC because the extension is not compatible.
Sincerely,
Evann
Bonjour,
Il serait bien que les fichiers de type "Signet" soit compatible avec les fichers URL de windows. En effet, j'ai Box Drive installé sur mon PC et je ne peut ouvrir les fichiers URL depuis mon pc car l'extension n'est pas compatible.
Cordialement,
Ewann

Rows of logs of Sign show different level of file paths
Log of Sign Operations
The logs of Sign operations show either full paths or the lowest path only, for the same file.
If Box Sign were to export paths with the same level i.e. everything is in full paths, it'd be much easier to handle logs.
Evidence of their claim:

Nested notes list
Currently, the left-hand menu in Box Notes only displays a linear list of recent and historical notes.
Introducing a "Nested Notes List" feature would be particularly beneficial for project management. Projects often involve multiple layers of tasks, sub-tasks, and associated documentation. A nested list structure would streamline navigation and organization, enabling teams to locate specific information more efficiently.
If there are no plans to develop this feature, recommendations for third-party tools capable of providing this functionality would be appreciated.

Add ability to include a Name for external Box Sign recipients
Would like ability to add a name for external parties when adding recipients to a sign request.
Currently for external sign recipients, we can only include their e-mail address. As a result, the name of the signer is not included the signing log file. With only an email address it can be difficult to identify the person that actually signed.
Note: Understand that the adding the Name field to a sign request will populate it on the signing log but looking to input this at the send stage.

Revert to former UX for selecting files/folders (no more check boxes)
In order to select multiple files or folders in the Box Web App you now have to use the checkboxes which are only visible when you hover over the file/folder all the way to the right.
Previously, you could select multiple files and folders by clicking on the file or folder icon on the far left, and didn’t have to bother with checkboxes. The suggestion is to revert to the former UX for selecting files/folders

Configure ways to sign a document. Example: Disable typed signature
Give admins or senders ability to disable sender from typing signature
Amy Hudson - it is for a customer who is a CPA and he said that for what they do it can be an issue/requirement that for e signatures to be accepted it needs to be drawn not typed
Denise DeLisser - I also have a customer (Shriners). They require drawn signatures for some of their consent forms and would love if we could enforce/require a specific signature type.

Store Digital Agreements Securely and Compliantly with Electronic Vaulting
Store Digital Agreements Securely and Compliantly with Electronic Vaulting.
Following a digital e-signature, validate the signer (if necessary), and instantly deposit into an electronic vault (encrypted secure environment where signature is locked), giving a way to audit and manage the file and signature securely throughout its lifetime, preserving the e-original.

I would like to see a button implemented to go back to the original screen from the folder settings and collaborator screen.
When I go to the screen to check folder settings or collaborator in WebUI, there is no button to go back to the original screen
The folder settings screen can be returned to by pressing the cancel button or by using the browser functions, but the collaborator screen can only be returned to by using the browser functions.
I think this is a bad user experience because some users do not know how to go back to the previous screen.
It would be easier to understand if a back button is implemented, so please implement it!1 vote -
Box needs an ability to pause certain file uploads/transfers
When trying to upload files to meet a deadline, I sometimes have large working files using up all my transfer space. The ability to pause or stop certain files from uploading, prioritizing others would be extremely helpful. This would also be beneficial for metered connections while travelling. Thanks.

Need to be able to pick my own RBG colors
The color options are very limited. If I were to use this for my company's diagramming tool of choice, we would need to be able to load in our own color palette.

Upload docs to Canvas, automatic creation of repository folder.
It would be helpful to have the ability to upload documents to steps in a Canvas workflow. Once uploaded, there should be folder within my box instance where those files are stored.

Ability to specify wildcard folder in folder path for folder event trigger
Here's the scenario. Box folder partitioning is recommended for scalability when the number of items (files or folders) within a parent (root) folder will exceed 15000. The Salesforce default integration creates a folder for each account under a 'Accounts ' Parent folder and typically number of customers will exceed 15000 for large organizations. With the Box Partitioning flow (available in the Managed package for SF), folder partitions can be based on using starting letter of the account (e.g. partition folder will be named AFolder). OR customized to have folders based on Year/Month of creation e.g. PartitionYYYYMM under the Accounts root folder.
We would then use the Folder creation event for each account folder under the Partitioned folder to trigger various outcomes including creating a folder structure under the account folder and assigning classification and collaborations for sub-folders (requirement for business functions to have different permission levels based on RBAC).
Currently, when specifying a folder path (In what folder will this event occur?), it accepts an absolute path (e.g. All Files > Customer Content > Accounts) but with the partitioned model, it would require the path to be All Files > Customer Content > * > Accounts
So the suggestion is to allow a wildcard as above in the folder path

Reporting Tools for Box Relay and Box Canvas Via Console and API/SDK
It would be nice to have a report available in the admin section for Relay and Canvas, as well as access via REST API / SDK so we can generate our own reports.

Requests for additional features in Box Drive v2.33
We have consolidated our content in Box, and have reduced the amount of space in the user area of our PCs to the point where almost no space exists.
We also try to keep as little space on the desktop as possible, so the new features in Box Drive v2.33 are not required.■Additional features that were an issue
Saving unsynchronized files upon logout
When logging out, users will be able to save files that have not been uploaded to Box.■Functionality Improvement Requests
Therefore, we would like to see any of the following realized for the ability to save unsaved files to the desktop upon logout.
Proposal 1: Change the save location from the desktop to another location by changing the registry settings, etc.
Proposal 2: Change the registry settings so that it is possible to return to the previous specification where files are not saved.
Proposal 3: The default value of "Keep files that have not been uploaded to Box" can be unchecked by changing the registry settings, etc.【日本語】

Option to choose Can View or Can View and Download Outlook pop up
Currently there is no option edit shared link permissions (between Can View, or Can View and Download, or Can View Download and Edit). In order to do this, a user has to go to box and make those settings changes. It would be a better user experience to be able to make those changes in the Box for Office Outlook UI directly.
