We would like metadata to also be stored in the specified Zone.
In Box Zones settings, content can be stored in the specified zone, but metadata is always stored in the United States.

Support configuring a SAML Metadata URL instead of requiring static metadata uploads
Automatically retrieve and refresh metadata on a scheduled basis (at least every 24 hours)
Automatically trust both current and rollover signing certificates published in IdP metadata
Cache the last known valid metadata if the Metadata URL is temporarily unavailable
Provide administrator logging and notifications when metadata retrieval or processing failsBusiness Benefits:

Latest Mac app update on shared links : ROLLBACK please, we need to send quick share links and not add two more unnecessary clicks !
All in the title. We use it twenty times a day. Now facing 40 unnecessary clicks a day. Or at least keep it on a separate line.

Pause upload/download on Box Drive
PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE. I cannot describe how much this is important to me. I work on several projects that use many files simultaneously. Some of these files are large. Being unable to pause an upload/sync makes my workflow so incredibly slower.
Current life: I make some edit to a large file, my entire workflow is interrupted as said large file needs to be entirely uploaded before I can retrieve literally anything else from Box. This last part is not even Box's problem, but I have a pretty decent computer and slows down significantly during large uploads, which affects the rest of my work too. Even writing this request was a little slow.
Now, IMAGINE this wonderful little scenario: I click on the Box icon. I hit pause sync or whatever you may want to call it. I do whatever edit I want. Then, at the end of the workday, I hit resume sync.
Now IMAGINE this even better scenario for someone like me: oops, I forgot to hit the pause button before I started working. NO PROBLEM! I can pause/cancel this particular upload as it is happening.

"Show in Finder" Option for Box Drive
Hello Box Team,
I'd like to request a feature that would improve the desktop experience for Mac users of Box Drive.
Feature: A "Show in Finder" option, available via right-click (or a toolbar button) on any file or folder within the Box desktop app and web interface. Selecting it would open Finder with the corresponding local file pre-selected.
Why this would help: Many users work across both Box and local file management tools, particularly when handling multiple synced folders or nested project structures. Currently, there's no direct way to jump from a file in Box to its exact location on the Mac filesystem, so users have to search for it manually. Competing services like Dropbox and Google Drive already offer this functionality, and adding it to Box would bring the desktop experience up to par while saving users time.Platform: macOS (Box Drive desktop client)

Support more preview formats when it comes to professional photos
The list of new RAW photo formats supported by Box in preview hasn't been updated for a while.
In our case, we have a lot of assets in the .ARW and .CR3 formats which can't be previewed in Box and Box Hubs.
We recommend Box to work on supporting more photo and video formats, staying up to date with professional raw files.1 vote -
Add an Option to Hide Global IP Address in Box Sign Signature Logs
Currently, when using Box Sign to request a signature, the signature log that can be obtained after completion displays the global IP address of the requester.
In our company, the global IP address is treated as confidential information and is considered highly sensitive according to our internal policies. Therefore, having this information visible in the signature log, which can be accessed by the recipient, is a significant concern for us.
For privacy protection and compliance with company regulations, we strongly request the implementation of a feature that prevents the global IP address from being recorded or displayed in Box Sign signature logs.

User dropdown for Box Forms
In Box Forms it would be very convenient to have a User dropdown field.
Many of our workflows have a user fill out a form, which is then rendered into a document and sent for approval - and often, approvers are not static (e.g. their manager).
It would be very convenient if they could select another Box user with a similar experience to the collaboration dialog, or when you're adding to a Box Sign - a few characters from their name or email will show matching users. This field would then expose both the user's name and their email as variables in subsequent Relay steps.
It would be even better if the selectable users could be limited to a predefined list - especially if that list could contain an existing Box group. That way, when we update our managers group all the associated forms would automatically update.
Right now, our workaround is to add fields for both Approver Name and Approver Email, and have the user either type or select from a static dropdown, which means we have to update many forms when we have org changes - and it's on the end user to correctly match the email and name.

Chart view - add Dates to the "Field to Visualize" option
Currently the options for "Field to Visualize" only includes dropdown metadata fields. It would be great if I could also select Date fields, maybe with options to break down by year/quarter/month etc.

When viewing someone else's public link, add an option "add shortcut to my drive".
Google Drive has this feature. It could be further locked down with security settings if orgs want to disable this. Otherwise, I have other companies that use Box sharing public links with me, but I need to bookmark them in my web browser because I cant add a shortcut to them in Box.com. Google Drive allows you to add a shortcut to public documents. The other workaround is to download a local copy and upload to my Box but then I don't get updates.

Notification(s) for Box Notes
In the "Inbox" of Box Notes, any Note that gets updated by someone is conveniently displayed at the top. While this feature is helpful, it can also be bothersome because Notes that I no longer need to see keep appearing at the top of my screen every time someone opens them. Additionally, I’d like to be able to turn off unread notifications for Notes that aren’t relevant to me.
It would be helpful to have a setting that allows users to turn update/unread notifications ON or OFF for each Note individually.
Box Notesの「Inbox」で表示されるBox Notesは、誰かに更新されるたびに分かりやすく一番上に更新されたNoteが表示されます。この機能は便利ですが、もう見る必要がないNoteも誰かが開くたび、自分の画面のトップに表示され続けるため煩わしいです。また、未読通知も自分にとって必要ないものはOFFにしたいです。
ユーザー自身でNoteごとに更新通知/未読通知をON/OFFできる設定があると便利です。

There's now an extra click to highlight text in a Box note and it's a little annoying :)
If I want to add highlight to some text in a Box note, the interface changed recently so that I have to highlight the text, click the "A - Text and Highlight color" button, and swap from text color to highlight. It's a bit of a pain to do that extra click!

Move/Copy dialog search no longer shows parent folder path
In the Move/Copy dialog, search results no longer display the parent folder or path context for folders with identical names.
Previously, search results clearly showed both the folder name and its parent location. Now, only the folder name is shown, resulting in duplicate entries that are indistinguishable unless each one is opened.

Request to Enable Start Time Configuration for Shared Link Validity
I would like the ability to configure the start date and time for a shared link’s validity period.
For example, a shared link would become active and accessible 60 minutes after it is created.

Request to fix the markdown preview display when using Firefox
When you log into Box and use the preview feature to display markdown, the screen differs between Edge and Firefox.
When displaying bullet points, Firefox does not display correctly as shown in the attached image.
I think the reason is that Firefox's bullet is larger than other browsers (indent size is insufficient).

We would like to be able to check users’ departments from the UI:
Currently, you can view the usernames of users invited to a folder and the permissions granted to them within that folder.
However, there is no field in the account profile settings for entering a user’s department, so it cannot be easily checked.
While it is possible to work around this by adding the department to the username, this makes usernames longer and harder to read.
For example, I would like to be able to confirm a user’s department by displaying it in the same area as the permissions granted in the folder, or by showing the department when hovering the cursor over the username.--
