Make Box Shuttle available to Business Plan Co-admins
Please make Box Shuttle available to co-admins with Business plans. Currently it is only available to co-admins with Business Plus or higher. It is quite common for consultants to have the co-admin role rather than admin when working with clients.

Allow admins and folder owners to control visibility of the "Email All" button
We would like the ability to control the visibility of the "Email All" button at both the Enterprise level and the folder level.
Proposed behavior:
Enterprise admins can enable or disable the "Email All" button globally via the Admin Console.
At the folder level, co-owners and above (including owners) can toggle the visibility of the button for that specific folder.
Why this matters:In our organization, senior executives are often added as collaborators on folders. The "Email All" button makes it easy for any collaborator to send a message to all members of a folder — including those executives — which can lead to unnecessary or inappropriate communications reaching them.
By allowing this button to be hidden based on permission level or folder settings, admins and folder owners would have better control over internal communication flows and could prevent unwanted disruptions to executives.
We believe this would benefit organizations that need tighter governance over collaboration features. We would like the ability to control the visibility of the "Email All" button at both the Enterprise level and the folder level.

Add Date Field to Box Forms
We would like a date field type with a date picker added to box forms. We are currently using the "Number" field type for dates, but are getting formatting discrepancies. There are times we input information using a form that was from a different day so being able to select the correct day and controlling formatting is important. Thank you.

Open read-only in BoxDrive
Users with viewer privileges are not allowed to update files, but in the case of files that are updated simply by opening them, such as .xls files, an error will occur each time the file is opened in BoxDrive.
Is it possible to open files from BoxDrive in read-only mode?-in Japanese-
31 votesBox Drive doesn’t currently provide a built-in “read-only open” option. Instead, whether a file opens in read-only mode depends on the application (Excel, Word, etc.) and the operating system.
Here are a few possible workarounds:
- Download a local copy and open it outside of Box Drive.
- Use Box Preview in the web app, which always opens in read-only mode.
- Adjust application settings (e.g., in Excel you can configure certain files to always open as read-only).

Shield - Download and Navigate to a file directly from a Malicious Content Shield Alert
For the Malicious Content rule, it should be possible to download a malicious file directly from a Shield Alert for sandboxing without having to search for it.
Also, an admin who has Content Manager access should be able to click a button within the alert and navigate to the file in the Content Manager to manage it.

Feature Request to Hide/Show Default BoxNotes Sidebar
Content: When opening BoxNotes for the first time, the sidebar is displayed and open.
Users who are not familiar with Box operations do not know how to hide the sidebar, which narrows the screen and makes it difficult to grasp the overall structure of the note, reducing work efficiency.
We would like to request the implementation of a feature that allows the tenant side to set the default sidebar to show/hide.(日本語)
2 votes -
Box For Outlook - Auto-convert Plain Text emails to HTML
Since Box for Office can't support plain text emails, would it be possible to have a setting that allowed the add-in to auto-convert emails to HTML when using the add-in?

Remember Fields Size Preferences
Almost every document I create, I have to resize the signature box to the smallest height allowed and resize the date box and font size to much smaller. I would like a way to set user preferences for this issue.

Extending the expiration date of invitation emails
I work at a university and issue Box accounts to over 1500 new students every year.
New students have a very large number of procedures to complete upon enrollment, making it difficult for them to sign in to Box within two weeks of enrollment. As a result, many invitation emails expire.
The two-week deadline for invitation emails is too short and insufficient.
Please either set the default expiration date to around one month, or allow administrators to set the expiration date themselves.

app.box.com website prompting for access without enumerating the specific apps and services it wishes to access
Currently app.box.com prompts for access to...something, without expounding on what, precisely, it wants access to.
I cannot, via policy, give blind access to things without proper enumeration of what, specifically, will be accessed.
Please adjust this to list specifically what is being requested, if not in the popup itself then via an opt-in option on the site.

Moving / Copying data - give users the option to set default sort order
When moving or copying files in the web interface, the move to location is defaulting to strange behaviour which doesn't show recent folders ...
The move / copy to dialogue should show all the folders in the user's Box area so that they can select the correct folder for the destination for the moving / copying of files.

Provide a solution to existing users to migrate their data to Box as Box Shuttle is restricted to tenant level
We are seeking an effective solution for user data migration. At present, Box Shuttle operates at the tenant level with a current subscription limit of 10TB. However, from the end user's perspective, it would be advantageous to implement data caps at the individual account level. This adjustment would enable users to migrate their personal data from various storage sources directly to Box.

Make the "Mobile Web Access Control" setting in the management console applicable to the current domain (box.com) as well
As a result of Box consolidating its mobile sites from “a.box.com” and “m.box.com” into “box.com,” the “Mobile Web and Accessibility” settings in the Admin Console are not being applied to the current domain. Consequently, even if administrators enable these controls, they do not affect mobile access under box.com.
At our company, we use Intune policies to prevent Box files from being saved locally on corporate iPhones. Safari is not subject to Intune policies. Because the “Mobile Web Access Control” settings currently cannot enforce restrictions, users can access Box via Safari on corporate iPhones and save Box files locally, creating a risk of corporate information being taken off the device and potential data leakage. In addition, this breaks alignment with existing controls provided by Box—such as EMM management, Device Trust, and Conditional Access—impacting the overall consistency of Box’s security design.
We use Box as a secure, enterprise-grade storage solution. Inconsistencies in security settings affect Box’s trustworthiness within our organization, so we request a prompt remedy.【

Add Categories or Tags to Organize AI Agents in Box AI Studio
The ability to create AI agents in Box AI Studio is extremely useful. However, as the number of AI agents increases, it becomes increasingly difficult to find the right agent when using Box AI.
I would like to request a feature that allows users to better organize and find their AI agents. Possible solutions could be:
- Allowing users to assign categories to AI agents, which could also be arranged in a hierarchical structure
- Enabling the addition of multiple tags to each AI agent, along with the ability to filter or search by these tagsIn short, I hope you can provide an efficient way to categorize, tag, or otherwise manage AI agents, so that they can be easily found, especially as their number grows.

While in Outlook, the ability to drag & drop files directly into Box folders - not via the Box Web App, directly from Outlook
Insurance companies still heavily rely on working with emails. The current Box for Outlook integration is one way, ie. you can share documents out from Outlook.
Insurance companies require the ability to drag and drop files directly from Outlook into Box files without leveraging the Box Web App.1 vote -
Cannot select text in Box preview screen
When previewing a file, attempting to select text within the file results in a state where a yellow frame is being specified instead, making it impossible to select the text. I would like this to be fixed so that text selection is possible.

Allow folder recursion of checkbox unticking of "Only folder owners and co-owners can sent collabator invites"
The behavior when unsetting the "Only folder owners and co-owners can sent collabator invites" is unpredictale. When unticking the checkbox at a high folder level, it may or may not propagate to enclosed folders in the so-called waterfall method like folder permissions do. Some folders will reflect the checkbox being unticked, while others will not. The only way to be sure currently is to manually traverse each subfolder and untick as needed.

Support for Pasting Multiple Email Addresses in Box Hubs and Box AI Features
When selecting “Enable for selected users and groups,” I noticed that the text area for entering email addresses does not support pasting multiple email addresses at once. Currently, it requires entering each address individually, either by typing or pasting one by one, which is time-consuming when enabling the feature for multiple users.
Would it be possible to enhance this functionality to allow pasting multiple email addresses at once, similar to how collaborators can be invited to folders?

Quota Storage reporting
We have implemented Storage Quotas for our users and need a way to view if users are reaching their quotas. The only current way we have of doing this is doing a Users Details report and comparing the Storage Used and Storage Allocated fields. Have a dedicated Storage Quota report that shows percentage used and even projected dates for running out of space would be nice.
