Set admin thresholds for mass deletes or mass moves
We would like the ability for admins to set some limits on mass deletes or moves, possibly 2 levels, one that needs a two stage confirmation by the user when it is between X and Y and then sends an alert to the admins informing them of the action.
Then a second limit between Y and Z that informs the user that admin needs to approve and sends an approval request to the admins.
The alerts was something Dropbox did, but the approvals adds a new dimension to improve our ability to avoid unnecessary recovery.

Box AI for Hubs - Address # of files in Hub
The Hub functionality works regardless of the number of files available to be viewed from the link(s) listed on the hub page. However, Box AI for Hubs has a restriction of 10,000 files that can be indexed, which includes files that may be nested under the link shown in the hub. Given this, it would be helpful if we could manually disable Box AI for Hubs on specific hubs that we know are indexed for over 10K files so that users do not get an error message on those hubs when they try to use Box AI. (Possibly hiding the Box AI icon.) Additionally, it would be helpful if Box would automatically temporarily disable Box AI if during indexing, a hub where Box AI is allowed grows to over 10,000 indexed files. A tool tip could indicate why Box AI has been grayed out so that the organization could make a decision on how to address the situation.

Upload data with binary
Allow to attach additional data points (metadata) while uploading the binary file to Box.
Currently we have to make separate API call to Box's metadata endpoint.
This would be very useful as could simplify our flows and reduce API calls.6 votes -
event stream api
Within the Event stream API, have the ability to filter events by folder ID in the “Get Enterprise Events” API call.
In addition, add missing data in Response certain event types such as:
- Folder delete doesn't give file path
- Copy gives item id of source but not name or link
- Rename doesn't give source file path

Using variables in Box Relay messages
When sending messages using the Box Relay feature, it would be more convenient if variables could be used within the message.
For example, if you use the name of the file that triggered the flow as a variable and send a message saying "Approval of the submitted file named <variable> has been completed," it will be clear which workflow has completed.12 votes -
Expand 1000 character prompt limit
The prompt limit of 1000 characters is way too small for anything but simple requests. Users are unable to feed in much additional data for comparison to the source document, greatly limiting the capability of the tool. Much better results are derived from loading the source document and any other required information into ChatGPT, with a larger and multimodal prompt.

Use relay to move files to an archived folder based on a metadata date condition
We have a relay workflow that accepts a file via "File Request" (Trigger) and has a metadata values attached, we want the file to be moved to another folder (Archive) based on the expiration date on the incoming metadata template.
In a subsequent trigger we are unable to make the expiration date condition of the metadata "if older than a year" only a set date picked from the calendar. It would be great to have a custom condition based on the values accepted on the metadata templates.1 vote -
Cannot specify official apps in Shield's list
The Shield List allows third-party integration tools to be configured as integrations, but official apps such as Box Mobile App and Box Edit cannot be configured.
This causes the following problems.
- Mobile apps cannot be excluded from “suspicious session” detection. Since mobile apps are accessed via carrier lines, their IP addresses are different from those of PCs, and if they are accessed at the same time, they are detected as suspicious sessions.
- Office co-editing cannot be added to the linked apps whitelist in the access policy. It is impossible to control “prohibit DL on BoxDrive, but allow Office co-editing from web apps. The Shield List allows third-party integration tools to be configured as integrations, but official apps such as Box Mobile App and Box Edit cannot be configured.

Addition of palm rejection function
[Reason for requesting implementation of the function]
When using Box Sign, fingers or hands can touch the screen and cause unintended lines to be drawn.
This can be prevented by being careful not to touch the screen, but since we sometimes ask customers to sign documents,
it would be very much appreciated if a palm rejection function was added.2 votes -
File Container Name on Add to Hubs
When adding to Hub from Box, the File Block Title does not show, making it confusing to select the correct block to add to.

Multiple metadata templates can be added to Hubs
Currently, only one metadata template can be added to the Hub search function, but we would like to set up multiple templates.
Customer use case:
The customer is using metadata on a business unit basis, and is designing metadata templates on a smaller scale than the Hub. (Example: Sales campaign management)
The customer is concerned that if they create a Hub for the sales department, they will only be able to search metadata related to sales campaigns, and there will be no opportunity to improve searchability using other metadata.
2 votes -
Confirmation Dialog for DAdd Confirmation Prompt Before Uploading Files in Box Web torag-and-Drop File Uploads to Prevent Accidental Uploads
While a similar request has been made for Box Drive, I believe that the same risk of accidental file uploads exists when using Box via the web interface. In particular, there is a concern about the unintended upload of important files to the wrong folder, which could result in information leaks. Unlike bulk operations, even a single mistaken upload of a sensitive file can have serious consequences.
Therefore, I would like to request the addition of a confirmation message or dialog before uploading files in Box (web version), especially when using drag-and-drop or other upload methods, to help prevent accidental uploads.

How to Replace SharePoint with Hubs
🙏 Please help us deprecate Microsoft SharePoint by providing the following five features in Hubs:
- Pages within a Hub, preferably navigable in a horizontal structure at the top of the Hub (I believe this is already in the works - yay!)
- A no-code way to access/interact with a Viva Engage community that we have built to facilitate company-wide communication around many specific topics.
- Ability to place images directly on the Hub page and scale as desired, more like current capability in a Box Note (carousel view option)
- Ability to embed a video for viewing within the Hub
- Ability to assemble upcoming suggested events like webinars, meetings, conferences, etc. (carousel view option)
Bonus Feature: some type of progress tracker visualization bar/ tool that provides at-a-glance project status awareness. Even if the object requires manual editing to instigate visual advancement, that's still very useful!

Update Metadata Through Relays
This is a function that is already available in the API, but it would be nice to be able to dynamically change metadata values on a template that has already been applied previously through Box Relays.
For example, if I have a document with a metadata field and value of 'Status: Inactive' and I run the document through a flow that has it approved via a task, I would like to be able to change the metadata to read 'Status: Active' as an outcome of the flow.

Download all files from view
Currently, you are only able to download the files visible in a view. If there are more than 25 files you want to download, you need to complete multiple batches. If you have a folder with 500 items in it, you can download the whole folder.
We would like to see an option where you can export all files in a view like you can with a folder so specific information can be aggregated across our environment and retrieved via a Box App
1 voteWe are not currently planning on offering bulk downloads as it is possible to have many thousands of files returned in a View.
However, you can change this setting (Files and Folders per page) for your user to 100 to get more items on a single page in Box Apps as it respects that setting on a per-user basis.
You can also use the "Location" column to go to the Folder that contains that file if what you want to download is in the same folder hierarchy.
