Use Box Sign with Box Notes
I want to sign Box Notes files, and make the signed note read-only if possible.

Allow for alerts or other actions on file downloads with sensitive content.
Under Governance and content security, allow policies to be created for file download that would alert or quarantine files on Download with sensitive information such as social security numbers, credit card numbers, bank account/routing numbers, PII, CUI, Proprietary, Confidential, Classified, or Secret. You can create policies for these files that trigger on upload which seems backwards. I want sensitive content to be uploaded into Box rather than other locations. I don't want it to be removed from Box.

Enable option with Shield Access Policy to break hard coded waterfall permissions (e.g. Editor --> View).
E.g. everybody who is not the owner of the content previously was an Editor, but after I overlay a "View Only" Access Policy and Classification Label to the content, then everyone who is not the Owner of the content is View Only.

I would like the ability to hide malicious content in BoxShield.
If malicious content is uploaded to Box, we would like the ability to hide the content as well as suppress downloads.
If possible, we would like the content to be hidden automatically.
*For example, if infected with ransomware, we would like to hide the infected file and the file with the threatening message.This is because we want to take action on the administrator's side so as not to worry users.

For version display, extend Preview UI element to take version id as one of the optional parameter and not default to Preview of current version if version id is present.

Data Exfiltration Notification, receive an email notification when a large download is initiated
Would like to received a notification when a user initiates a download. Set a specific threshold for total size or number of files downloaded, get notification if a user starts to download over the threshold.
Reason: Visibility on data exfiltration.

File Request+Metadata issue : Unexpected changing number via mouse operation
When requesting a number field of metadata with a file request link, the number may changes unintentionally due to the user's scrolling the mouse.

Ability to recognize a similar document to prepopulate signature, text, and other fields
In Docusign, we can upload a document and place the signature and text box fields required to save it as a template. Then later, when we upload that same document generated from our software (that is populated with the deal specific information), it recognizes a matching document as a template, so it places the fields without us having to manually place them. Using a template doesn't work since each contract has different information and it would be more information to manually transcribe than generate and place signatures.

Ability to receive CC before the signature request is complete
Ability to CC someone on a signature request and have them receive their copy before completion of the request.
Box sign only allows the CC to receive the document after the request has been complete.

Co-edit password-protected files
Under current specifications, password-protected files are not supported by Box for Office Online and cannot be co-edited.
The password must be removed on the file for collaborative editing.
We request the ability to collaborate on editing even passworded files, such as being able to temporarily remove the password on Box.5 votes -

Need API to download files from Trashed folders
As of now we can able to download files from Trash, but when we try to download files from the folder that is trashed by user under legalhold, we can't do it. This is a gap in edisocvery process. Can you please publish the API endpoint to download the files from trashed folders as well? We can't tamper the user data.
Same kind of request available in these 2 places well.

E.g. Owner of folder is also notified. Today, only Co-Admins can get Box Shield Threat Detection notifications.

For the Create Zip Download API call, there's an issue with files with name conflicts being renamed randomly. Instead, could we provide our own file name for the file name conflicts? https://developer.box.com/reference/post-zip-downloads/#request-example

Lack of reports on copy operations to external folders
We strongly request the improvement of the display specification when the log of copying an item to an external tenant's folder is output to the report.
In the current specification, when the destination folder is an external tenant, the report only shows the copied file as "External File".
In other words, we can determine "who" copied "when" and "some file," but we cannot determine "where" and "what" was copied.We believe this is a major problem in monitoring and preventing information leaks.
I thought it was one of Box's great strengths that most of the operation logs are stored and…6 votes -
Better sorting by relevance with search terms
When I search for an exact file name, to find all copies of that file within a folder structure, the "See All Results" page does not put all the "hits" of that exact file name at the top of the list. I have to scroll down through many other files with partial hits in the name to find all copies. Why would it not sort by exact file names first, then partial file name matches, then contents ... ?
