Restrict Number of users in Group
I would like the option to restrict the number of users in a group.
The reason is each department has a cap to how many users they can register and if we can stop other admin adding more than they are allowed, it would make the management easier.6 votes -
Modify session duration across all plans
A 14 day session duration is a highly unnecessary security risk for any organization working information with any level of sensitivity. Please open up the ability to reduce this to any paid plan, rather than only the Enterprise plan. It feels like a very minor thing compared to the more complex feature sets and automation that otherwise distinguish the plans. It was sub-optimal, but somewhat acceptable, to not be able to reduce this when the default was 48 hours, but it's really concerning to not be able to do so now that the default has been made so much longer.

OCR support for Japanese in Android
OCR cannot recognize Japanese language in Android devices.

Forcing a page refresh when access is revoked
Currently within the webapp, if someone created a public link and scope of the link access changes from "People with the link" to either of the more restrictive options, the user can still view contents of the page despite getting an updated floating notification that says "Sorry, you no longer have access to this note."

We would like Box to have a secure calendar available for office use.
We would love if Box had their own calendar available for office use. I work for a mobile anesthesiologist. We use Box to store patient info/files. Right now we use Google calendar for scheduling purposes, but can't put any patient information on it, as it's not secure. It would be great if Box had a secure calendar that we can use for scheduling. Mostly we would like if we can copy a patient's file to the day they are scheduled, so all of the info the doctor needs for the day is all in one place.

starts with, ends with, contains in metadata search
We have quite a large number of folders and files for a specific application in Box. To filter results, we'd like toi be able to use "Contains", "starts with" or "ends with" in the metadata search fields

Prevent copy/move actions during upgrade
When upgrading, current files should be maintained so there is no loss of workflow and access to files other than for making change.s. There should be a freeze on all changes to the folders so that folders are inadvertently moved and duplicated and manipulated by those that have access. Currently those without anything but viewing permissions can go in during the upgrade and copy and move files and change permissions so they have access. That should not be. Files should be frozen.

Box Mobile - Hyperlink files embedded within Excel
While opening linked files within an excel file on the Box mobile application.
This is happening due to the current preview architecture for excel files and nested/linked files within the Box application. Although you can 'see' the desired file visible on the screen, within your current workflow, the Box app only recognizes the original file as being 'opened' which is why the original files are being saved and not the file open currently.

Search document properties in Automated Classification
When exporting design files into PDFs, document properties are often saved alongside the files to designate the sensitivity - for instance, a document may be labeled "confidential".
If we could search for custom terms in these document properties, we could catch some of the classifications already going on.

Add ability to Move Folders & Delete Folders through Zapier
Currently, there is no ability to move or delete a folder through Zapier. This functionality would greatly improve our ability to keep our folder structure organized and cut down on reliance on users to perform these actions.

Enhanced Locking Experience on Box Drive for Mac
With Enhanced Locking on Box Drive now launched for Windows (https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360063653693-Box-Drive-v2-21-Release-Notes), it'll be great to have the same experience, i.e. opening a file will prompt the user to lock the file and auto-unlock the file when closing the file, for Mac users.
This way all users, no matter what OS they use, can have the same Enhanced Locking experience when working with files via Box Drive.

Ability to view file menu without zooming out
In order to see the entire "More options" menu for a specific file, I need to ZOOM OUT. It cuts off even on a larger monitor/resolution at 100%.

File upload restriction to ensure file name matches the folder name
We would like to store files in the correct folder for each customer.
What I want to say is that we have to accurately store files entrusted to us by our clients in the proper folders. However, this is done manually by a person, so it is possible to make a mistake but we are not allowed to make mistakes.Therefore, when storing files in a folder, we would like to establish a mechanism to block attempts to store files that do not match by having the file name and folder name match.

Save preview of PDF-files in my box drive.
Why doesn't preview of PDF-files work for pdf-files saved in my box.com, when friends, that has got the share-link from me, tries to open the pdf-file ???
My idéa is "Make it work" !!! It isn't rocket science !

Output the hostname of the upload destination to the Box Edit log
Box Edit selects the upload destination host from the preflight response, and the upload destination is vary.
If the customer has a strict set of FW rules, only certain files may fail to upload, in which case you will need to get a network capture to verify the destination host.
Obtaining network captures is a difficult operation for endusers to perform, and it is taking a long time to resolve the issue.

Linking NS records to existing Box folders located in NS integration folder
We would like to be able to link NS records to Box folders that are located in the NS integration folder. For example, we would like to store all of our opportunity content in a folder structure that rolls up to the customer. Knowing the default folder will be created underneath the opportunity structure, we'd like to link the opp record to a folder that "lives" in the customer folder structure.
We are currently not able to do this and continually get the error: The Box SuiteApp is not set as an owner or co-owner of this folder. Please add…
