1. Send a notification regarding document lock/unlock timing

   For teams that are actively working on a single document, the lock/unlock feature is nice to prevent version control issues. However, it would be nice to have additional notifications are this feature, namely:

   • "Notify me when this file is unlocked"
   • "Warn me [the person who locked the file] when the file lock is about to expire"
   • "Warn me [the person who locked the file] if I've left the file locked AND inactive for more than X minutes"

   Etc.

2. Box Drive Backup Controls

   Please allow me to use Box Drive to backup files to the cloud (not sync them). Allow me to designate folders where I add files that are (a) added to the cloud and (b) removed from local storage. Allow me to choose when the removal happens (e.g. every night at midnight).

4. allow admins to access new user account without onboarding

   when a new user is added to our Enterprise a new user onboarding workflow is started. As an admin I would like to access the new users account without being hampered by the onboarding workflow. I would like to leave the workflow for the new user to step through but I can't get to their 'all files' if that hasn't happened.

5. How does "Restore All" in Trash work?

   From my testing, it appears when you have a bunch of content deleted out of order (from bottom up rather than top down) in your trash and you click "Restore All", Box will not automatically restore everything back in the appropriate order, but rather will start restoring until it reaches an item without a parent folder. It will then initiate the "The folder(s) where one or more of the selected items were originally located no longer exist" pop-up. Is this expected behavior? 7. Setting up Box Edit to open in multiple applications

   Currently, when editing a file in Box Edit, there is only one application based on the extension that can be opened on the desktop.
   If you want to change the program selected by Box Edit, you need to change the registry value (HKEYCLASSESROOT\SystemFileAssociations).
   However, depending on the user's environment, registry operations may be blocked by the administrator and cannot be circumvented in this way.

   Can you please develop a standard feature that allows multiple applications to be selected when opening a file in Box Edit?
   This would greatly improve the efficiency of the work.

11. Install Box Sync on PC using existing Box Sync folder

    This only describes how to download the Box Sync data all over again. I do not have high-speed internet, so this would take weeks to do.

    All I did was change out my storage drive. All of the Box Sync data was copied exactly, so all 50GB of data is still there. I just need to have it see that the files in the current folder are the same (you can use the filename, location, and file size). Syncing the file's timestamp with my PC would be a nice feature, as my PC is always the original.

12. Adding commas in tags

    We'd like to be able to add comma's in tags we apply files. For example, we'd like to place a tag for "1,250" on a file. Right now if we try that, it will show up as two tags, "1" and "250".

13. File size limits for File Request uploads

    We have tried using the File Request to encourage our supply chain to upload files directly from our filing system on Box instead of using unathorised file transfer services, however it frequently fails due to file size. I note in the FAQ that the maximum file upload size is limited by that permitted by the content submitter - it would be more useful if the file upload size was based by that permitted by our account as the organisation requesting the file. As the File Request service also doesn't permit uploading of folders, this often means our content submitters have to upload a zip file which may exceed the file size permitted for their account, discouraging them from using it.

15. Add "ent" to the URL of the shared link

    Please add "ent" to the URL of the shared link.

    Currently, "ent" is not appended to the URLs of shared links issued by tenants who have enabled the Box Verified Enterprise feature.

    In certain countries and regions, access to "box.com" may not be possible.
    One effective way to get around this is to access Box from a URL with "ent.box.com".

    When a shared link is issued by a BVE tenant, if the URL has "ent" attached to it, there will be fewer actions by the customer beyond that point, making the interaction smoother.

16. Request for improvement of mail upload function

    From this email, the user knows that the upload failed but does not know to which folder the upload failed. By including the information about the folder in this mail, the user can know which folder the mail upload failed, so please add that information.

    ・Users upload faxes that arrive at the multifunction device as e-mail attachments to the fax folder of Box using the mail upload function.
    ・Since each user has to move or delete the uploaded files, the user who collaborated with Box's fax folder has been granted the rights of an editor.
    ・Each user is optionally configured to receive an email notification when a file is uploaded to the Box fax folder.

    By performing the above setting, the paper ejection of the fax is eliminated, and the PDF is directly ejected into the Box and the reception notification is received. Fax reception can be confirmed even on different floors and when teleworking, so printing costs are not incurred, loss is prevented, and there is no need to scan later.

    However, a user with Editor rights accidentally clicked "Allow uploads to this folder via email" in the folder settings and reissued the URL for the mail upload.

    As a result, files uploaded to the previous URL were lost. In addition, since it was not possible to check which folder and when the setting was changed in the report, etc., it took a lot of effort to identify the folder. This is how the request for improvement came about. We are currently taking measures by increasing backup methods.

    Please consider it in order to make it simple and safe.

    I found a problem with the current mail upload function, so I would like Box to improve it.
