2. Introduce a combination of version labels and version dependent permissions.

   Compared to legacy ECM systems, versioning in box is limited to data states over time. There is no notion of a document lifecycle attached to a certain version (WIP, draft, published).

   The mandatory check in/out of legacy ECM makes the system very user unfriendly. However, it would be nice if we could somehow label certain versions. The list of labels could either be fixed, or user definable.

   If we combine this feature with a new permission: "view documents with status published", we could now have one directory where people work on their documents, but external people would only see the ones they have published.

   Such a setup would allow for an easier way of working, since documents won't have to be copied anymore to shared folders. One could work in the shared folder but within it, only certain documents would be shared.

3. Viewer does NOT see Download button in Context Menu ('...' menu) nor in Action Bar when multiple items are selected

   .Given that Viewers have the ability to download watermarked files, the Download button should appear everywhere as normal. This ticket is to add the Download button in the following two locations for Viewers:

4. Add text notification that "Create Password" link will expire in 48 hours.

   It is not uncommon to let an email sit for a few days or come back to it.

   We are suggesting adding a comment on under that link notifying users that they should set that password now, since it'll expire.

   This could drive quicker action with all users and less work on Admins who need to resend.

5. Refresh Tokens coordinating with IdP Requirements

   We would like our Box refresh tokens to align with our IdP requirements.

   We use Azure (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/active-directory-configurable-token-lifetimes).

   Azure supports configurable refresh tokens. Can/Will Box configurable refresh tokens eventually respect these IdP refresh tokens?

6. Allow for file or folder name to wrap

   Longer file or folder names do not display the whole name in the new UI.

   We have specific naming conventions that are longer than the current character count.

   The old web app allowed for wrapping. Please restore this functionality.

10. Redirect collaborator invite email links to ent.box.com as opposed to app.box.com for enterprises that have Box Verified Enterprise enabled

    Currently, when a managed user in the BVE-enabled instance invites an external collaborator into a folder, the invite email takes the collaborator to app.box.com to login.

    This redirect action, however, will fail with external collaborators who are in China.

11. Option to enforce transfer limit for FTP uploads

    Our users upload millions of files with FTP and it's putting a strain on our DLP server.

    We would like to enforce a size limit on transfer to eliminate some of the stress we're seeing.

    Box says "We recommend that no more than 150,000 files or 250GB of total data should be included in each FTP batch" but that doesn't seem to be a hard cap.

14. Change wording of a shared file to a more specific title other than "Shared"

    When a Shared Link is created, the file bar in the Web App shows the term "Shared".

    It would be beneficial if this showed the specific nature of the shared link, for example instead of "Shared" the "Share" button would change to "In Your Company", "In This Folder", "Everyone".

15. Server side un-zipping of files

    Some teams share very large (multi-GB) zip files and a separate team members need to see the contents of these zips.

    Having the full team wait for Box Edit Open with Compressed (zip file) option or using Box Sync are our only workarounds today and not time or network efficient for users.

17. App launcher should use web URL, open in Box App, and encourage user to download Box App if not present.

    I can create a link that will open the box app by using what is known as an applink. This technique is sometimes called Deep Linking.

    'boxapp://' opens box on iOS or Android.

    BUT traditionally this has left developers needing to try to catch and handle what happens when the Box app isn't already installed (which is also people's very first experience of the launcher app). This typically involves time-outs and other such messiness. By default if the app is not present, no helpful message is given. I note at present your html representation of content shows the 'get box app' and 'open in app' options but the client doesn't want people needing to choose.

    Progressively in both Android and iOS, there is a strategy by which the authoritative owner of some Web content can choose for that to be associated with their app and the OS will transition from browser to app, downloading the app as necessary. The app becomes associated with specific domains and URI patterns (similar to a preferred app for opening specific file suffixes).

    This latter approach is associated with labels like Intents and Universal Links. But it's not possible to set up the affinity for which box content is associated with the box app myself.. Only the owner of the boxapp and box content can do that. So I'm wondering is that just around the corner?

    My Launcher app would be as simple as a regular Web URL linking to the box content, which would result in that content opening in the Box App, whereby the OS would ensure that the Box App installation Page from the store is shown, if the app is not yet available.

    We support deep linking and universal links on iOS. All regular Box links should with the Box app today as long as their app invokes universal links the right way (ex: redirects ignore universal links).

18. Access Stats: Ability for Users in Restrict Content Creation EIDs to Still Use Export Feature

    Provide a folder picker as part of the Export flow to allow users in EIDs with Restrict Content Creation to still take advantage of the Export feature.
