Improve online Permissions integrations with Box Drive to local Applications (Excel)
If a user is a "View only" collaborator in a folder on Box and they attempt to open a file with a program like Excel through Box Drive, they will receive an error message from Box Drive about not having permissions to save changes. This happens even if no changes are made, and the user is left with 'unsynced' files they must reconcile.
In a similar experience on a "real NTFS" volume, Excel would display "Read-Only" beside the title of the file. No errors would be displayed unless the user attempted to actually save to the directory.

Preview embedded videos in PDFs
We have a team that wants to embed videos in PDFs and have that render using Box’s previewer in the browser. The target audience will only be able to view these files in the browser and not download them.

Enable a enterprise setting to not require the use of the verification email when creating accounts that are not SSO
I have the need to be able to have accounts created in our test instance and then be able to either directly log into these account or go into them via the Admin Console to log in to verify settings and other items. The Test instance is currently not requiring SSO, direct login to Box only. So the request will be either have a enterprise setting or per user setting to be able to create a Box account but just have it able to be logged into without a verification email being sent and the link being selected.

File should no longer be highlighted when not selected
You can select the item in Box Webapp by clicking it and the item turns light blue/grayish to indicate that it’s selected. You can uncheck it by clicking the blank area but the color for that item remains (though it gets a bit lighter). This is confusing and color should disappear if item is not selected.

Permissions for forensic investigations
Would like a “forensic” co-admin permission. The “forensic” co-admin permission would have the permission to “login as…” any user; however, any action they take “as user” will not be reported either in access stats or in other user accessible reports.
This will allow our team to conduct forensic investigations without alerting the end user.

Show All Files instead of current folder during Move/Copy
Our end users have been complaining about the recent change to the move/copy functionality. Previously, when you would click move/copy, it would take you to the all files display. Now it takes you to the folder you are already in, which they say is counterintuitive. These users are moving hundreds of files a day and are unhappy about extra step/click needed now.

Preview save and display last viewed page when returning
Have webapp revert to last page you were on (e.g. page 4 out of 10) after exiting out of preview. Currently if you exit a preview it takes you back to page 1 which is cumbersome and undesired.

Using Box for Salesforce on Salesforce Knowledge
Salesforce Knowledge is useful for service organizations for keeping internal and external customers up-to-date on the latest support items.
Box for Salesforce is a great way to manage assets related to specific Salesforce records and keep things organized.
Making Box for Salesforce available on Salesforce Knowledge would save space, apply the same asset organization and save on Salesforce storage space.
This would be different than the Box Community app which allows you to preview a specific Box file on a page.

Show "Last Updated By" in Box Sync
In BOX.com, there is a field to show the “last updated by”, which shows the name of the collaborator who last modified the file.
Would like the same feature to be available in Box Sync. We would like to tag the filename with the modified by collaborator via a script.

Drive: More granular controls when designating a file as Marked for Offline
I tried to select particular folders to sync, but found that other folders that I had not selected were then trying to sync. I tried to stop them syncing, to find that then stopped the folders I was trying to sync. After going backwards and forwards a few times, Box Drive crashes.
I just want this feature to work as it should, syncing just the folders I want and leaving the rest as online access only.
What is happening is that when you click on a folder to select it and then mark it for offline, it is fine.

Make source.parent.name to include all of path
source.parent.name show just folder name.
For example, if the collaborator folder is A and it lcates “All files/A”. the customer get api.box.com/2.0/events?streamtype=adminlo..,
source/parent/name just show A. This behavior make the user not to find the folder easily.

Automatically transfer files based on the file's last modified date
Desired: A tool that, based on last modified date, (automatically) transfers files to Box before or after a certain date.
Currently: Users have to manually sort files by last modified date and select files to transfer to Box. For automatic batch transfers from personal machines or file servers, users would have to use a time-based job scheduler tool in conjunction with an FTP client.

We need a web tool to scan all Box files, show a list of offending files with illegal characters, and fix on the spot.

Able to store #page= with PDF files
When saving a pdf and then sharing a URL, can add parameters so that it opens at the right page.
