If the parent company and multiple subsidiaries are using Box in separate tenants, I want to be able to manage them with one tenant.
If we were to integrate a parent company tenant and multiple subsidiary tenants into one tenant, it would take a lot of time to migrate a large amount of data, and it would be difficult to parallelize business operations, which would be unrealistic.
As an example, if the management is performed by the parent company's tenant, the purpose is as follows.
・User management is done by the parent tenant.
・Leave the data as is to multiple subsidiary tenants.

Box for Microsoft Office Co-Authoring for Password Protected Files
Unfortunately, co-authoring option is not currently supported for password-protected files. Box have told me this is because the system considers the password protection as a lock.
Therefore bringing it your attention to add this feature request.Also we are finding that co-authoring takes a lot long to open files and it is not as smooth as its made out to be.

Set the number of invitation reminder emails to be sent.
When a managed user invites an external user, I would like a feature that allows them to set the number of reminder emails to be sent, such as once a day, once every three days, once a week, etc.
This prevents random and careless reminder emails from being sent repeatedly to users of other companies.(日本語)

Option to overwrite metadata values when moving file
We would like the option for a metadata attribute to be overwritten automatically when moved to a folder with cascading metadata enabled for the same metadata template.
Here's our use case:
Some of our organization content currently sits in user folders. People accessing that content have no way of knowing where it sits, and therefore can't take action to move it to the desired location. Applying a metadata template indicating if content sits within a user or an organizational folder would be a great way to make this visible to users. Automatic validation of Box Folder and File access
At IBM we have various tools that have automated validations, where people who have access to the tool are notified to ensure that they have a continued business need to access the tool. At times the manager is also copied on the email.
I would like to see Box for IBM implement something for us to manage Box Folders and Files which people have access to IBM Confidential Information be more protected on a regular basis.

It would be nice to limit the characters allowed in a text field (either via the markup page or through a parameter in the template tags) (e.g. '[[t|1|m:1|limit:300]]). This way users can't type in an essay, typing OVER existing text already in the PDF

Classification Stats as a Chart or Card on the Insights Page

I want the folder selection screen to be sorted by name.

Enhance error messages when storage exceeded to identify which account is over storage
When a user uploads an item to a folder that would exceed the quota, it says "Account storage limit reached." This is misleading if the folder is owned by another user. Users ask for more quota, but it's a different account that has the problem. Please identify the folder owner of the folder that's over quota in the error message.
This applies both to Web UI and Box Drive error messages.

Name in the notification email of Box Relay should be the initiator of a workflow rather than workflow owner/creator.
Currently the name displyaed in the notification email of Box Relay is the name who owned/created the workflow.
It's idal to be displayed Name of initiator of a workflow in the notification email especially in caseunspecified majority of people might launch the workflow by manual.
Enabling the above feature makes it much easier to confirm user who start the flow.27 votes -

Notify users before account becomes inactive.
System should have the feature to set the days before notification goes out to users that are approaching the threshold of inactivity (user not accessing Box).

Enabling external links/references in excel workbooks
In Excel any external references (e.g. in macros or other workbooks) are disabled, for data driven companies who use excel heavily it would be ideal to have these functions available in box drive. Using Box online can be limiting.

Box Shuttle Scheduling Feature onboard
Currently BoxShuttle does not have a scheduler function.

Include comments in workflow complete email
Customer who uses Relay a lot for their AP/procurement process. People involved in the invoice approval process often leave comments in the workflow related to each job/invoice. Customer wants to see all of the comments associated with that approval workflow when they receive the email confirmation that the workflow is compete. That email confirmation is saved and they want the context that the comments provide included in that confirmation email.
