   -Overview-
   example: the 'ga' syllabary series in the Japanese alphabet
   'ガ'is U+30AC on windows or unix/linux
   -> NFC(Normalization Form Canonical Compression)
   'ガ'is U+30AB U+3099U on mac OSX
   -> NFD(Normalization Form Canonical Decompression)

   As you know, mac OSX　use only NFD.
   Windows use NFC usually, but NFD can be used at the same time.

   When trying to share BOX folder between Win and mac, Inconvenience occurs.

   -problem-
   First
   In Windows explorer, NFC and NFD are displayed as the same character on the screen, so they are indistinguishable.

   The second
   In Adobe InDesign, image files are managed as "link files", but file names are managed by NFC, so upload InDesign data created on mac OS to the shared BOX folder and download it on Windows. Cutting file link will occur.

   The third
   Where NFC uses one character in UTF-8, NFD uses two characters in UTF-8.
   The file "がぎぐげござじずぜぞだぢづでどばびぶべぼぱぴぷぺぽガギグゲゴザジズゼゾダヂヅデドバビブベボパピプペポヴ.txt" can be used on macOSX, but this file cannot be saved on the BOX server by Finder using BOX Drive.
   Even if two characters are used, "xx.txt" uses only 106 characters.
   And from Windows PC,
   The file "がぎぐげござじずぜぞだぢづでどばびぶべぼぱぴぷぺぽガギグゲゴザジズゼゾダヂヅデドバビブベボパピプペポヴ.txt" (By NFC) there will be no problem with BOX Drive.
   But, with macOS X / Box Drive, the inside of the BOX server is not displayed in the Finder.
   "がぎぐげござじずぜぞだぢづでどばびぶべぼぱぴぷぺぽガギグゲゴザジズゼゾダヂヅデドバビブベボパピプペポヴ.txt"(By NFC) uses only 55 characters in NFC.
   Are you having another problem?

   -Operation on mac OSX-
   When writing to a FAT32 formatted USB memory device on mac OSX, write the file name using NFC.

   When uploading data to a shared folder using the cifs protocol on mac OSX, write the file name in NFC format.

   When uploading data to a shared folder using the AFP protocol on mac OSX, write the file name in NFC format.

   On mac OSX, write file name in NFD format only when writing data to HFS+ format HDD.

   mac OSX does not accept any NFC on HFS+, and NFC automatically converts to NFD when downloading data from the BOX server.

   -Proposal-
   When writing data to the BOX server using BOX Drive for MacOS, please convert it to NFC instead of NFD and write the data.

   When uploading to the BOX server, no one will be troubled even if it is converted to NFC instead of NFD and saved. Inconvenience has occurred rather than being saved as NFD.

2. Allow "character sequence" searches

   If I want to find all instances of "book", I do not want results that include "books" or "bookmark". In other normal searches, I would enter "book " with a space before the closing quote, however this does not work in Box's search.

   Boolean doesn't work here because I'm only after one term.

   This is a big issue for me because I need to search and delete information to conform to NDA requests.

3. Create exceptions for auto-expiration of sharing and external collaborators

   We have auto-expiration on file sharing but often need to share files with external collaborators for an indefinite amount of time. We can't keep re-sharing the file. Same for external collaborators - we have auto-expiration but we can't keep re-sharing folders with them.

4. Disable integration email notification

   ForeScout currently has an integration setup with DocuSign to upload a copy of any completed PDFs to Box. When this occurs, we receive an email from DocuSign with the PDF attachment and also the below email from Box. This is the Docusign to Box integration. The email from Box does not provide detail around where the file was saved or a link to access it. Given that we have a rather high volume of these uploads, I was wondering if there was a way to disable email notifications like this.

5. Download notification when opening a file

   Currently. Download notification. Opening a file through Drive, which downloads the file on demand, and does not trigger this notification. For example, user A download a file through Drive, Folder owner B doesn't receive download notification although the folderset download notification in Folder settings. The download event should trigger sending notification. Expected Behavior: Opening a file through Drive, which downloads the file on demand, and it triggers this notification. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Folder Owner set download notification by selecting "Override default settings for this folder and all subfolders" 2. Opening a file through Drive, which downloads the file on demand 3. 6. More accurate presentation on progress bar of preview

   Preview of a large file can take long time for rendering, and currently progress bar goes from 0 to 90% quite quickly, but never progresses from that point. This is misleading and we want progress bar to give more accurate presentation on how much longer we need to wait for preview to be loaded.

8. View comments without opening a file's preview

   We would like to hover over a file and be able to see the file's comments by the comments appearing at the bottom or side of the page. We would love to see this on both mobile and desktop but would ask for priority on desktop. We write descriptions for our files in comments and then organize our files this way - this becomes time consuming when we have to open each file to preview to view the comments. If we can just hover over the file without opening it to see comments, it would really increase productivity!

12. View and configure enterprise webhooks in the UI

    Provide a UI where we can see the webhooks that have been created across our enterprise applications. We have had some webhooks deleted because of users deleting folders or webhooks. Also, we have a case where a webhook stopped triggering. After calling the 'list all webhooks' api, we don't see that webhook created. No one has deleted it so it's difficult to understand what happened to this webhook trigger.

As in, when it changes from “Item Share Updated” to actual details about what happened to the shared link. The verbiage could mean a number of things, and it makes it unclear to the admin what happened. A few of the things that this can mean are: Access type changed to people with the link, access type changed to people in your company, access type changed to invited people only.

    Use case:
    When security requests reports on links set to open, it is impossible for us to identify specifically when that happened.

15. Rotate/Zoom PDF within Preview

    Similar to image types (e.g., jpg, png, etc.) where can rotate within the Document Viewer, be able to rotate pdf within Document Viewer in Box. Reason being, sometimes images are embedded within pdf to which may need to rotate to get a better view of.

    Currently, you can only Tag a document when viewing list of files and folders. It would be nice if could Tag document within Box's Document Viewer, likely in the 'Activity' pane where see Add Task and Comments.

    Example, when click on pdf document hyperlink to which brings up pdf document's contents within browser, to be able to Tag directly here.

17. Identify ALL 'Tags' used across enterprise instance

    Currently, you can search by Tags but only if you know the specific Tag label/name.
    
    Problem is, you may not necessarily know all the Tags users within your organization are using.
    Additionally, there is no standard report to which can export a list of all Folders and Files that have Tags.

    •Foremost, it would be nice to have a way of identifying all tags used across your organization.
    •If possible, if can offer a standard report similar to Files and Folders report that indicates Tags associated to them other than using the Search or API.

18. Quarantine Folder Customization

    We'd like additional customizations for quarantine files including search, notifications, and outreach to folder owners.

    Is there a way to notify the folder owner and co-owner if an item is quarantined? We don’t see anything in the Admin Console to set that.

    Alternatively, is there a way to customize the quarantine email to add a contact instead of “your administrator”?
