Hi,

Notification of uploads from external users
Ability to set Notification of uploads from external users only. Essentially, want to know when an external user has uploaded a file so we don't have to constantly check specific folder to see if client (ie external user) has uploaded a file.

NetSuite - More information on 'Box Record Folder' custom record
In the NetSuite-Box integration (v2) there is a custom record type (Box Record Folder). A record is created for each folder created in Box for each NetSuite record. This record currently contains the following information: NetSuite Record ID, Box Record Folder ID, and NetSuite Record Type. I would like to see more information on this record that would allow useful searches of Box information (via this custom record) without having to create additional Box integrations or scripting inside NetSuite. Specifically, I'd like to see:
-A direct link to the specified NetSuite Record (Custom Field of Type List/Record)

Allow uploading of files to locked NetSuite records
NetSuite workflows or script can lock a record, typically for approval purposes. Box file behavior should follow standard NetSuite file cabinet attachment behavior, namely, attachment permission is separated from the lock record function, so that files can still be attached, deleted, or renamed in Box on locked NetSuite records.

clearer highlighting needed when selecting a file on webapp
This is a request on how to display/express "Selected file(s)".
In the current specification, selected files glow blue(List View) or is surrounded by a blue border(Grid View).
There were opinions from some users that these expression is hard to see and difficult to distinguish.Opportunities to utilize Box are increasing and they are being used in various places, by various people.
For use in extremely bright/dark places, and for people with sight problems, please improve the way of expression.

Drive: Available offline to specific folders and not enterprise wide
We would like to allow available offline for user drives only or work spaces. But network shares which is considerable larger shouldn't have this option. So If we allow admins the ability to choose what folders can be marked for offline instead of enterprise wide.

large file size zip
When using the Shared Link for large zip files the user is directed to the Box site (https://wi-fi.app.box.com/), then given an error and a download button to retrieve the file. The error displayed is "We're sorry, this file type is not currently supported."
When using the Direct link to share a large zip file, rather than the user being taken to https://wi-fi.app.box.com/ the file is downloaded directly to their browser download folder. This is a much cleaner user experience.
Would like to have the same download experience for the Shared link, as the Direct link.

Custom Box Skills apps should have the same security options as regular apps
Currently when you go into the development console, create a new app, and select "Custom Skill", the configuration section gives you a client ID. However a "Custom app" gives you a clientId as well as a client secret in the OAuth 2 section. I have a box skill that generates metadata as well as facilitates an integration with another system, requiring me to create a client (box sdk) in order to modify sharing on the file and generate a link to view in the portal.

Ability to nest skill card metadata in the entries of skill cards
lets say I've created a custom skill that runs a transcription on a dropped audio or video file, identifying speakers a prepending the speaker title to each segment of continuously spoken text. If I could nest skill cards, I could run sentiment analysis on each segment and generate a skill card representing that (as a timeline card) while also cross linking any other areas of the file which had the same sentiment rating (using the provided 'appears').
This is just one example, but the flexibility would would lend its self to many more complicated implementations, possibly negating the need for…

Add field to see how a collaborator was added to a folder
Currently the has_collaborations field with the API will show if a user was added as a result of inheritance (waterfall permissions) or if they were added directly to the specific folder, but there is no way to distinguish between those. For performance reasons and limit the amount of calls, it would be helpful if there was a filed that could be added to distinguish how a collab to a folder occurred

Allow the option to transfer collaboration permissions when deleting a user. Currently, when deleting a user, it only gives us the option to transfer ownership of files and folders they own. But if a user were to undergo a name change, we would have to manually give their new Box account the same collaborative permissions as their old Box account (Co-owner, Editor, Viewer Uploader, Previewer Uploader, Viewer, Previewer, Uploader).
When deleting their Box account, Co-owner, Editor, Viewer Uploader, Previewer Uploader, Viewer, Previewer, and Uploader permissions currently do not transfer over.

Include a Disable Preview Option
I've been using BOX for years and the only complaint is from my clients who download from my shared links. Almost 90% of users complain that they get the message
"We're sorry, this file type is not currently supported."I understand from your viewpoint but from our viewpoint, we dont require such preview because our files are .zip, .rar, .7z, etc.
So PLEASE enable some option where I can enable or disable the auto-preview.
Remember, you guys are a cloud storage 1st solution. My clients should be able to download anything as simply as possible without getting confused about some…4 votes -
Hide admins/co-admins and owners/co-owners from collaborators
We would like a way to hide owners/co-owners, or potentially admins/co-admins, from the default view of collaborators on the right side preview panel.
We have a closed folder structure where admins & co-admins own content. Due to this. anytime a user is pre-viewing content in the webapp, the quick list of collaborators on the right hand panel shows the admins and doesn’t show other editors in the folder. This makes it difficult for them to quickly assess who is part of the folder without clicking into the collaborator view, since it always shows the admins/co-admins (owners/co-owners) by default. Save the default view for STL files on upload
We would like the ability to save the default view for STL files to save the orientation, render mode, and camera projection within the web preview
We used to be able to save the default view for STL files within a Box3d Metadata of the file. We no longer have that ability.

git-like ‘RAW’ mode for Box Notes
When I have a Boxnote with a trailing backslash (’\’) a copy-and-paste into an xterm (Linux X11, Mac OS Xquartz), it converts the backslash to a control character.
When I copy a Boxnote with a backslash I get the following:

Password Resets by Administrator
This weekend, our organization had an internet outage that stopped email from delivering for four days. I had a user whose password expired and due to the password reset process being wholly dependent on email, the user was unable to work in Box, which is where all their files are, so they couldn't work. I setup a call back and was told that the process needed email in order to manually reset the user's password.
