  1. Update Error Message When a User Accesses a Box URL for Content They're Not a Collaborator On

    When the recipient clicks on this link (the raw URL not Shared Link) and they're not a collaborator in the same folder, they receive a vague error that doesn't let them know what they did wrong that states "You cannot perform this action"

  2. Choose document quality and size upon upload

    For photos and videos you can choose whether the size is small, medium or large. It would be great to have this functionality available for documents as well.

    Separate permissions for when a user accesses Box internally and externally. For example, User has Editor permissions internally, same User has Preview only externally.

  7. Add Collaboration Blacklisting

    The ability to make a blacklist of collaborations (perhaps via domain) to prevent against the inbound or outbound collaboration with a certain (or set) of domains.

    The current collaboration whitelist capabilities do not permit for blacklisting -- they only allow for whitelisting.

  8. Folder-Level Sync Controls: Restrict Managed Users from syncing a folder (even if they're an Editor / Co-Owner)

    Be able to disable sync at the folder level regardless of co-owner or editor collaboration level. Users need to be added at these collaboration levels but they should not have the ability to sync certain folders to their machine (e.g., heavily collaborated content).

    We currently do not have this planned on our roadmap.  Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

    Box Shield may be a potential workaround for users interested in restricting syncing of specific content by classifying it. Though this will also prevent any downloads of the content as well.

    it can be used when all reviewers have a shared UNC (windows network path) to the same file. We would like to use it with third parties + Box

    We have no plans to support this specific request in the near-term. We will reconsider with additional demand.

  11. Custom messages, settings and language depending on geography.

    We need a different trash setting to the global instance due to european law.

    We would also like to push different messaging, welcome screens, languages to dependent on regions for adoption purposes.

    This is not currently planned on the roadmap. The suggested workaround is to manage different users in different EID.

  14. Only allow owners & co-owners to share links outside of the collaborator permissions they themselves control

    There is currently no ability to allow owners/co-owners of a folder to send open links, when the global enterprise settings are set to restrict sharing: 'People in this Folder'

    This is an interesting feature! However, it does not have enough demand in order to be prioritized. We will reconsider with additional feedback.

  17. Add folder/file path to usage log reports

    Currently, the usage log report only shows the most recent folder that it lives within, and not the entire path.

  19. Enable Web App to display the SHA-1 checksum for an object

    We work with multiple large files and would like to be able to view the SHA-1 checksum that is stored in Box from the Web App in order to validate file transfer integrity as necessary.

    This is a very acute use case that isn’t in line with what we’re currently investing in for Web App. We will re-evaluate with additional customer demand.

  20. Ability to type folder to choose to upload

    When copying a file to Box from another application, there is an option to upload it to a Box folder. You have to scroll to the appropriate folder and "Choose" the file. We would like the option to type the folder and locate the folder.
