Logging in with Google Account on Android
Once you allow Box to login using your Google Account credentials on your computer, you should be able to login using those same Google Account credentials using 'Company credentials' at the login screen on your Android mobile device. This currently is not the case, but users are able to do this on their iPhones.

Request to expose "ip_address" parameter through User Events endpoint as with Admin Events
ip_address parameter is exposed for events reported by the admin events endpoint. Please expose the same info for user events.
0 votesThis type of information should ideally be getting pulled from the enterprise events API. The User Events API is analogous to the updates feed in the Web App.
More detailed logging about how users are accessing content (e.g. IP address or service) is meant to be pulled from the Enterprise Events API as that’s a centralized location across the enterprise for auditing.

Add additional collaborator role between "Editor" and "Viewer Uploader" that allows a user to delete
The ability for a Viewer Uploader to also delete content
6 votesThanks for the suggestion! Based on the current information provided, we don’t currently have a feature like this planned.
We’d love to hear additional use case context from interested users, however, in why the need exists to have Viewer Uploaders be able to ‘delete’ without simply raising them to ‘Editor’ level. Any additional information would be very helpful.

Re-associate accounts when deleted user with same email re-joins enterprise
We need the ability to re-associate accounts when deleted user with the same email address joins (re-joins) our enterprise.
We have many scenarios where contractors become employees or employees are re-hired. We would like these transitions to be seamless from a Box perspective.

Add Item Owner to content-related events
Currently the API events do not contain the item owner for content-related activities (download, preview, etc.). Finding the owner of an item associated with an event requires subsequent API calls to inspect the object (file/folder).

Sorting: Fix the Incorrect Numerical Sort Order
The webapp currently handles number sorting in an odd (non-standard) way.
For example:
--For three file names beginning with: 1, 2, and 12
--The webapp would sort these as: 1, 12, 2
Which clearly isn't in the correct numerical order.Windows (and Finder) sort these correctly as: 1, 2, 12.
61 votesThis is the natural behavior for lexicographic sorting which treats everything as a string. We are unlikely to change this behavior in the near- or mid-term.

Bookmarked items do not sync and are not visible in the Sync client
We use Box bookmarks to avoid content duplication. Since we also use Sync, it is a confusing end-user experience

Video embed widget - choose screenshot for video
Users would like to be able to choose the screenshot that appears before the video begins.

We do not allow users to reinstate retention periods since it would create a lot of confusion around what happened between the times the policy was active.

Ability for Partial Searches
If the filename is Security Committee, searching ?Commit will find the file but searching omit will not.
Maybe the keywordless search option that is coming up will solve this? Not sure. Thanks!

Box for Outlook : Box icons not visible in preview mode.
We noticed that when using Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016 that the Box Add-on are not displayed when you reply to or forward a message in the preview pane.
The "Attach from Box" and "Upload and Attach" Box icons only appear when you "pop out" the message.

Report on all Upload email addresses that are created
Currently we can create a report on shared links. There is not a way to track all upload email addresses that have been created. The features surrounding upload email addresses is rather limited compared to the features associated with shared links.

Account Deactivated Message
We would like custom deactivated messages to redirect users to our helpdesk.
Current:
"Your account has been deactivated. Your administrator has deactivated this account. Please contact your administrator at EMAIL"Proposed:

If you think this was a mistake, please contact the Company Helpdesk."4 votesWe are not prioritizing custom messages for in app pop-ups at the moment. This is an edge use case, resource-intensive, and has a low ROI for the majority of our users. We will let you know if anything changes.

Enable Self-Serve Creation of Metadata Templates by Non-Admins
Customers would like a way to provide a sub-set of capabilities to their end-users to create metadata templates, without having to give them a co-admin level access to Box admin console.
