Users with View Uploader permissions should have the ability to edit folders they create
In this case, the viewer uploader is the owner of the sub folder they have created, but they cannot do anything to it once it is created.
Can it be filed to be reviewed or modified? If a person can create a folder, surely they can rename it, move files into it. If Box does not want the viewer uploader to be able to rename a folder or move items into it, do not allow viewer uploader the ability to create a sub folder.
2 votesAgreed that it is somewhat strange a viewer uploader can create a subfolder. I believe this was put in place, because creating a folder is somewhat like taking the upload action.
Sometimes, when many files are uploaded, it is cleaner to upload them all in one place, and so that is why the Viewer Uploader is granted this permission.
One particular odd consequence, is this person can now create a folder but not rename it (let’s say they made a typo).
This is not oft-requested and impacts a small minority of users. We can look at fixing this in the future with additional customer demand.

Restrict individual users by IP address
We want to restrict a specific Box account to be accessed from only a specific set of IP addresses. The issue at hand is a request to use Box for integration with a 3rd party. The 3rd party would be invited (shared to) a Box account and the 3rd party will be placing data into the Box account/folder.
On tour side, we will have a service account created that is the owner of this Box account/folder. The service account will connect from internal servers, pick up the data, do work on the data and then place data back in the…

Add a filter term to filter between App Users and Managed Users when making a get enterprise users call
Currently, the only filter terms when getting a list of enterprise users allow admins/co-admins to filter between managed users, external users, or both managed and external (all). An admin should be able to further filter managed users to return either App Users or standard managed users.
2 votesWe added the ability to filter out app users in the UI recently, and adding this functionality to the API is under consideration. We will provide updates if this item makes it onto our roadmap, but we would like to see more customer requests for this API enhancement.

Include Enterprise Events for access changes to shared links triggered by enterprise-wide settings updates
If an admin updates the enterprise-wide shared link settings from open to restrictive (for example, removes "People with the link" as an option), the access level on any existing open links is changed. This change is not included in Enterprise Events/Usage Log reports.
