0 Second .mov files do not preview
If a .mov file is 0 seconds in length, it fails to preview on Box.com and mobile applications. iOS for new versions defaults pictures to this file format. Therefore, many pictures taken on newer iPhones do not preview in Box.

Localize the name of "Classification" metadata template to user's language
User cannot name of "Classification" metadata template which is automatically created when the user create Classification policy. At least it should localize to Box admin's language (ex "分類" in Japanese)

Changing Name in Profile
Right now, when I went to go change my name as it's shown in Box, I received an error message that said "Your name is invalid."
Is there another prompt we can use to not allow users to change their name? How do users update so that their correct name is shown in their profile for their collaborators?

Allow Box to be used while connected to Cisco AnyConnect Secure mobility client
While connected to Cisco AnyConnect Secure mobility client you are unable to access the Box web app to download, view, or upload files. The hurdle of having to close any work you are doing which requires a VPN and then open box to download, view, or upload files meanwhile being unable to work on any VPN work items can slow down productivity.

Muito lento para atualizar os arquivos.
Muito lento, quando adiciono um arquivo demora dias para aparecer nos celulares. Sem contar que também esta demorando no retorno de arquivos procurados. Infelizmente isso atrapalha muito o aproveitamento do aplicativo, perde e muito para a concorrência.

A User activity report on folders created only
We are looking to generate a user activity report on folders created only. Currently, user activity has file management > uploaded as an option which will include files uploaded and folders created but we would just like folders created and not files uploaded.

Ability to delete expired policy
I hope to be able to delete a policy that is retired and no files are applied

Partial file writing API
I want the API feature that updates only a part of the file .
Currently, I download entire file, and then write and upload it.

dropbox style commenting
Dropbox allows you to highlight part of an image or even a time in a video and have a linked comment in the sidebar.
Box is halfway there, but this Dropbox feature is amazing for collaborating on documents as you don't have to explain in detail what part of the image/file you discussing - just highlight and comment is linked.

Copy files to Relevant Folders based on Tags or Automation Rules
We would like to setup Automation rules for folders that would COPY and not MOVE new files to designated folders.
To take the idea even further, if the COPY could be triggered by a TAG assignment, it would be even better, because some of the files in the affected folder should not be copied, while other should.

Not able to access comments bar
This is not an idea. It's a complaint.
Recently, I'm often not able to show the comments bar on the right-hand side. For example, on page X, I'm able to see the comments bar, hide it if I want, and click on the little speech bubble to show it again. Meanwhile, on page Y, there is no speech bubble, so I cannot get the comments bar to appear. This happens sporadically and usually lasts for 30 or so minutes. After going back, refreshing the page to check multiple times, it's usually resolved itself in about 30 minutes. This is incredibly…1 vote -
Dicom
Large folder has 2000 image files and 2 are corrupt. Currently the importer stalls and errors out due to the 2 corrupt files. Would it be possible to have a way to bypass this and tell the importer to go ahead and render the final study.boxdicom file WITHOUT all the files (2) being uploaded? A simply error catching sub that says – if you wait more than 30 seconds and you can’t get the last files, just go ahead and call the sub to build the final study.boxdicom file, and pop up a warning telling the user that – we…

Filter folders that user can access by Access level in the Users & Groups tab
Currently, all folders that a managed user may or may not have access to appear in the 'Edit User Access permissions' panel. There should be a filter for the Access level - so that eg. folders with Access level 'None' do not come up.

Disable Box Notes for Individuals Outside the Organization
It would be great if there were separate buttons to disable Box Notes either completely for everyone, or just for people outside of the organization. We use Box Notes internally for meeting planning, and we have this one client who uses it consistently to provide data, but we would really love it if she was prevented from doing so while those of us who work here could still use the feature for meeting prep.

Security Issue: File can be downloaded without permission

Per the "Previewer" role definition the user can not download the file, only see the preview of the file.
Actually it seems it is supereasy to download the file if you copy the url of content?preview=true....... initator pdf.min.js:631 type: fetch.I hope this helps, pls let me know if you need more deatils.

Hide comments except for poster and folder owner/s to see
Add a folder setting that allows collaborators to post comments, but these comments are only visible to the poster and the folder owner. Responses to comments from an owner should only be visible to the original poster.

Create new Box Note using boxnote.new
Similar to how other services like MS Word have word.new, it would be great to have boxnote.new to create a new Box Note from the URL

When someone update files on the box, the "edit date" has not been updated on my box system.
How should I change the setting?

There is no information from box system when someone upload files on the box.
I have been able to receive the information when I started to use this system, but suddenly, it can not work.Of course, I checked on the setting "When the files update, receive email".
