It would be REALLY great if there were a way in Box to pull up all of the files you have locked. My team shares tons of excel files all day long. If I forget to unlock a file, no one else knows if they can get in. Half the time I'm not in it but forgot to unlock it. If there were a way to pull up all files at any given time in one place that I've locked where I could unlock them from that screen if I'm no longer in them, it would save us a lot of time.

It would be really awesome to allow the box drive cache location to be placed somewhere other than C:\Users<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Box\Box\cache, say on on a separate volume that doesn't consume space on C: (boot / application drive). Ideally I would like to place it on my second ssd D:149 votes
We are looking for a table type of view of files(row) and metadata keys(column), that allows us to be able to configure their own views of data in Box.
It allows us to...
- configure the view with applying metadata templates(can select the keys to show)
- filter and sort the view
- update metadata directly from this view
- export the view of data to a csv file
This sort of solution helps users to reduce the time spent for searching the content and updating the metadata values(and it would be competitive with SharePoint library view).34 votes

Need ability to determine what folders have been shared in Box Drive without having to revert back to the Web UI to verify if Blue/Yellow/Grey etc..213 votes

When users copy / move / restore / delete a large number of items, we want them to be able to cancel if they notice a mistake along the way.
Currently, when processing a large number of items in Box, we need to wait until the process is completed even if we notice a mistake.
When processing large numbers of items, processing may require several days.
During that time, folders and files are locked.
Please make it possible to interrupt the process on the way.10 votes
Like Dropbox app, we would like a capability to move directly from Box Web to Box Drive. The usecase behind this is that we want to edit a file from Box Drive not Box Edit but want to search on Box Web.20 votes
When You create a Relay automation You only have the possibility to manager an event folder in one folder. If You need the same scenario in other folders, You have to duplicate the stream as many times You have needed folders.
The best way is to get the possibility to choose all folders You need the same event with the same scenario in one shot and not be polluted with x time the same one only because the event has to be trapped in another folder.44 votes
Thank you for your feedback! This is on our roadmap for Q3. The feature will enable you to cascade a workflow to subfolders, starting with workflows built with the Manual Start trigger. Please feel free to post additional requirements or use cases in this Pulse suggestion for us to consider. Thank you!
Users should be able to set the "Tasks" area as their Home Page.10 votes
It would be great having the option for shared links to be opened in the Windows Explorer directly (if Box Drive / Box Sync is installed). Today, when a shared link is clicked, e.g. on Slack, it opens in the web browser, adding complexity to the workflow (e.g. having to log in, limited editing functionality, etc.). Most of our team today revert to clicking the shared link just to identify the location of the file in the browser, then finding and opening the file manually on Box Drive.6 votes
Any chance that we can have some flexibility in the "Collaborator Permission Levels." Can we develop a tool to edit these levels, like check which function the user can have. Having set levels with no flexibility is difficult because every user needs different access.80 votes
I saw on the Community site that there is a 10 million item limit, but my company has way more items than that. It is important for us to have these reports for security audits.336 votes
We want to be able to filter by specific metadata template and attribute value at user activity.
By setting the metadata that means the confidential level to the folder and assigning the metadata in cascade, we can track the subsequent access status of the objects placed under the target folder.
By tracking the activity of files with specific metadata (such as sensitivity level), we can detect data usage and security issues.
By using such a method, we can detect security problems that could not be detected in the past, such as image data that is difficult to detect with DLP.6 votes
Would like a feature whereby the person submitting files using Box File Request receives an automatic confirmation email with a customizable message. For example, after the submitter uploads files using the File Request web widget, that person gets a email to the effect of, "Thank you for contacting us. A team member will review your submittal and follow up within 24 hours." The person would be required to provide an email address but not required to have a Box account. Many of our external customers send us application materials using File Request, and then they contact us separately wanting to know a) if we received the files, and b) when they will get a response.

Increase the maximum number of Shield Classifications beyond 25 so that we can classify each clients content to prevent mis-sharing
I would like to see the ability to add Shield Classifications per client - with the appropriate access policy (restricting to client email domain) we could avoid any possibility to overshare when inviting the wrong clients into a folder or sharing a shared link - There is a maximum number of classifications of 25 so could this be extended to facilitate this use case/control.20 votes
It is absolutely a valid use case. We don’t plan to leverage security classification to address it but will think about alternative solution to achieve the same purpose.
Currently, the trial mode classification and settings will disappear at the end of the trial period.
If we have a Shield contract, we would like to take over its classification and settings.
By eliminating the need to set them up again in the production environment, we can make a smooth transition.4 votes
Ability to notify specific email address after users upload file via File Request.8 votes
Thanks for your feedback, we are exploring requirements to provide a “confirmation” both for the recipient and for the submitter. In the meanwhile a user can use Relay Lite to assign a task to a particular user when a file upload comes in OR use the folder notification settings to be notified when a file upload takes place. Hope this helps!
Under the new shared links report, the spelled out folder "Path" column is no longer available. Please add this back to make it easier for admins to find content.4 votes
Under Trash, please add "folder path". If there was a bulk delete of many files in a folder, we want to confirm the file belongs in the folder path, before we restore the files.23 votes
Currently there is not way to search for a folder name offline. All you can search for is a file name. This can be problematic if you have multiple files with the same name, but just in different locations. Suggest being able to search for file name and then open file.147 votes
