Box Sign - ability to disable in-person role
Currently, malicious user will easily be able to impersonate the recipient. To prevent fraud, disabling in-person role is necessary.

Comment Reply Thread and integration with Office Comments
I have recently had to stop people from using the Box comment feature, as it was adding unnecessary tasks to my workflow, because it does not allow the author to respond to comments, and when i open a word document to edit, the comments disappear. Commenting feature needs to integrate with Office in order to be useful for reviewing MS office documents. As the author i 'must' be able to respond, and close comments, AND when i open the document for edit, i MUST be able to see the comments. The MS Office comment feature is fantastic and if Box is going to have one natively it needs to integrate with that, or be switched off for MS office documents.

Please add detailed logging for upload issues/failures
Please add logging for upload errors so admins can properly troubleshoot errors. Right now there's no information shown beyond the folder causing an upload issue and no details on why the upload failed ie: file or folder name, format, length, etc.

Box Sign - Add Notary | eNotary
Add the ability to have a document notarized. The notary needs to be invited by a signer and should include standard notary fields. Please see equivalent feature in DocuSign for reference.

Shield alert to show more than 90 days
Currently the Shield dashboard only show up to 90 days of alerts.

Drop downs to accomodate for State, Country and Currency
Retail use case where we would like to be able to apply metadata to a store such as state and country. Ideally have a drop down list of the 50 states to easily choose from and have a consistent format instead of having using type it in.

Shortcut for file locking
When you open a file and click the "Lock file to prevent others from editing it" message can we have some simple click boxes showing the lock time options rather than a drop menu, this would solve the problem where the application opens before you get chance to lock the file..

Overwrite when uploading a file with the same name in Box for iOS
If a file with the same name as a file stored in the Box is uploaded, the Web browser will overwrite the file and update the file version.
However, on iPhones and iPads, when a file with the same name is attempted to be uploaded to Box for iOS, a "name conflict" error occurs and it cannot be overwritten.Currently, 4,000 employees on site are provided with iPads to manage drawings and report forms in Box.
It is possible to add notes on the Box preview screen. However, since the added notes are lost when printed or downloaded, we would like to add them using the drawing function on the device side, then upload them to Box, update the file, and manage the version.
It is very inconvenient that a file with the same name cannot be overwritten when uploaded, and we would like to see this improved.(Japanese)

Boxに保存されているファイルと同名のファイルをアップロードした場合、Webブラウザだと上書きの動作となりファイルのバージョンが更新されます。
しかしiPhoneやiPadに保存されている同名ファイルをBox for iOSにアップロードすると、「名前の競合」のエラーが発生し上書きすることができません。現在、現場では4000人の従業員にiPadを支給して図面や報告帳票をBoxで管理しています。
Boxのプレビュー画面でメモを追記することは可能ですが、印刷やダウンロードしたときに消えてしまうため
端末側の描画機能を用いて追記したうえでBoxにアップロードし、ファイルを更新、バージョン管理したいと考えています。

Microsoft auto-save to Box for Mac users
For Mac users, it would be great if Box can be integrated as a storage location within Microsoft applications (eg. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.). For Mac users, the auto-save slider in Microsoft Apps is disabled because the Box storage location is not specified. Please find a solution.

When loading PowerPoint or Word into Box Sign, the aspect ratio may be changed and converted to PDF.

If you use this as is, files with numbers such as "(1)" in the template file name will be mass-produced, and visibility will be poor.I would like to be able to copy the template file to a temporary folder before "sending a request" and be able to change the file name.

このまま使用すると、テンプレートファイルの名称に「(1)」などの番号が付いたファイルが量産されることになってしまい、視認性がよくありません。「リクエストの送信」前にはテンプレートファイルをテンポラリフォルダにコピーしする流れにして、ファイル名の変更ができるようにして欲しいです。

Bandwidht monitor and reports
As there is this mostly new policy in regards of the bandwidth limit per user (1 Tb), which in case of any user using more than the limit will automatically closes the account (loosing all the information), I suggest the creation of a command which allows the admin to monitor very clear the bandwidth usage, so measures can be taken if the limit is being reached.

BoxDrive behavior of files with the “Browser Use Only” classification label
We are considering setting up a "Browser Only" classification label for collaborative editing of Office applications to enforce download restrictions so that collaborative editing is only possible in the browser.
However, when a user tries to open a file with the "Browser Only" label, the viewer and previewer will not be able to open the file because of the download restriction.
Also, when opening BoxNote from BoxDrive, you will be redirected to the browser, but Office files must be opened by right-clicking on Box.com and previewing them, and when editing, you must perform online editing.(1) The basic specification of BoxDrive is that the existence of the contents in the invited folder itself is visible, but when you try to open it, if you do not have download privileges, you cannot download the cached data and cannot open it (editing or even previewing is not possible), but if you do not have download privileges, you can open the cached data in the browser. If you have the preview authority, can you take action such as automatically transitioning to the browser to preview the data?
If it is difficult to change (1), could you add a function to filter files that cannot be opened from Box Drive (according to conditions such as permissions, labels, etc.)? We are concerned that this will cause confusion among users, lower utilization rates, and unnecessary inquiries, which will lower the efficiency of the entire organization.
Officeアプリを共同編集するために、「ブラウザーのみ利用」の分類ラベルを設定し、ダウンロード制限をかけブラウザでのみ共同編集できるように強制する運用を検討しております。
しかし、「ブラウザーのみ利用」のラベルが対がファイルをで開こうとした場合、ダウンロード制限がかかっているためビューアやプレビューアが開くことができない挙動となってしまいます。
また、BoxDriveからBoxNoteを開くときにはブラウザに遷移いたしますが、Officeファイルは右クリック＞Box.comで開き、プレビューを行い、編集時はOnline編集を実施する必要があります。①BoxDriveの基本仕様として、招待されたフォルダ内のコンテンツの存在自体は見えるのに、いざ開こうとした際に、ダウンロード権限がないとキャッシュデータをダウンロードできず開けない(編集はおろかプレビューすら出来ない)状態ですが、ダウンロード権限がなくともプレビュー権限があるのであれば、ブラウザへ自動遷移してプレビューさせるなりの対応いただけないでしょうか。

Using Box with FTPS and MFA
We would like to use automated scripts to upload files to Box using FTPS. We would also like MFA enabled for our internal users. Box has advised that:
1. They do not provide service accounts to facilitate this
2. They do not allow per-user control over MFA settings
3. The process to login when MFA is enabled is manual and cannot be automated.
4. FTPS only works with SMS MFAWe would like the following product enhancements:
1. Automated MFA Support: The ability for automated scripts to interact with MFA, perhaps through a secure token-based system or service account that doesn't compromise security but allows for the necessary automation.
2. User-Specific MFA Settings: The capability to enforce MFA selectively for certain users or groups, allowing for automated scripts to run under specific, controlled conditions.We believe these features would benefit many of your clients who require both stringent security measures and efficient automated processes.

Enable AutoCAD Drawing History Comparison
Our company is considering moving our AutoCAD files over to Box.com. We put some files on Box as a test run and AutoCAD's Drawing History feature allows us to see the version history of those files. However, there is a tool that is supposed to allow for you to click on that list of past versions and compare one to another but that feature isn't working currently, even though it works on other cloud services like one drive. AutoCAD said its on Box's end since it worked with other cloud services, but Box said they can't guarantee this feature would work and basically just put their hands in the air. Please consider reviewing this and seeing what can be done to address this missing functionality. There are so many benefits that could be had by us putting our CAD on Box, but we keep running into limitations from Box that is holding us back from making that transition.

Box Shuttle - OneDrive Multi-geo Tenants
Having the ability to migrate data from MS OneDrive within a multi-Geo tenancy. Shuttle engineering team have confirmed and stated the Shuttle migration tool does not support Multi-geo tenants.

Provide notification when auto-provisioning of user accounts fails because a Box account already exists.
We use auto-provisioning to create Box accounts in our Box managed enterprise environment. When a user is added to a specific group in Azure AD, this kicks off something that creates the account in our Box environment. However, it is possible that users have an existing lite Box account from former roles. When this happens the auto provisioning fails without warning due to a duplicate account. We would like to be notified when this happens. We can see the error in the Azure logs but those are not easy to use for alerting due to sheer size and think this woudl be much easier coming from the Box side.

Error notification about Relay Workflow
Currently there is no way to know whether the relay workflow has failed or not.
So when there is an error in a workflow, I would like to have admins and or the workflow owners to receive a notification to inform about the error.85 votesHello all,

On Mac, Box Drive has problems opening files after install of Box Tools
I use Box Drive on my Mac. Ever since installing Box Tools, I am having problems opening files. In particular, after a file was recently opened, changed, and closed, the file seems to get "stuck" syncing back to Box. It freezes up and will no longer re-open or finish uploading unless I fully quit Box Drive and restart it. This happens even if I tell it to refresh the folder or wait for an extensive period of time.
I'm not sure why there is no better way to report a bug, but my "idea" is for this bug to please be fixed :)
