Relay: Involve external Users to a manual workflow as "not-owner" of the folder/file
Hi,
i discribe a situation:
The Admin is the owner of all folders/files, directors has co-owner-rights and all employees are editors. It is similarly discribed in "Folder Structure Best Practices" under "Business Unit Drive"
Now we invite some external users... not only the owner can invite them.
Then we create some relays for specific folder, especially some manual ones, assign a task and set the Assignee to "Specify at startup"...not only the owner can do this.
Last but not least we start the manual workflow and choose as Assignee an external user... but wait...ONLY the owner of the folder (1 person, here the admin) can do this. This can't be expected behavior.
We have over 1500 external users... this is not practical.
If we have a folder with invited external users, at least all internal users who start the manual workflow should be able to include these external users.
Previously recommended workaround:
If you are an non-owner of a file/folder and want to add an external user to a manual workflow, create a separate parent folder and invite the external user.
Now you can also include these external user in manual workflows. So to be on the safe side, 1000 internal users are now inviting 1000 external users to one of their folders so that the manual workflows can be used. The external partners will understand, there are only 1000 new folders in their box homepage.
Luckily our admin is not the owner of ALL folders, but the annoyance is big enough.
In my opinion, giving co-owners these rights as well would be the bare minimum.
Because so our employees have sick/holiday cover, but not in Box.Regards,
Michael

Accuracy of recognizing flicks and swipes in mobile previews
For example, when previewing an Excel sheet with large rows and columns, the Box mobile app preview may mistake the user's swipe for a flick and terminate the preview.
We feel this happens more frequently than in the native Office mobile app.
Please improve it to detect the difference between a swipe and a flick a little more accurately.2 votes -
2MFA Exempt
Allow co-admins to "exempt" users from 2FA - having it solely with primary owner is not practical

Allow co-admin to manage 2FA
Allow co-admins to "exempt" users from 2FA. Once 2FA is required by the company, only the primary admin can let users who delete their Authentication app, back into Box.

Hide Apps Link from Blue Left Menu
Our organization is using Box to store controlled information so to best control the sharing of our documents we are only enabling a very limited number of 3rd party app integrations. We have disabled most of the apps via Enterprise settings. However users still can see the Apps menu and we are receiving a lot of negative feedback related to integrations available that as an Enterprise we will not enable. Is it possible to hide the "Apps" in the Blue left menu for non-admin users via group or other action?

Easier access to Box.com versus local box folder from the box menu
I use a mac. To go to a folder, I can click the box icon on my menu bar and there is the folder icon. But, to go to box notes (very popular with my team) or box.com, I must click down into the box settings. Please bring box.com up to the level of the box folder in your menu.

Hide "editable" so it's not accidentally selected
A feature that allows editing from a shared link has been released.
At the time of release, the settings are released as "View and Download and Editable" according to the Box Note settings.
After the release, the setting was changed to "View and Download Available" in the tenant settings.
Editable" is now displayed when attempting to configure shared links in a tenant environment after settings have been made.We would like it to take over the settings when they are not editable and hide the "editable" setting so that it is not accidentally selected.

Viewing and Downloading EPUB files
As outlined in Case # 2783413
We were unable to share an link to an EPUB which had watermarking embedded in the file.
Workarounds included zipping up the EPUB first.
It would be wonderful to get full EPUB support where you can view the EPUB (ie see the cover image, and even the contents of the EPUB book and allow anyone with the link to download the file.As was discovered in the case mentioned above, it turns out some EPUBs can at least be downloaded if they didn't contain watermarking. Publishers put in watermarking so removing these is not possible. Box should allow anyone with the link as your own U.I. suggests can download the file.

UX switching 2FA method
Changing 2FA method requires removing first. This breaks existing shared feeds for others and is alarming.
The way you need to re-accept then go back and forth between pages refreshing each time before it shows as re-established is far from "Simple" or intuitive.1 vote -

We need a signature on our Terms of Service. It'd be great if Box Sign could be utilized on the TOS so that our users can draw their signature for it to please our oversight.

Ability to set an optional time for lock files .
I want to set the lock time to any desired time, not preset such as 5 minutes or 15 minutes.

Folder setting: enable/disable file request
Feature that allow owner/co-owner of folders to enable or disable file request in the folder setting.
Currently, users can generate file request link in any folders with editor permissions. Some enterprise want to control (disable) usage of file request at the top-level folders depending on intended use.
e.g. disable file request link in [internal-only] folder.3 votes
