Ability to search box note’s content
Box notes are currently only searchable by the title of the note. We’d like to be able to search the content of the notes in addition to the titles.

Add simple editing functionality for videos in Box (e.g. trim or stitch)
Add simple editing functionality for videos in Box (e.g. trim or stitch).
We take a lot of videos. Mostly from Zoom. Sometimes 8 hour learning sessions. Simple stitching or trimming would be valuable. Dropbox has this.

Request for improvement of mail upload function
I found a problem with the current mail upload function, so I would like Box to improve it.
[Request (1): Adding Management Console and Folder Settings]
Users with Editor permission can change the settings of the folder's mail upload function.
However, I would like to add the ability to restrict this permission to owners and co-owners to the administrative console and the settings for each folder.[Request (2) Timing for saving the settings of the mail upload function]
If you click "Allow uploads to this folder via email" about the mail upload function of the folder, the URL for the mail upload will be issued immediately and the setting will be saved, but if you make an operation by mistake, you cannot return to the original URL, so I would like you to improve it as follows.Working with the Mail Upload Feature in Current Folder Settings
① Click "Allow uploads to this folder via email" in the folder setting.
② A URL is issued for mail upload.
③ It is applied immediately without pressing "Save Changes" in the upper right of the screen.Working with the Mail Upload Feature in Improved Folder Settings
① Click "Allow uploads to this folder via email" in the folder setting.
② A URL is issued for mail upload.
③ This setting is not applied immediately and is saved when you click "Save Changes" in the upper right corner of the screen. A user who performs an operation by mistake can prevent the setting from being changed by not saving the setting change of the folder.[Request (3) Checking the change history of the mail upload function]
I would like you to provide me with a way to check the log (who made what changes and when) when users change their mail upload settings for a specific folder. I can't find out who changed my mail upload settings at this time.[Request (4) Behavior when sending mail to a non-existent mail upload URL]
If the user accidentally changes the URL for the mail upload, the previous URL is invalidated. If you send the mail upload function using the previous URL, the following mail will be sent from Box.Subject:
Unable to process mail requestArticles:
Your attempt to email file (s) into 'a folder' was not successful. From this email, the user knows that the upload failed but does not know to which folder the upload failed. By including the information about the folder in this mail, the user can know which folder the mail upload failed, so please add that information.
[Background to the Request for Improvement]
・Users upload faxes that arrive at the multifunction device as e-mail attachments to the fax folder of Box using the mail upload function.
・Since each user has to move or delete the uploaded files, the user who collaborated with Box's fax folder has been granted the rights of an editor.
・Each user is optionally configured to receive an email notification when a file is uploaded to the Box fax folder.By performing the above setting, the paper ejection of the fax is eliminated, and the PDF is directly ejected into the Box and the reception notification is received. Fax reception can be confirmed even on different floors and when teleworking, so printing costs are not incurred, loss is prevented, and there is no need to scan later.
However, a user with Editor rights accidentally clicked "Allow uploads to this folder via email" in the folder settings and reissued the URL for the mail upload.
As a result, files uploaded to the previous URL were lost. In addition, since it was not possible to check which folder and when the setting was changed in the report, etc., it took a lot of effort to identify the folder. This is how the request for improvement came about. We are currently taking measures by increasing backup methods.
Please consider it in order to make it simple and safe.

Ability to update the "Learn More" Classification Link
Box customers would like the ability to update the “Learn more” URL to a customer specific Classification Policy URL.They want to add the URL to their own Data Classification Policy that users can access as a reference. The URL that the customer would like to add is specific to the Data Classification Policy and not intended for Help or support URL to contact. They would like users to be able to refer to the policy for more information. Specifically, replace the “Learn more” URL which has nothing to do with data classification (the URL is about Box community). The admins would like the ability to update the “Learn More” link for Classifications to point to something more useful (e.g. Customer Data Classification Policy).

Secure open link - Domain white list for open shared link
This request is an idea that will become possible after the following requests are realized.
Secure open link① - Require email address verification with one-time password
https://pulse.box.com/forums/909778-help-shape-the-future-of-box/suggestions/43755942-secure-open-link-require-email-address-verifica【Summary】
Please add "Allow only email addresses from specific domains to receive one-time passwords" to the Open Link settings.
This will make it possible to prevent secondary distribution and miscommunication, which is a huge issue for Open Link.【Issues to be solved】
Current Open Link is not secure enough as an alternative to attachments.
Compared to attachments, the ability to determine the information of the access source and the ability to block access after transmission are powerful.
However, it is impossible to prevent information leaks due to secondary distribution or misdirection, and a means to do so is needed.
In such cases, we know that invitations are the best option, but in many cases, due to the requirements of the business partners, the users cannot ask them to obtain Box accounts.Current open-link passwords do not protect against misdirection and route eavesdropping, as they are mostly sent to the same destination via the same route as the link.
Also, since the password is fixed, it is not a countermeasure against secondary distribution.【Idea Details】
First, when issuing an open link, allow the user to select "Require email address verification via one-time password".
(Request here:)
Then, add "Allow only email addresses from specific domains to receive one-time passwords" to the settings section. If this setting is enabled, the following actions will be taken even if the accessing user is not logged in to Box.
(1) The user will be asked to enter your email address.
However, email addresses from domains other than the specified one cannot be entered.
(2) If the user enter the address of the specified domain, he/she will receive a one-time password.
(3) The user will be asked to enter his/her one-time password.
(4) When the correct one-time password is entered, the open link will be opened.
(5)The email address entered here will be displayed in the file access history. This request is an idea that will become possible after the following requests are realized.

Expired Shared Link Notification to Owner
Today, if I click on an expired shared link I cannot access the file. Ideally, I'd like the content owner to be notified if I click on the expired shared link so that they know that I'm trying to access it/can make it available to me.

Box notes should have variable width
Box notes look silly when shared on a widescreen. Tables all scrunched into imaginary paper proportions. You should offer an option to dynamically widen the box note (and its contents) as the window widens.

Notify user on corrupt file upload
We should be able to notify a user when the file he just uploaded is detected by shield as corrupted.
The notification could be sent by mail or by notification on the website, depending on the configuration given by the user. This feature is relly important on a legal base, because each user should have the ability to correct his own mistake.

Folder of aliases to Box files for sharing
In order to supply a group of files to a collaborator such as an outside contractor, one must copy existing files into a new folder. We need a way to gather the ALIAS /SHORTCUT to multiple files that can be placed in a single shared folder.

Groups - Show the full Group name when editing Members and Shared Folders
When editing Members or Shared Folders for a group, the breadcrumbs at the top show "Group > [Group Name] > Edit Users/Edit Shared Folders". The Group Name is truncated so you can't read the whole name, and there's no mouse-over help text either. Seems like it'd be a pretty simple fix to adjust the font size or rearrange the layout slightly to show the whole group name.

Require approval when sharing content with a business justification
Current access policy allows for external collaboration with a valid business justification, but we would also like to have the admin or folder owner approve the request to share externally, before the collaboration is sent. The current design doesn't allow for any validation and could potentially lead to content being shared with a restricted audience. Once the exception is approved, the collaboration could be set.

Comment Replies and Thumbs Up/Down
It would be great to give a comment a thumbs up or down and be able to reply directly to someone's comment (ideally showing it indented under the person's comment, not at the bottom of the Activity/comment sidebar). This would help collaboration!

Enable option for Box Relay to trigger a contract for e-signature AFTER approval.
E.g. after Legal redlines and approves a contract, then they have the option to: (1) whoever approved the task then signs the contract as part of the same workflow; (2) submit for esignature to whoever triggered the workflow; (3) customize who the contract is redirected to for esignature (e.g. to XXX@YYY.com).

Enable ability to require that someone shares their email when depositing a File Request
Enable ability to require that someone shares their email when depositing a File Request.
Today, I can only require someone to login to their Box account OR use a text field that says email, but I want a field SPECIFICALLY called email inside of File Request, so that I can trigger a Box Relay workflow to notify the email of whoever triggered the workflow (e.g. if a submission is denied, I want to notify them that it was denied and to include why........ if a submission was approved, I want to notify them that it was approved and to include why).

Enable ability to permanently delete a Box Governance policy
Enable ability to permanently delete a Box Governance policy.
I created some test policies and want to clean up my Box Governance user interface, but I can't do so because it's impossible to permanently delete a Box Governance policy.
Also, I have policies that require a specific nomenclature, but I can't use that same nomenclature because a previous policy shares the same nomenclature, and I can't permanently delete the previous policy.
