Box drive should only show and sync the selected folder and left the unselected online only
Box drive now allows you to hide folder. Be frankly this is useless. Because for most the IT users, we normally enabe showing hidden folder/files option in Windows explorer. So for more prefessional usage, the Box Drive should only show and sync the selected folders. The folders not selected should be left alone online.
One example, I have a box drive hosting many folders. Each folder hosting one project. The projects could be from different client. When I work with client A, I only want client A project folder to be sync and shown on my desktop. But now the other project folders are also included in the sync set. Even it is hidden but as said as long as you enable showing hiddeng folder/file option, you can still see, more importantly access those folders and files. This leads to potencial data leak.
The Box Drive is a good product but clearly it is not ready to be an enterprise or professional solution like Microsoft One Drive.Box drive now allows you to hide folder. Be frankly this is useless. Security Control - Download and Print Restriction, possibility for Owners/Co-owners and Editors exceptions
Security Control - Download and Print Restriction, possibility for Owners/Co-owners and Editors to be excluded from this restriction.
Currently, for managed users it's possible to restrict all users except Owners/Co-owners and Editors.

Convert Box Drive File to Box Link when Emailing Copy of File
We use Box to store company documents, and most people prefer to work with the Box files natively on Windows via Box Drive. The issue is when someone wants to circulate a copy of a file stored on box. The standard practice is to drag a copy of the document from Windows Explorer to an Outlook email. This results in a copy of the document, so future collaborators are not editing the Box document, but rather a copy.
This is a common feature in most established DMS products, where the user is asked if they want to upload the actual file or instead, a link to the file so that when the recipient opens the attachment, they are directed to the file on the server, not the copy of the document in the email.

Request new report by file extension
While you can check rough file types from the storage in admin insights, there are many situations in operations where you need to understand capacity and file counts at the extension level. I would like to request a report that can show file sizes by extension. I also want it to support filtering by owner.

Add per-role cap for external collaborator invitations at the enterprise and group level
Proposed solution
Add a Maximum External Collaboration Role setting in Admin Console > Enterprise Settings > Content & Sharing that:-Caps the highest role a managed user can grant to external collaborators(or internal as well).
-Removes higher roles from the invite dropdown so the limit is visible at the point of action.
-Applies globally with optional overrides per group, per user, and per folder (respecting "most restrictive wins").Why it matters
This separates "can invite" from "what they can grant", a standard pattern in enterprise content platforms and a common ask from security and compliance teams. Letting admins enable broad self-service external collaboration without the risk of over-permissioning.This would significantly reduce our administrative overhead by letting us define sharing policies up front, so end users can collaborate externally on their own without waiting on helpdesk tickets to provision access.

Add ability to add a custom image for the banner on File Request pages like is available on Box Hubs
Please add the ability to upload a custom image for the banner on File Request pages just as you do on Hubs. This would solve for the issue of the tiny logo area available for File Request pages and would also allow for a more seamless transition on different pages in Box (Hubs and File Requests for example)

Re-add capability to get more custom colors (including Hex Value) for File Request page banner
Very recently a customization was removed from Box File Request theme settings that our managed users (about 3700 currently) used to use frequently. This was the ability to choose from the whole spectrum of colors (getting as specific as Hex Value) for the banner on File Request pages.
Our users own their own businesses, and the current selection of colors sometimes does not always correspond well to the logo image that they have uploaded. This makes the page not look professional and lowers the validity of our users' businesses. Please re-add this capability soon!1 vote -
About the graphing function in Apps
I would like to be able to customize the colors of the graphs in the Box Apps.

Adding additional functionality to Forms, including tables.
Adding more functionality to Forms to bring it up to par with other Forms solutions. Adding things like the ability to include tables, dividers and text that doesn't require an input, such as instructions. Also, APIs would be super useful.

Change default sidebar view
Since BoxAI was released, when previewing a document from the Box Web the sidebar defaults to BoxAI. I would like the ability in my settings to pick what sidebar page presents as default. Further, it would be great to pick if the document preview opens with the sidebar opened or collapsed.

I would like the display position of the "Hide this folder" menu on BoxDrive to be changed.
The "Hide this folder" feature has been made possible on BoxDrive, but cases of accidental folder hiding due to misoperation have been occurring. We believe one of the reasons is that it is located among frequently used menus like "Share" and "Update folder."
We hope for an improvement in changing the display position of the "Hide this folder" menu. Alternatively, it would be great if we could have a setting option to disable the "Hide this folder" menu altogether.

We want to change the owner of a file in the trash
There is some content that we do not want to completely erase, but we would like to change the owner due to capacity issues.

Admin Console - Pending Users
It would be nice if we there was a tab that showed Pending Collaborations and a way to filter by email address. We recently had the need to remove five email addresses from all folders they were invited to, but we had to choose to either traverse hundreds of folders or delete the main folders that we knew they were in.
Additionally, this could also be something offered via the API, perhaps the request can require the user email address and what collaboration state(s) you want returned. That way we could have easily specified an email address and pending, received the collaboration invite ID and then ran the Delete Collaboration API call with that.

Box Collaboration Invite Reminder Emails - Send a single digest instead of one email per pending invite
It would be ideal if collaboration reminder emails would be served as a digest instead of a separate email per pending invite. We just migrated quite a lot of content/folders to Box and some of our external users received multiple reminder emails, flooding their mailboxes.

clear notifications
We need a notifications dashboard, similar to the task dashboard, where we can select all and mark complete. PLEASE!!! I have a ton of notifications that I've addressed but are still showing up in my "notifications" alert. I don't have time to go through them one-by-one to close them out. Please address issue ASAP.

Add Support for Surrogate Pair Characters (e.g. Emojis, Supplementary Kanji)
Currently, Box has limitations in handling surrogate pair characters (such as certain emojis or supplementary Kanji) in file names and metadata.
Other major services like Microsoft 365 already support these characters, and we would like to request similar support in Box.
Enabling surrogate character support would significantly improve internationalization and user experience for customers working with multilingual or symbol-rich content.17 votes -
Allow forms to be saved for later completion
It would be helpful to have a way for someone to begin a Box Form, and if needed, save their responses for later completion. This will help in cases with more complex data collection, and could potentially allow for things like people recalling their form submissions or making edits once their form was completed as needed.
