14. Additional permission options for files

    Hello:

    The documentation for Collaborator Permission Levels at https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196413-Understanding-Collaborator-Permission-Levels is very substantially incorrect. At the start of that article it says (capitalization mine):

    "When inviting a person as a collaborator within a folder OR FILE, or sending a shared link, you have the ability to set the level of access that person has to your content. Refer to the following chart to review the different permissions that accompany each permission level:"

    This is completely incorrect--the permissions in that article only refer to permissions for folders, not files. Files only get "Viewer" or "Editor" permissions.

    Ideally it would be nice if there were the additional options for files--especially "Previewer"--but in the short term, might it at least be possible to get the documentation updated so that it's not so deceptive/confusing?

15. need a setting to disable Recents Carousel

    The new Recents Carousel (https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052427834-New-Recents-Carousel-experience) shows thumbnails of sensitive files, exposing them to others when using box in an environment where other people can view the computer screen, and hiding the Recents section is only temporary for the current section, and will show again next time I log in. Suggestion: make a setting in Account Settings to turn off the Recents Carousel.

    We want to be able to filter by specific metadata template and attribute value at user activity.

    By setting the metadata that means the confidential level to the folder and assigning the metadata in cascade, we can track the subsequent access status of the objects placed under the target folder.
    By tracking the activity of files with specific metadata (such as sensitivity level), we can detect data usage and security issues.
    By using such a method, we can detect security problems that could not be detected in the past, such as image data that is difficult to detect with DLP.

18. Allow Web-Sorting by Author’s Last Date Modified

    Ours are legal documents and their Last Date Modified (by us, or by an author. NOT the date uploaded to Box) is a critical date. Some dates are many years old, created long before being uploaded to Box.

    It's used in locating a single file among thousands. Do you seriously propose that our collaborators open the Properties of each file (among many hundreds) to see the Properties of each so as to locate the one file they need? What a terrible waste of Users’ time.

    The date we moved a paper file from one office desk or filing drawer (or MOVED a digital file in cloud storage) to another office desk or filing drawer (or cloud storage) is an utterly irrelevant date.

    It's the Last Date Modified ("updated") by the author that matters. That date ("updated”) needs to be available to our Collaborators in web-access.

    A simple web-configuration capability would be helpful. Allow any metadata to be the selected Sort column, please.

20. Eliminate "We’ve Sent You a Confirmation Email" page for provisioned accounts

    We feel that showing "We’ve Sent You a Confirmation Email" page is not appropriate page for provisioned account's
    that are manually created in Admin Console or that are auto provisioned from AD.
    If Admin create new accounts with Silent mode, the confirmation email is not sent.
    Therefor user needs to create password on "Reset password" page manually. This is OK.
    After creating the password and try to login with the created password, "We’ve Sent You a Confirmation Email" page
    is displayed. But confirmation email is not sent. The user needs to click "Resend Confirmation Email" to receive "Please complete your Box signup
    ". In the first place, if an "enterprise" account is created by an administrator or auto provisioned though Azure,
    a confirmation email doesn't seem necessary. We understand the need for a confirmation email when it comes to an individual user signing up.
    However, for "enterprise" accounts, this step should be removed or should show more meaningful guide page like "Welcome to Box!" or "Get started on Box"
