Make web app uploader better at handling file changes.
I just uploaded a bunch of photos and realized a couple of them were the wrong rotation, so I corrected that while the upload continued.
When I checked the files on box, I found that every one of the files I had just uploaded had gone to version 2, even though they were new to box, and I only changed 2 of the 12 files. Indeed, due to the timing, one of the photos that I rotated was still the wrong way round, even though it had gone to version 2.
It seemed like box attempted a naive sync of the entire upload set, detected that some files had changed, so decided to upload them all again (though I can't confirm whether they were actually uploaded again, or whether some other process made the new version - I wasn't looking that closely).
There's no obvious concept of group consistency, so each file should be treated individually in respect of changes. I don't expect box to automatically create a new version of a file when there is no difference to store (if a user uploads the same file twice, maybe that would be okay, or something to confirm with the user, but box should not do it itself).
I also had one occasion where the uploader stalled when I renamed a folder that was being uploaded - files in the folder that was renamed were stuck at 0% in the uploader and each one had to be cancelled individually. Assuming the uploaded cannot spot the name change, perhaps the uploaded could detect that the file/folder is no longer present, and present it as a failed upload, or retain folder structure in the uploader, so it's possible to cancel upload of the folder and its contents in one click.

Don't have incidence on rights in a tree when rights are updated in sub-folders
When You put rights on a root folder, if You need to change the rights for an user in sub-folder, the impact is on the whole tree and this is not really cool... The best way is to keep the rights functionality but to forget the incidence when You change rights on sub-folders.
It's very important !2 votes -
MFOffline/MFOnline multiple folders at once
I'm dealing with tons of folders so it would be great to have this option. Need the ability to select multiple folders and mark them all at once.

Show icon in Drive for parent folders when sub-folders are marked for offline
Currently, users are easily able to manage the hard drive space being used by BOX by simply checking into their sync folder and deciding then what they may prioritize as necessary to sync or un-sync at a quick glance. Even in the instances where there are multiple folders and sub-folders included, it’s a clear representation of what’s being synced at the time.
These same users currently sync A LOT of files within a fairly deep folder structure, so not having an insight into which folders are taking up space only leaves a user to chicken peck around in the hopes of finding which folders are available offline or not…..or, they’re only other option is to log out, losing all offline files and start again.

Training - User Essentials Class 3.1
Your self-paced 'User Essentials Class 3.1' does not set itself to 'Complete' when the class is finished. It never shows up as a completed class in one's transcript. At the end, there is a 'Next' button that, when clicked, does nothing. It does not advance anywhere, so the class never 'completes'. Please fix this.

tracking file activity by user
Is there a way to schedule the user activity report (so we didn't have to wait for it to run)? It took our IT team 30+ minutes to run this for a report from just two weeks.
Alternatively, are you able to improve your Microsoft Flow connector, so that we could be notified in Microsoft Teams whenever a file is previewed or downloaded; right now the connector that Box wrote for Microsoft Flow only supports the following triggers:
- When a file is created
- When a file is modified1 vote -
Support frame-by-frame video preview
I am shocked that Box doesn’t allow frame by frame movement through web viewing. This is something that should be addressed as a priority. I won’t be subscribing to Box until this is an available function. This is so necessary in the television industry without downloading.

When a reset password link is requested, check your internal block list and remove the email address if necessary.
Often we deal with users email addresses getting placed on Box's internal block list. Then a user might request a new password, but the email will never come in. In that scenario, if a user has requested a password reset email, you should check your block list for that user's email address and remove it if necessary.

Maximum access rights for external users
We need the ability to restrict external users to a specific permission level or below. I’m proposing an enterprise setting like “Maximum access rights for external users.”

Make DocuSign Required Envelope Fields show in the Box Integration
We currently have fields that are required on every envelope for our DocuSign account (Envelope Custom Fields). These fields are not available to enter data (in our case, it is a pull down list) in the Box Integration. Therefore, envelopes created through the Box integration do not have these fields.
We can get the fields on the envelope via applying a template that includes the fields. However, we would like to see the fields without using a template.6 votesHello, please reach out to the Docusign team with this feedback, as they own and maintain this integration.

Import data already on Box into DICOM viewer
The only way to import images into the DICOM viewer right now is to upload directly using the import tool. This is problematic for two reasons: 1. large sets of data are handled better through Drive or Sync than a web interface and 2. data already in Box need to be downloaded and then imported (uploaded) again using the import tool, which is not practical when working with 10s-100s of GB of DICOM data. There should be a mechanism to import data already stored on Box into the DICOM viewer.
This may be similar to a different issue: https://pulse.box.com/forums/909778-help-shape-the-future-of-box/suggestions/36114310-direct-dicom-upload-endpoint-desired

Prevent moving sub-folders
Create a folder permission setting where collaborators can edit a file but not move the sub-folder where the file resides.
Another way of saying this:
Would like a folder setting which does not allow sub-folders to be moved but allows editing of files.9 votes -
Add ability to batch rename multiple files
I'd like to be able to select all contents of a folder (ex. images taken by a particular photographer at an event) and standardize all file names (ex. EventPhotographer Name (1), EventPhotographer Name (2),...)
This is simple to do in Windows Explorer, but I really do not want to download and then re-upload for something so minor!4 votes -
