We would like the ability to hide the “Download Report” button in Folder Insights.
Folder Insight reports can be output by specifying a folder of which you are the owner.
If you are using a closed folder tenant, the owners of managed folders are only users with administrator privileges, and end users do not own folders, so even co-owners cannot output folder insight reports.
If you actually specify a folder with permissions below that of the co-owner and output it, you will get an “Insufficient permissions to create report folder” error.
We would like to see this feature implemented to prevent such errors and confusion.

View suppression list
I should be able to view emails on my suppression list. I appreciate the ability to remove addresses from it myself, but not being able to see which email addresses you are blocking creates situations wherein I do not know someone isn't getting mail until after they have missed at least one message.

Box Shield: Suspicious Location Alerts - Add details about content within 'User Activities'
As part of triage for Box Shield Suspicious Location alerts, it would be beneficial to have details added about the content which shows up in 'User Activities'.
For example:
- The User ID/Email of the user who owns the folder/file interacted with
- The File/Folder ID interacted with
- Links to the Files, or their listings within Admin Console Content Manager, when hovering over their names. Also, being able to export this information would be beneficial.

Allow Folder Insights Reporting to download into a co-owned destination folder
Currently you can only successfully download content/folder insight reporting into a destination folder that you yourself own. I would like to change this so that users can also be a co-owner on the folder to download insight reporting to.

Ready-Sign Links Start & End Dates/Times
Would it be possible to add Start & End Dates/Times for Ready-Sign Links in the Link Settings? Our HR Dept. has a few templates that are only active during certain date/time ranges during the year, and they have requested the ability to set them up so that the link automatically actives and deactivates at certain times.

Add a parameter for Box Sign API to keep existing fields when using Box sign template
[Background]
We'd like to use Box Sign API to create a signature request by Sign template.
We want to use the existing template and replace the file to another file, but if we do so by Box API, the existing signature fields would disappear.
*This happens because there are no parameter in Box Sign API corresponding to "Keep Existing Fields" at Box Web.[Request]
Please add a parameter to keep existing fields for Box Sign API when using an existing Box sign template.
*We think it's strange that what user can do in Box web is not possible with Box Sign API.[Background]

Improve visibility and speed of LFOs within Box
I’d like to share some feedback about the lack of visibility and the slow speed of Large File Operations (LFOs) in Box, particularly when moving large folders or performing ownership changes.
These actions cause unavoidable downtime, but there’s no clear timeframe provided, and all items under the affected folders become inaccessible until the process finishes. This is creating significant headaches for our IT operations, especially as we’re working through major corporate restructuring. We’re forced to schedule these migrations on weekends to minimize disruption and open support tickets as a safety net in case the operations extend into the workweek and require follow-up.
It feels like much of this pain could be avoided with improvements to how Box handles backend database updates and by providing better progress tracking and time estimates for LFOs. More transparency and predictability would make a huge difference for teams managing large-scale changes.
Thanks for considering this feedback.

Request for Improvement of the slider for grid view image size
Currently, we can adjust the image size in grid view by moving the slider left and right. However, even when selecting the minimum size, the images still remain large.
We can make images smaller by changing the browser's zoom level, but this also makes text smaller, and subsequent screens remain small as well, which is inconvenient.
Rather than relying on browser zoom, we need to enhance Box's slider functionality. In Japanese:
3 votes -
Disable all notifications for an integration/custom app
Rather than having to disable notifications by passing the specific header, we would like to disable notifications for an application completely by using a toggle or application scope.

Allow Device Trust full disk encryption to specify software encryption (ie. FileVault)
Presently, when creating a Device Trust Policy that requires full disk encryption for Mac, there is no option to require FileVault as an additional requirement for full disk encryption. As a result, existing hardware encryption using Apple Silicon or a T2 chip satisfies the encryption requirement. It would be helpful to add this functionality so we can enforce FileVault as part of our device trust requirements.

API Endpoint to Customize Collaboration Invitation Email
Currently, when sending collaboration invites via the API you are unable to customize the message. For collaborators that do not have a Box account, it leads to the invitation message showing:
"" - FirstName Last Name
This is unprofessional and often confusing to the individuals receiving the invitation.

Add native file support for .sas file type
please add support for .sas file types. SAS files cannot be previewed, cannot be content searched, and they do not show in the Search results at all due to being an unsupported file type. We have thousands of .sas files stored in Box; being able to locate them via the Box Search tool would remove a pain point for many of our staff.

Please make it so Box AI can compare the pixel differences between images.
We use Adobe Workfront to help tell any slight pixel differences between two seemingly identical images.

Add further columns to Shared Links report
In order to prepare a csv file to bulk update existing shared links, it is necessary to
A) run TWO reports - a BOX USERS Report (CLI command), and a SHARED LINKS ReportIf however, you wish to provide a list of shared links to each Box user who created the link(s), then a THIRD report is needed, a USER ACTIVITY Report (for max years, Items Shared action). This report needs to be filtered to show only the latest date/user that created the link (NB a shared link may be created more than once)
B) then the BOX USERS Report output and SHARED LINKS Report output (and USER ACTIVITY Report output) are merged to identify the Item owner login ID, the creator email address, creator ID (the ID of the user who last created the link)
Currently the SHARED LINKS Report has the following columns:
Item owner login
Item ID
Item name
Path
Shared item type
Shared link status
Shared Link Derived Status
Shared link URL
Custom URL
Password set
Created date
Expiry
PermissionsTo AVOID the necessity of running the USER ACTIVITY Report and BOX USERS Report, and AVOID the time-consuming task of vlookups and editing to merge the three reports, it is requested that the Shared Links Report has the following THREE additional columns:
-Item owner login ID (the ID of the box account in which the link resides)
-Creator email address (the email address of the LAST user to create the shared link)
-Creator ID (the ID of the user who created the shared link most recentlyBy doing so, not only can CLI Command line be used to edit/remove shared links (requires itemid, itemtype and as-user (item owner login ID), but also mailmerge to users who created the shared links can be created, together with personalised spreadsheets for each user

Do not display add-ins that are hidden in the Microsoft tenant settings
Although we have set the Add-ins button to be hidden in the Microsoft 365 admin center, this setting is not reflected when opening Office Online via Box, and users are still able to add add-ins.
If users add add-ins that administrators are not aware of, there is a possibility that we may not be able to respond to any issues or security problems that may arise as a result.
We request either that the settings in the Microsoft 365 admin center be applied to Box, or that Box provide an option to hide the Add-ins button in Office Online. In Japanese:

AI Model Name Display
When using Box AI for Documents or Box AI for Notes, please display the name of the currently active AI model on the screen so users can see which model they are using.
As AI models evolve, the same question may yield different answers than before. Therefore, it is important for users to always know which AI model they are currently using.3 votes -
Remove Platform App Change Approval Requirement & Improve SDK/API support
I currently have a production issue (all key functionality is severely impaired, on par with an outage) as a result of failed API calls and because changing App Platform settings requires the approval of a Box Enterprise Admin review and approval. There is no ETA on how long this will take: days, weeks, months? Other community posts echo this concern and there were no concrete answers provided. This is revenue impacting and needs attention in the next 12 hours. While I understand this is not an enterprise account and there are only so many admins that can review these requests, this workflow is not sustainable, the requirement could be removed, simply by putting stricter security rules and guardrails in place and letting the user be responsible for their settings with legal binding agreements, etc. AWS demonstrates this wonderfully.
Please contact me, regarding this matter asap.

Export / Import annotations via API
Box is growing fast and being considered a real challenger to the rest of ECM platforms, but it still lacks important features to be fully considered when migrating from those other platforms. There's no option at all to bring over annotations from existing systems or recreate them via API. For some business units that's a MUST, so it would be perfect to have that option available.

Add a “comment visibility” option in Link Settings
In Link Settings, we’d like an option to control whether comments are visible.
Currently, when a shared link is set to a non-edit permission such as Can view only (or Can view and download), comments aren’t visible to viewers. Even for non-edit shared links, we want viewers to be able to view timestamped comments on videos, since this feature is extremely useful.
Use case: We publish videos on Box Hubs and share them externally using People with the link (Can view only). If viewers could see comments, we could point them to specific parts of the video more efficiently.(日本語)
In Link Settings, we’d like an option to control whether comments are visible.
