Thumbnails should be able to be requested in a batch.
You should be able to download all thumbnails for the items within a folder.
1 voteGreat suggestion – we don’t have any plans to do this anytime soon, however.

Make Custom Terms of Service Page Responsive
Currently, the Custom Terms of Service acceptance page that users are shown upon first login to Box (when their EID has enabled Custom ToS) is not responsive and renders pretty poorly across Mobile, Sync, and other endpoints where the window is smaller than a full browser window.
1 voteUnfortunately we aren’t able to prioritize this ask at this time. Thanks though for the feedback and keep them coming!

More option for IP whitelisting
Currently, there are 2 options for IP whitelisting which are "webapp only" and "all endpoints". Is it possible to switch "API" as new option? I think "webapp only", "webapp+API", and "all endpoints" are enough options.
There are many enterprises using cloud-based IDP like Azure AD, Okta and Centrify which can implement Auto Provisioning/De-Provisioning using Box API. When "all endpoints" is set, IdP's Auto Provisioning/De-Provisioning fails because they use Box API. Some enterprises are choosing "all endpoint" in Japan for their security reason, so I would appreciate if you could consider this request seriously.

Password Change Prompt on Mobile Login
If an end user must reset their password (either mandated by admin or enterprise settings), we would like that notification to appear when the user tries to log in on the mobile app
We would also like a notification when the password is going to expire (i.e., your password will expire in 7 days)
2 votesWe will re-evaluate this request based on additional customer demand.

Importing from other document types is something we’d love to support in the future, but isn’t currently planned. Please continue to submit ideas and requests here, and we’ll update if this changes.

Enable pinch-in/pinch-out on mobile browser previews
We share files as open-links to our users and external collaborators who do not have a Box account. They view documents on mobile.
1 voteThis is an important feature, but is not on the 2019 roadmap.

This is not planned for our current roadmap. We will let you know if anything changes.

Allow third party mobile apps to "Use EMM" for login instead of direct Box API
Instead of having users log into Box from other third party apps, have them use the auth from Box EMM. This allows Box to whitelist EMM for logins. Box should know for all integrations that the login from the 3rd party app is from a trusted device (since EMM is on it)
1 voteWe’ve explored this idea, but it does not appear technically feasible at this time. We are happy to revisit with additional demand.

Ability to change user external collaboration role by API
Support divestitures and enabling default setting to enabled. We have folks doing this task which should be easily automated.
1 voteThis suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. It would be great if the team can get more details about this request.

Personal folders created by a service account appear yellow instead of blue
When content creation is restricted and personal folders are created on a users behalf, it would make more sense for the end user to see those folders as yellow instead of blue to indicate that they aren't shared
2 votesThis is not on our roadmap. We will prioritize other requests which have a higher impact.

Enterprise settings should trump individual folder settings
My only recommendation is that Enterprise Settings should override individual setting and not the other way around. What if the Enterprise Site Admin account was compromised?
1 voteThank you for submitting this suggestion.
We’re unlikely to look into changing our settings restriction model without additional customers requesting such an investigation. We will monitor this for additional feedback.

We’ll re-evaluate this request with increased demand. However, it is not a priority.

For Admins, Content Manager is essentially a visualization of the folder tree.

This is not currently on the near-term roadmap.

More granular setting options for users set to "Inactive" in the Admin Console
We would like two sub options for accounts set to "Inactive" status in the Edit User Profile details (in addition to the existing Inactive setting behavior):
Inactive sub-option 1: Enable a warning for all existing shares and collaborations that the Inactive user owns. If another user is accessing a folder owned by the Inactive user, they should be informed that the content could be deleted with the deletion of the account, and that a copy should be taken quickly.
Inactive sub-option 2: Enable a warning AND make content read-only for all existing shares and collaborations that the Inactive user owns.…
2 votesThis is a good use case, but other user statuses might partially solve some of these needs. Let us know in the comments if it does not.

WeChat integration
This would make Box much more valuable to our Chinese user base.

Ability to edit a file if it is in the Trash
Once a file is in the trash, the only way to remove tags, metadata, is by restoring the file, making the changes, and sending it back to Trash.
0 votesThis is not planned at this time.

Quarantined Files - View Folder Path
Currently an admin looking at the Quarantine section of Content Manager is not shown any information about where the file was attempted to be uploaded, which is also where the file will exist if the admin clicks 'restore' (approves) the file.
REQUEST: Provide location information for quarantined files such as the folder path, owner, uploader, etc. This information is already in the policy violation email that's sent to admins, so it should also be available in Content Manager.
2 votesWe are not currently making any vast improvements on quarantine in the short term. This is still helpful. We will reconsider it when working on this feature area.
