About collaborator permission settings
When sharing data with external users on the cloud, if you try to give them editing privileges such as "download," "delete," or "rename," they will be given "editor" privileges.
However, as an "editor" you will be able to "invite" and "set access privileges."
This is excessive privilege to give to external users.
On the other hand, in the "Viewer/Uploader", it is not possible to "rename" or "delete", and data uploaded by mistake cannot be deleted, and the folder cannot be edited at all, and the administrator account I need to delegate the work.Requests a permission setting between "Editor" and "Viewer/Uploader".

External collaboration Allow list per group
We would like to limit the external collaboration to allowed domains for a specific group not the entire tenant.
This is useful when the subsidiary company, especially a financial company, can have a limited external collaboration for security reason.107 votes -
Trash
Can we have the ability to preview files in the trash can like we can in the web browser? Having all of the trashed files listed by name but with no way to preview makes it harder for me to identify the content I may want to permanently delete or restore. Also, can we please have the ability to know the folder path the deleted file will be restored to before restoring the file? I have to hunt down files after I restore them as there is no easy way for me to know where they are going to be restored to. Perhaps a toggle option to be able to restore files to root path of box would be a good option.

Display deleted user name instead of Prior Collaborator name on the Activity Details
Display the name of a previous commenter, approver or collaborator, even if the user has left the organisation. At the moment it just says 'a prior collaborator' and this is not helpful when retrospectively tracking why key business decisions were made.

box sign attachments can be picked up by Relay
Relay needs to be able to include attachments that were submitted along with the signed documents.
Example, I want to move all signed documents + audit log + attachments to a specific folder.

Shared link setting for each Account from Admin Console
We can set external collaborator setting for each users from Admin Console but we cannot set Shared Link setting for each users from Admin Console.
If the tenant uses Open Folder Taxonomy, all users can control shared link setting.
Especially 「People with the link」 is concerned by some Open Folder Taxonomy tenants.

When requesting files via the File Request, please allow for bold, underline, or other formatting to be added to the message to remind the uploader.

Ability to make an account READ-ONLY which includes Download restriction
For security purposes, we need to set accounts to READ-ONLY mode. Currently, Box offers four account status options: Active, Inactive, cannotdeleteedit, and cannotdeleteedit_upload.
Unfortunately, none of these statuses allow for a true read-only setting. The latter two statuses still permit downloading, which poses a risk of data exfiltration from Box. The Inactive status is also not suitable, as it prevents all collaborators from accessing shared content. We request the creation of a READ-ONLY status to address this need.2 votes -

The logo displayed in the shared link preview may violates customer's brand guidelines.
The company logo displayed in the upper left corner of the shared link preview page is incorrectly cropped and filled in.
Many use cases of the shared link should adhere to each company's brand guidelines.
Example:
-Provide a company-wide notification on a shared link of "Users in the company"
-Publish introductory material about the company's products on a shared link of "everyone with the link"The current unauthorized editing of the logo is undesirable and should be improved as soon as possible.

Ability to Hide Files from Users in Box Hubs
It would be useful to have the option to hide certain files from users in Box Hubs. This would allow us to add files in formats like .csv or JSON for Box AI to process without cluttering the user interface. Often, data is organized in ways that are visually helpful for users but difficult for Box AI to interpret effectively. By hiding files, we could optimize the AI's ability to provide accurate answers while keeping the UI clean.
For example, we use a complex PDF matrix to help staff identify key contacts for various tasks like reporting, data analysis, and IT. Box AI struggled to interpret the color-coded matrix and provide accurate contact information. However, once I added a JSON file with the structured contact data, Box AI was able to guide users to the correct resources easily.
This feature could also support adding hidden transcripts, summaries, or Q&A files for videos, allowing users to ask questions about video content without disrupting the main interface.
This functionality would enhance Box AI's performance and streamline user experience.

Editable summary of Hub tile in Hubs gallery page
In Box Hubs beta, in a gallery page, users can see
invited Hubs site , in a each site tile, text is displayed in the tile as a summary or introduction of the site.Could you consider enabling users (editors, co-owners) to change the the text in a tile?
The text at the top ot the Hub site is dislayed in the tile in the gallery but

Hubs: support of Multi Blocks copy
In Box Hubs beta, only single Block (eg: file and folder) is able to be copied in a Hub site, but hope multi blocks are also to be done.

Add 'Box file request' in the content to Box hubs
We want to add 'Box file request' in the content to Box hubs. This would enable various departments within the company to upload files directly here. Currently, Box file requests can accessed via a link, so having the ability to upload files through box hubs would be extremely convenient.

Proxy user ID for C-Level profiles
For executive level users, or high public visibility folks, provide a method to suppress, or proxy their actual username. These are often tied to Single Sign On accounts, hidden at the global level, but visible in local apps, like Box. We have a workaround in creating a surrogate account, but it would be nice to simply add a proxy directly in Box to allow these individuals to log in through the normal Company Single Sign On process.
