2. Enhanced automatic locking of read-only files

   Allow users to choose to lock or not lock the read-only configuration file instead of automatically locking it.

   It also prevents the read-only attribute from being automatically released when auto-unlocked.

3. Make bulk user upload more robust and improve error notifications

   I attempted to bulk-add ~250 users. This turned into a long run of whack-a-mole and required Box Product Support intervention because:

   a) Rows that did not have errors were not processed
   b) Rows that did have errors sometimes failed silently (sometimes perhaps caused by secondary email addresses or external email addresses)

   My net experience was getting not-particularly-actionable errors like this:

   Because some of the information in the file you uploaded may have contained errors or conflicts, not all users were added to your Box account successfully.

   Of the 221 users in the file you uploaded, 221 users were not added due to possible errors in their information.

4. Drag and Drop documents from collections to different folders

   Hey!

   I keep frequently used document templates in my collections, and it would be great to drag them from the left sidebar and drop them into the current folder I am viewing.

   If I want to copy a document template that is in my collections sidebar to a folder, I have to click into the document and then navigate to copy/move and then find the folder I was just in and select copy.

   I hope this makes sense, but happy to discuss it further.

5. Relay: Extend Collaboration as an action

   I would like to have "Extend Collaboration" as an option of "Action" in Relay.
   This is useful when a certain project is longer than the expiration set in the whole account.
   When it is known the finish date for that project, I would like to automatically extend the expiry date beforehand using Relay.

6. Making Box Notes specific to Folders

   I use Box Notes as a running shared agenda with clients, however, it's difficult to switch between client's notes since they only allow for one default location to save notes. I try to save them directly in the folder the client is working out of.

   Could there be multiple save locations for notes for a specific folder? Or a way to assign it once created?

7. Auto-open files when downloaded from Outlook to Box Drive

   Currently when one downloads files from Outlook to box drive on one's laptop/desktop, one has to then go to that folder using file explorer (often several clicks or using the quick access menu) to open the file and then editing it. It would be very useful to have an auto open feature once the file is downloaded. Similar features are already available while using say Gmail on the web browser or even downloading a file from WhatsApp's desktop app.

9. Open Box Drive in full screen mode

   1 - Box Drive Icon on the Task Bar should Open the Box Drive Search Tool, not the Bod Drive Folder in Windows Explorer.

   2 - The Box Drive application should open up on full-screen view, with the BOX Folders on the left (as in Windows Explorer) - With the Box Search Tool on the right. This will go a VERY LONG way to help new users to "get comfortable with" / transition to BOX!

10. Add "Updated/Changed" File Event as a Trigger

    Add "Updated/Changed" File Event as a Trigger.

    Triggering a Relay on a specific file when it has been updated directly or updated with an upload, maintaining file history.

    The current workaround is to create a "New upload" Trigger, then the file needs to be Deleted and create/uploaded from new, thus requiring 2 steps and losing file history.

11. Max_Upload_Size Field Needs a Box CLI Switch for User Record Updating

    Each user now has the maxuploadsize field in their user record, which designates the largest single file size that a user can upload. This setting can be viewed in the user's profile in the WebUI and is set as an Enterprise level setting.

    Just as the user's spaceamount (their quota) can be set via the Box CLI, using the --disk-space switch when updating a user's record, there is a need to be able to access a switch to set maxupload_size when updating individual user records via the Box CLI.

    I've switched over from Dropbox where I was able to copy a comment placed on a file via the app

    Please include that feature (3 dots in the right corner of every comment) in the app to be able to copy the text to paste elsewhere

14. I want you to make the preview of Excel easier to see

    Excel is hard to see the preview.
    The page is split unnaturally.
    For example, in the case of Google Sheets, it looks the same whether it is Read Only or editable.
    In the same way, I want you to improve it so that it looks the same regardless of whether it is Read Only or edit OK.

16. Create custom alerts if user/subset of users performs "X" amount of Downloads/Copies in "Y" amount of time

    We would like the ability to Create custom alerts to send email notifications if any user, or a specific subset of users, performs "X" amount of Downloads/Copies/Shares/Uploads/etc in "Y" amount of time (where we can select what "X" and "Y" are). We know that there is a way to setup a "Content Security - Download" policy that will send email notifications if download activity is "Low, Medium or High" based on your preset definitions of what that means (for instance "High = 12 per hour" in the preset rule), but that doesn't necessarily correspond to what we would want to flag as "High" usage. For instance, we would like to setup an alert that triggers if someone runs maybe 40 or 50 downloads in an hour, but 12 an hour would be fairly common.

17. I want to use BOX instead of PPAP. PPAP is Japanese bad protocol name that file transfer with email.

    Before, most Japanese company used PPAP to send files with email. PPAP is a jargon that protocol name in JAPAN. PPAP is an idea of "Sending crypted zip file with email and sending password of zip with next email".
    Japanese company used the idea for security. But it didn't work well for security because of using same root sending crypted zip file and password.
    So our Japanese company want to use BOX instead of PPAP. This idea is not collaborating function of BOX. The idea is "Sending files (or folder) URL of BOX to BOX users". When receiver want to download from the files URL, they have to login with BOX. So sender doesn’t need to send password on email anymore. For now, using collaborator function is too expensive to just sending files. The idea is very little, but most of the Japanese company would start considering to use BOX which have this function.

    I hope the Enhanced lock/unlock experience, which is currently only available for Office files, be made available for CAD files and others as well.
