Instant Clipboard Copying for generated 'Share' links
I think it would be a good idea to have feature parity with the Google Drive sharing experience which immediately copies your share link to your clipboard when the permissions settings popover appears.

Change "Recents" list functionality
If a folder is shared with a user, the user sees all files in that folders in his recent list - no matter if the user has accessed the file himself, or the file was accessed by another user where the folder was shared with as well.
This doesn't make sense from my point of view. Especially in larger teams every day multiple files are generated and which the user never touches.Can you please change the functionality of the recent list in a way, that only files appear is the list which have been accessed by the user itself…

Unsubscribe from notification on folder / file level
Our organisation (ad agency, 200+ staff) works for 70+ customers. The customers are assigend to teams. In Box, every customer has a project folder, and a team is assigned to a folder (with editor rights).
But not all members of a team work for all clients of a team, and even if the work for the respective customer, they do not participate at all folder/files of a customer. Regards notification this means that all team members are spammed with notifications for clients they don't work for and files or folder they never participated on.I would mean a huge admin…

Display warning message on accidental uploads to specific folders
If a file is accidentally uploaded to a specific folder (viewer privileges granted) using BoxDrive, I would like the upload process to be stopped or a warning message to be displayed. Currently, files are displayed as if they were uploaded to the computer (locally) as a cache.
BoxDriveを利用して特定のフォルダ（ビューアー権限付与）へファイルを誤ってアップロード した場合にアップロード処理を停止or警告メッセージを表示して欲しい。 現状、パソコン（ローカル）上へファイルがキャッシュとしてアップロードされたように表示されてしまう。

Collaboration Email Wording
The current wording of the collaboration email sent to users can cause confusion due to the name of the sender appearing in the "From" address. Recipients are not noticing the sender’s actual email address and assuming when they reply to the invitation, sent to them by [insert friendly name, e.g., Bob Smith], that their reply was received by Bob Smith.
The originating invitation sender’s name is included in the Subject line and body of the invitation, can the “friendly name” be removed from the From line? Can additional text be added to the From address that includes an all caps…

Allow exceptions for users/groups when setting shared link expiration at org level
We have auto-expiry and prevent users from modifying the expiration. We want to allow exceptions to either user/group/specific folder so we could have permanent links for storing files for web or other projects.

Separate folder move and copy function
As far as i understand, the move and copy folder function in Box Web is combined from a role perspective. That means a user must have Co-Owner rights to move a folder but also to copy a folder. I agree that moving a folder means deleting the folder on the source location which may need elevated role. But copying a folder only needs read access on the source folder. So it would be great to separate these two functions and make the copy function available to users who have editor role on the target folder and have at least previewer…

Disabling Collections
Currently under Enterprise settings we only have the capability to disable "Collections Promotion" where users receive informational prompts about the feature, but we are in need of disabling the Collections feature for specific users or even the enterprise as a whole.

Add (Box Alternate domain) for Box FTP access from inside China & Hong Kong.
Add (Box Alternate domain) to support Box FTP access.
Our China/Hong Kong users needs to be able to upload large data sets via FTP/TLS. They can't access ftp.box.com. Thanks.

Assigning tasks without previewing file
When assigning a general or approval task, we must open the file itself and then add the tasks.
There should be an option to just right click the file (on box.com) and have the ability to assign general/approval tasks from there instead of having to open each file.

Allow users to decide which context menu entires (right click menu) they want to see
I've never once wanted to 'Create a Box Note' or 'Search in this folder' yet they will take up two context menu spaces unless I can figure out some way to turn them off in the registry. Allow users to select what context menus pop up please! Otherwise it's a big waste of space.

Thumbnail & Quick View Support on Mac OS 12.4
I'm not sure why this isn't a feature, but it definitely should be! My team views a lot of art files and the lack of thumbnail and quick view support is a huge wrench in our workflow.

share reports in a parent folder
When you create a weekly scheduled report (User Activity report for example) and share it with a user (as a Viewer), this user sees too many folder named "User Activity run on xxxxxx".
It is because it's the report subfolder that is shared with the user, and not the "Box reports" folder.Is it possible to store scheduled reports inside a parent folder (like "Box user reports") or a named one by the administrator creating the report ?

Payment Pop-up window directly in Box Sign after contract is signed to pay for that contract
Developing a similar payment pop-up window that Docusign has where once a customer signs a contract in Docusign they're then able to to pay for that contract as well directly in Box Sign. I think this could be very beneficial for our clients and make their transactional business much more seamless with their own clients.

User Details Report: Add "Confirmation Column"
If the User Details Report can have a Confirmation column, it allows Admins to know exactly who has completed signing up for Box and who needs to complete their sign up process.
It can also let us know that if someone is experiencing issues confirming their email, then we can see if any others are having issues by seeing if they are confirmed or not.

Viewing PPTX files via web browser
There is a pretty glaring glitch with the Web App when viewing PPTX files. It will repaginate the slides. Example, if your cover slide starts at 0, the Box Web App will repaginate the slides starting at 1, which can be confusing to people when trying to reference a specific slide. Once you download the file, then the pagination goes back to normal.
I'm hoping this gets fixed in an update.

Ability to Disable or Choose email Notification when Inviting Collaborators
We would like to have the option to email or not email a collaborator when sharing a content in Box. Example use case is when cleaning up Box permissions (group vs individual) and the Admin needs to do that seamlessly without bombarding he whole organization with Box invites to files/folders hey already have access to. Specially required for Internal collaborators.
Providing access permissions does not always require an invite given the way Box works, the internal user will simply see the content when they access their Box Drive or he portal.1 vote -
'Carrier Signal Flag'-like functionality on folder icons
When either a new file is uploaded or an existing file is edited in a folder, a small red flag pops up on the folder icon and stay up for a certain period of time to indicate the update.
It would save time and labour to routinely open the folder and sort files by 'Updated' timestamps in descending order every few hours to check for file updates which only happen once in a couple of days, for instance.1 vote
