I want to enable or disable offline use by folder or user in Box for iOS and Android.
I would like to be able to enable or disable offline use for Box for iOS and Android on a per-folder or per-user basis.
I want to be able to disable specific folders or enable or disable offline use on a per-user basis, because the large number of downloads that occur due to offline use can cause congestion in the network.1 vote -
About file display
・I would like to be able to fix the sort order of files when opening folders (many users want to sort by file name).
・I want the viewer screen to open in a separate tab after clicking on a file.
・I want the screen to open in a separate tab after clicking "+*users" to confirm the shared users.

Box for Outlook: would be great if you could modify the attachment file name as you drop into Box.
Let's enable modifying the file name of the attachment in Outlook as it's saved into Box drop. Otherwise, I have to simply use Save As functionality in Outlook to modify the file name and get it to the right customer folder in Box. We use specific naming conventions to save files into customer folders. The document's file name needs to reflect the content. Without this detail, we have to wade through lots of documents in order to find what we need.

Feature enable " bulk uncheck" select items.
when there are many images on the based Boxnotes, Box Notes Images folder multiple items.
would like to make a open link the notes with the Boxnotes images.
If controll for open link, we enabled to be neccesery expiration date admin settings on admin console.But therefore if user needs no expiration (ex.newsletter or somthing) it quite takes time and effort to uncheck ”No expiration dates” shared link.

Improve BOX relay workflow functionality - storing file info / search patterns in a variable for use in a workflow
We tried using BOX relay to see if we can drop a file in a master folder, and copy it from mirrored folders, or delete from mirrored folders when deleted / moved from the master folder. But once you trigger a workflow you lose any connection to that file for future workflows.
A feature request would be to get the filename for file which triggers a workflow - store this in a variable and apply an action on matching files with the same name within another target folder. This filename / variable should be available in all steps within a given…

Add information about when users clicks a bookmark to the user activity report
Currently, the behavior when users click a bookmark created in Box and move to the link destination is not included in the user activity report.
Administrators want to check which they used bookmarks and when from Box and which sites they accessed from the log.

Disable in app messaging
I hate the in app messaging popping up every time I log in. Super annoying and distracting and I want to turn it off desperately. I REALLY hate it. Fine if you want to promo your stuff, but give me the option to turn off your in app messaging. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

Group of users
When I uploaded a new file, the order of the groups was disjointed.
Example: Everyone: Sales Headquarters
Sales Headquarters: All
I want to align the group display neatly, but the order does not change even if I select managed user → upload updated file.
Support replied that it is not possible. I would like to be able to sort the files even after uploading.1 vote -

Ability to (Box)sign directly in the Approval Task preview window
Feature to sign directly in the preview windows of Approval Task, without going to BoxSign page, and also the signed file is saved with the same name of original file and differentiate by the version only.

administrator notification
Email notification to BOX administrators when an issue is known within BOX. This would help administrators be proactive on BOX issues with users to prevent multiple calls, emails, tickets, etc. from being generated creating much unneeded noise.

Account based folder notification settings
We would like to allow each collaborator to configure their own folder notification settings for each folder. Currently, all collaborators must use the same email notification settings designated by an owner or co-owner.
Some collaborators may be waiting on file uploads or downloads and want an email notification, but other collaborators may not want the noise in their inbox. The "override defaults" option in folder settings should only apply to the currently logged in user account.

Limit office files (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) to be open through their corresponding web version
Limit office files (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) to be open through their corresponding web version. That is, only allowing these office files to be opened only through Word Online, Excel Online, etc. As of right now, these files are able to be opened through Google Docs and Google sheets, which alters the formatting of their original files.

Corporate users can change their username - Security Concern
Users can change their name and potentially phish users. There should be a Box administrator options to lock users from changing their name in the user profile page. (For systems that have users created via third party applications based on AD)

Detect empty folders
Is there a way to detect empty folders in Box (so we can delete them if needed, to simplify a folder tree) ?
Maybe a tool on a computer can work (like Remove Empty Directories) but it would be great if it was detected by Box itself.1 vote -
Bring back the comments icon
I get so many notifications it's hard to manage notifications. Can you bring back the comment icon on a file that someone has added their notes to? Unless I click on the file to open it up, I can't tell someone has left a comment or change. Thanks!

Access Box AI via search bar. Generate Box AI insights from ALL internal Box content that I have permission to, not just individual files
E.g. we have years of contracts and legal research on a variety of different issues - articles, contract templates, white papers, screenshots, etc.
We would like to have Box AI trained on our own research and contracts, that can help generate contract clauses - like, "based on our own data, generate a warranty provision for a client that operates a SaaS data storage service" with a result that provides suggestions and Box links back to the documents where it found those suggestions.
I believe there are legal tech companies rushing to create these kinds of legal tools, but we wanted…

Allow Document Date in the Home Page Column name and to sort in chronological order
The ability to add the document date and sort by this will be so helpful. Currently I am naming all documents to include the date to allow to sort chronologically. This feature will be great especially to ensure order of documents and their relevance.
