Restrict Classification edits to Governance menu
A admin can access the Classification template in the Metadata page and delete values of classification. That makes errors. Classification should be only accessible via the Governance menu and not via the Metadata menu.

Allow collaboration with secondary email addresses/alias
Our users have email addresses ending with <company name>.bw and the UPN is ending with <company name>.com.
Box treats <company name>.com and <company name>.bw as different IDs and Box only logs through SSO, so account is validated through UPN only which is <company name>.com.
When users login with <company name>.com they are able to login to box but they are unable to see the files which have been shared with <company name>.bw id.
When any file/folder is shared with <company name>.com id users do not receive any email because the primary SMTP has been setup with <company name>.bw.2 votes -
Report on files containing PII
We would like the ability to run a report which will identify files with PII in our environment, such as social security numbers or credit card numbers. Currently, notification is provided upon upload of the content, and only if the customer has governance and the appropriate content security classifications

Configurable character limits for Custom URLs
Provide enterprises with the ability to opt in or out of the 12 character minimum requirement for Custom URLs; alternatively: allow enterprise Admin to specify the minimum character requirement for the enterprise

Prevent internal users collaborating on external content
This would prevent the possibility that users might collaborate on content that they do not own and from uploading or sharing content into spaces not owned by their own organisation

Allow SVG logos in Enterprise Branding
Box uses an SVG to keep their logo crips on high DPI displays. I want to be able to upload an SVG in Enterprise Settings > Branding to get our logo crisp as well. PNG files aren't cutting it on high resolution displays on any basic Mac these days.

Expose Metadata (EXIF, Codec, Duration, DPI, Resolution, Rating, etc.) with a "Properties" or "Get Info" like appraoch
Both Windows and macOS can easily expose more info - this includes the rich metadata in any kind of file.
It'd be nice to have an "All Properties" or "More Info" type of file that displays a files full metadata.
This data is already baked into the file and only needs to be exposed or indexed for display/searching.
Examples:
EXIF (camera, model, photographer, exposure settings, etc.), IPTC (keywords, location, description), Movie FPS, Movie Duration, Movie Codec, Movie Audio Channel Count, Image Resolution, Image DPI, Office Document Author, etc.Workflow:

"Open With" UI Element Documentation is broken - does the feature work?
Does the "Box Content Open With" feature work for anyone?
I see it as being broken in the developer documentation and I'm unable to get it working with my own app after following the documentation.

Add refresh button to Box Drive
Add a refresh button to Box Drive above the Log out option in the system tray. When our users experience Box Drive red marks on their folders we always tell them to log out and log back in to refresh the folders. It would be nice if there was a refresh button.

Move uploaded files (via an Automation) to different folders based on the file type.
Use case: Users could bulk upload a range of file types (docx, image pdf, audio etc) into a single folder that redirects each file based on the file type to different folders for different skills processing.
Example: a word doc and an audio file could be uploaded to the same folder the word doc gets auto moved to a folder that triggers a skill to extract concepts however the audio file is moved to a folder that triggers a speech to text skill (the text could then be auto moved to the same folder as the word doc for concept…2 votes -
Add Share overview
Currently our end user do not know what they have shared. It would be great everyone has a tab showing them which folders and files they have shared and how it was shared. (incl expiration). That will give them an overview they can go through to see if folders are still require to be shared.

Document stamp / seal of approval
In addition to being able to watermark documents, users could be authorized by administrators to customize the image to allow the addition of stamps/chops for legal purposes, approvals, compliance reasons, etc.

Create a group and then assign them tasks all at once
When assigning a task we have to add each assignee one at a time. Can we create a group and assign all at once? I send off to 11 and Barbara has 18 names.

For the Salesforce managed package, integrate with built-in merge funcionality
Currently, within Salesforce, if records are merged, the link to the child Box folder gets lost and orphaned. The integration should hook into this out-of-the-box functionality to maintain data integrity for Box files on the platform.

Folder Tree View in WebApp (Windows Explorer/Finder, eBuilder)
I noticed that Box does not have a high-level folder tree view, except in the 'All Files' page (you click on the arrow next to "All Files"). Many Box folders in my company's folder structure take a very long time to load - however the folder tree view on the 'All Files' page loads quicker, but still not as fast as another application like eBuilder. Having a permanent option on the web application would be very efficient when tracking down files, and load times won't be as cumbersome. Mask or hide email addresses
There is a need to hide or mask email addresses for instance we have service accounts by business unit that 'own' all of the content and also high-level executives that cannot be spammed by external collaborators.

Allow comments on more than one file at a time. Also it would be great if the comments would follow a file.
