capture history should be optional
The Capture History should be optional to toggle on or off.
We have a folder that relays the file to a secure location. We have onboarding iPads that we use to have people fill out their forms that contains sensitive information, and then they place that file in that folder. The onboarding team just realized that a copy of that file and any images/pdf's are being stored in a different folder.We want to keep our information secure, and this automatic feature isn't beneficial for our use of Box. We don't want to have to manually delete each copy.

Increase of the upper limit on the number of metadata templates that can be created and permission management for metadata templates
Currently, our company has a wide variety of unstructured data, and we would like to make use of metadata templates. However, there are significant differences in the templates that each on-site team wants to use. At present, metadata templates can only be created up to 500 per tenant, which leads to competition over templates. We would like to be able to create an almost unlimited number of metadata templates.
In addition, once a metadata template is created, it becomes viewable across the entire tenant, which feels inconsistent with Box’s underlying philosophy of content-level permission management. We would like metadata templates…1 vote -

In Box Automate, I created a custom extract agent and selected a source folder. However, after reviewing the run history, I noticed that only the files in the top-level source folder are processed, while files in subfolders are ignored. I would like the ability to select a source folder and have the agent automatically include all subfolders within it or give you the option to include them.
We currently have a couple scenarios where we would like to run extraction on existing files and folders in a parent folder retroactively, not just new uploads.

n my Salesforce Org ha we have Box managed package installed, some apex classes as part of package BoxAILWCControllerEnhancedTests, BoxFileService are using account and contact name fields in soql queries with like operators which is blocking us from encrypting those fields using shield platform encrption in salesforce as The operator like is not supported on an encrypted field
Can we modify the apex classes to stop filtering by like operator

When my sidebar is expanded in Box, my entire Box window experiences a glitch that makes the entire screen strobe back and forth until I collapse the sidebar. It is extremely irritating and often I want the sidebar open so I can see details about an item.

Hover over file name
I see that a hover option to view whole file names was offered in 2022. This used to work fine for me but recently stopped. I can no longer hover to see whole file names and have to go back to opening the doc to view full names. Am I the only one having this problem or did it stop for everyone?

When creating an Agent in AI Studio, it's not clear that permission is not automatically granted to the Agent creator. Switch to Cloud File API for Drive to solve the Icons not showing issue
Like many users I found that the status icons disappeared in Explorer after starting an addition cloud service on Windows 11. This issue is well documented here: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044195513-Icons-Do-Not-Appear-In-Box-Drive-or-Box-Sync-on-Windows
I would like to suggest utilizing the newer "cloud files API" provided by Microsoft that is used by OneDrive to move the icons to a status category rather than icons on the file thumbnails/icons.

I want to be able to show or hide the content displayed in the root folder
Since you are invited to many folders in the company, a large number of folders will appear in the root folder (folder/0).

Section Limit on Hub Pages
Currently, there is a 90-section limit for each Hub page. We are concerned about letting users manage their hubs freely because they often don't keep track of the number of sections. Based on my validation, the frequency of this issue is unacceptable. Could you please increase this limit?

Audit log for changes to Hub settings.
I would like changes to the “Hubs Global Presets” or “Hub Settings” to be recorded in the security log.
Even if we apply restrictions on collaboration and shared links, there is currently no way to trace what happened when those restrictions are somehow removed. From a security and compliance standpoint, not being able to review an audit trail of these operations poses a significant risk.（日本語）

Adding direct links dialog to the shared links dialog popup
There really needs to be a way that the direct links dialog could be moved to the Shared Links dialog box so that you don't have to have multiple click to just to get a direct link to an image file. At the current time, it's a lengthy process to create direct image links. See the attached files and please fix this!

Custom Poster Frame for Video Thumbnails
When a video is uploaded to Box the preview thumbnail is automatically pulled from a frame 10% into the video. For media and entertainment clients this can be a challenge because that frame is often an unflattering still of a talent mid-speech or in an awkward pose. That's the first thing clients see when they log in to review a file.
Platforms like YouTube and Vimeo have a great implementation of this where you can pick a specific frame or upload a custom image as the thumbnail. It would be wonderful to see something similar in Box.
