Limited access to external collaborators on file & folder
Dear Team, I want to give access to my auditor some file. However I do not want them to edit, save , download or print screen any documents.
How to do this ?

Timestamp watermark appears in GMT timezone when public shared link is accessed.
When a user is logged into Box and accesses a shared link, the watermark will appear in the timezone for their Box account.
But when a public shared link is accessed without logging into a Box account, which is the most cases, then the watermark timestamp will appear in GMT instead of the device time settings.
This would cause inconsistency for the time accuracy , some are the time user download or view the file, however some are not (GMT).

Box Drive allows users without edit rights to download and edit files.
You can prevent this by setting the file to "read-only" when users without editing permission open it.For example, if a collaborator with preview permission uses Box Drive, the file can be edited and saved on the user's PC.
As in the case above, to prevent files from being downloaded, edited, and saved on the user's PC, customers want to have function "read only" when users without edit permission open files from Box…

Support preview for macro enabled MS Office files. Also add preview support for .jcl files for z/OS.
Many types of MS Office files are already supported by Box Preview. Not sure why adding the macro-enabled file support has not been done.
JCL (Job Control Language) files are used extensively in z/OS for many different types of work. It would be nice to store them in Box with the .jcl suffix to distinguish them from run of the mill .txt files.

Provide support for workflow to allow external sharing on specific piece of content only after approval.
This should be core Box functionality, not Box Relay.

Improve navigation of Box Drive for Windows
This is a request to improve the navigation of Box Drive. In Windows Explorer, after a user opens a folder, he can go back to the next higher level folder using "backspace" on the keyboard or "Left Arrow ←", but at this time, the last selected folder is selected and displayed. If a user performs the same operation on Box Drive, the user will be taken to the screen of the folder scrolled below the selected folder, but not 100% of the time. Switch from detail view to navigating folder hierarchy
In navigating subfolders and documents: Switching from selected a file to being able to re-navigate folder hierarchy requires clicking the the top header which is nonintuitive

In Admin Console, under Mobile Settings, have the ability to whitelist particular users from the limits put in place with the mobile settings.

Fix access rights popup for 100% resolution
We recently observed an issue with the access rights menu where all options are not displayed when you set your resolution to 100%.
Steps to follow to replicate the issue:
1. Click on “Share this folder” option.
2. Click on “Invite as viewer”
On 100% resolution, the options displayed are till “Previewer” and Previewer is also displayed half cut and there is no scroll bar as well, only when you zoom out all the options are displayed. This has been replicated in IE and Firefox as well.1 vote -
Links on PowerPoint slides are shown with yellow overlay. Want to change this setting
Would like the ability to change the way linked objects on PowerPoint slides are shown in Box.com. Currently, hover on a linked object displays a transparent yellow overlay. Suggest this is changed to darken or lighten content, or outline. Best case: let the content creator determine the best method to display their linked content.

We want to use the Box embed widget to display PDFs for the public on our website. But the widget is too cluttered for public consumption.
The embed widget would be much more useful if it wasn't cluttered up with things like who uploaded the file, the file size, a login window (which is super confusing for a public website) and so on.
There needs to be a plain vanilla embed widget or better yet, the ability to turn on and off the extra clutter.

Seat, user, internal user, external user, collaborator, link sharer, editor, viewer, “inviting collaborators,” “sharing links,” and more - that's a LOT of jargon. How about providing a glossary of your terms for the uninitiated?

O365 Collaboration Speed Improvement
Whatever API is being used with your Microsoft partner is causing a diminished experience when collaborating with more than 10-12 users in an Excel spreadsheet compared to Google Sheets. I understand that these platforms are fundamentally different and handle collaboration with their own set of customized tools, but the experience in collaboration for Excel for numerous users should be as smooth as working on SharePoint or OneDrive. We don't allow Google in our workflow, collaboration in Excel is laggy, slow and terrible.

Fix what you broke!
Recent updates to your service has broken every link and my customers can not access these files until I modify each and every link from the old method to the new method. This is the second time you have done this in the past five years. Seems like a simple fix by your developers to create a batch file to fix all existing links automatically.
This is an example of what needs to be modified for each file I have stored on Box and wish to share with customers...and like I said, I have been down this road with Box…

Direct Link to Open File in Office Online
Currently, you can create a shared link to an Office file that will cause it to open in Box. You must then click the option to open it in Office Online.
It would be nice to have a link option that takes you directly to the page to edit the file in Office Online, while still having the file living in Box. Much like a direct download link, but instead, a direct edit link for the integration.
