Classification Reporting - Add Details of Classification Changes to Usage Logs
Currently, when a file's Classification level is changed, a 'Metadata -> Edited Attributes' event is generated in Usage Logs. However, this event entry doesn't say WHAT changed (aka, it could be a Classification change, it could be any other metadata change - the admin can't tell).
REQUEST: Add information to the 'Details' column of Usage Logs (and the Excel export / API event stream) about what Classification attributes (aka tell the admin what the Classification WAS, and what it is NOW).

Report on all Upload email addresses that are created
Currently we can create a report on shared links. There is not a way to track all upload email addresses that have been created. The features surrounding upload email addresses is rather limited compared to the features associated with shared links.

Folder-Level Sync Controls: Restrict External Collaborators from Syncing a Folder
We disable the Sync usage for our employees for security reasons. However , there is no method to disable Sync usage for external collaborator for the collaborated folders.

Require password when sharing with external users
There is a regulation in Japan called the privacy mark, where obtaining this qualification you need to put a password on all files you share outside of your company. Without this qualification you are not allowed to do business in certain industries

A true silent update is not currently planned. We have made some improvements to Box Drives update behavior by including silent updates when Box Drive is launching, if an update is already available. This improvement is in v2.3 for Mac and v2.3 for Windows.

Set an expiration date on collaborations in a folder
Similar to how shared links can expire.

Ability to change idp name.
Once customer set up SSO connection, that IdP name stays there even after they switch to new IdP. It's UI misrepresentation.
For example, a company may initially setup SSO with Azure using SelfService. If they switch to Okta, the Azure language will remain.12 votes -
Displaying Tag Suggestions to Collaborators
When performing a tag-based search, content owners see tag suggestions automatically populated in the search view as they type the first few characters.
However, users who are not the content owner do not see any suggested terms, so they must already know the exact tags that have been registered.
Because there are many types of tags applied to content across the organization, it is difficult for users to always know all tags accurately.
Even for content they do not own, we would like users to see suggested tag terms during tag search for any tags that are used on content…

Enable Image Pasting in Box Hubs
Box Hubs is a convenient feature, but we would like to further enhance its visual aspect.

Export objects from Box Canvas
It has become very convenient to be able to export the entire Box Canvas as a PNG file.
However, it would be even more useful if individual objects on the Canvas could be copied and pasted into PowerPoint as separate objects.

We would like the "Share" UI for web collaboration to be improved.
Currently, the options for inviting users and generating a shared link are on the same screen, which can be confusing for users.
Please separate the invitation and shared link issuance into clearly distinct screens.

The locking feature in Box for Microsoft Office
Collaborative editing is convenient, but there is a need to prevent others from making edits while someone is making important changes. In Box for Microsoft Office, I would like a feature that allows me to explicitly lock a document while I am editing it, in order to prevent editing conflicts or unintended overwrites by other users during collaborative editing.

Add Date Field to Box Forms
We would like a date field type with a date picker added to box forms. We are currently using the "Number" field type for dates, but are getting formatting discrepancies. There are times we input information using a form that was from a different day so being able to select the correct day and controlling formatting is important. Thank you.

Shared Links Report Enhancement - Report from a specified folder and below
I would like a filter to be added to the Shared Links Report where you can specify a specific folder and the report will run with that folder as the top level and report on shared links for everything below that. This would run much faster than running the report for our entire tenant.
We have much of our data owned by a "Project Account" so it is not controlled by a specific employee. Because of this, running the report with this user as the owner using the existing filter option is much the same as running a tenant-wide report.…

Ability to invite external unmanaged users into Box Apps
We are requesting a new feature that allows external (unmanaged) users to be invited into Box Apps.
Use Case Example:
A law firm wants to share categorized legal documents with their clients through Box. Currently, Box Apps enable internal users to view and manage files with rich metadata, making it easy to organize and automate workflows. However, clients cannot access these metadata views directly. Customers should have the ability to view this structure and even work with it to launch automations and processes, as well as search their documents more easily.11 votes -
Don't make Box AI the default
Please make it possible for users to specify their own preferred default pane in the Preview sidebar, and allow users to remove Box AI from the options. I don't want to use Box AI at all, for anything. I want to be able to choose Activity as the default pane.

We would like to see Box Hubs have a separate shared link permission setting
Currently, Hub shared links can be allowed from “Enterprise Setting” > “Content & Sharing”, but with the current settings, if Hub shared links are disabled, general folder and file shared links will also be restricted, which is very inconvenient.
Therefore, please consider making the shared link setting of the Hub independent, and allow shared links to be allowed for each individual Hub.【日本語】
現在Hubの共有リンクは、「管理コンソール」＞「コンテンツと共有」から許可できますが、現在の設定値ではHubの共有リンクを禁止すると、通常のフォルダとファイルの共有リンクにも制限がかかってしまい非常に不便です。
