Enable Box AI to Analyze and Generate Insights from Comments in Activity Feed
Many users rely heavily on Box comments for collaboration and knowledge sharing. It would be extremely valuable if Box AI could process comments—summarize discussions, extract insights, and generate relevant content based on comment threads. Other chat platforms now leverage generative AI to distill conversation history, provide summaries, and surface actionable insights, all of which greatly enhance productivity.
I would love to see Box AI extend its capabilities to include comment threads in the Activity feed, allowing users to gain more value from collaborative discussions directly within Box. Thank you for considering this enhancement!

I would love to be able to direct Box Drive to any drive connected to my computer.
Have the option to choose where Box Drive syncs from not just where it is installed. Instead of the startup drive as default Box Drive location, having the option to choose any drive internal or external drive would be great.

Add a parameter for Box Sign API to keep existing fields when using Box sign template
[Background]
We'd like to use Box Sign API to create a signature request by Sign template.
We want to use the existing template and replace the file to another file, but if we do so by Box API, the existing signature fields would disappear.
*This happens because there are no parameter in Box Sign API corresponding to "Keep Existing Fields" at Box Web.[Request]
Please add a parameter to keep existing fields for Box Sign API when using an existing Box sign template.

Ability to invite external unmanaged users into Box Apps
We are requesting a new feature that allows external (unmanaged) users to be invited into Box Apps.
Use Case Example:
A law firm wants to share categorized legal documents with their clients through Box. Currently, Box Apps enable internal users to view and manage files with rich metadata, making it easy to organize and automate workflows. However, clients cannot access these metadata views directly. Customers should have the ability to view this structure and even work with it to launch automations and processes, as well as search their documents more easily.9 votes -
Don't make Box AI the default
Please make it possible for users to specify their own preferred default pane in the Preview sidebar, and allow users to remove Box AI from the options. I don't want to use Box AI at all, for anything. I want to be able to choose Activity as the default pane.

Restrict Use of AI by External Collaborators
Currently an external collaborator can run a query on collaborated content if both enterprises have AI enabled (plus a few other restrictions). Create a path, potentially via Shield, to disable the ability to query externally.

Matching display with Box Notes shared link settings
If the Admin Console [Shared Link Permissions] is set to type "File: Can view and download" and type "Box Notes: Can view and edit",

We would like to customize and set the default values for digital watermarks.
Currently, in the admin console, you can only choose to enable or disable the digital watermark feature, and customization has to be done by users for each file or folder.
If we could set a predetermined digital watermark for the organization, it would be convenient as users wouldn't have to spend time on it, and administrators wouldn't need to check for compliance with the rules.

現在、管理コンソールでは電子すかしの機能を有効にするか無効にするかの選択のみで、電子すかしのカスタマイズ機能はファイルやフォルダごとにそれぞれユーザーが設定する必要があります。
組織として決まった電子すかしを設定できたら、ユーザーが手間をかけることなく、管理者もルールに準拠しているか確認する必要がないので便利です。

In the Enterprise settings for device protection, add the global IP address used during client connection to the device trust requirements.
I would like to add the global IP address that the client connects to as a target in the device trust requirements of the policies that can be set in the Enterprise settings for device protection. Currently, it is possible to apply for allowed IP addresses individually on a tenant basis, but it is not feasible to respond appropriately each time. By making it possible to set this as an item in this function, it will be possible to respond quickly and control the target in a limited manner, thereby improving operational management convenience and enhancing security. Please relax the recommended number of collaboration users per item
We would like the recommended number of collaboration users per item to be relaxed.

I would like the "Shared Link Report" to display information about the issuer of the shared link
Currently, the "Shared Link Report" does not output information about the issuer of a shared link, so you will need to check this in the "User Activity Report."
It is very inconvenient to have to print out two reports each time, so we would like to request an improvement to the functionality so that information about the issuer of the shared link is also displayed in the "Shared Link Report."

Change the Send From Email
Have the ability to send from another email, so instead of sending a contract from a specific user, i can send from a company email instead. Additionally we have multiple emails we send contracts from so i would like to select which email to send as.
These are branded so its important its coming from the correct brand.

Link Box sign requests
The ability to link several Sign Requests as one. When scanning a form a user needs to authenticate that the scan is a true copy and there is no errors. if there is an error e.g. page ten was crumpled and not readable then it has to be rescanned. FDA demand all sign requests are kept. even ones that failed. today there is not way to link different sign requests

In the 2FA options there are options for i) TOTP ii) TOTP, Email, SMS - however there is not an option for just email only. Can this option be added for Email only

Want to display to users the number of times BoxAI can be used for free.

Each user can use Box AI up to 20 times without incurring additional charges, but it is not possible to know how much they are currently using it.

Show who has locked a file in Box Drive
In the Webapp you are able to see who has locked a file, in Drive you cannot see this unless you navigate to the web. Heavy Drive users/customers require this information in the Drive UI
