Ability to download comments and print comments
Would like the ability to download and/or print comments associated with a file. Perhaps via additional selections to "Download Comments" and "Print w/Comments".
I understand downloading comments may need to be a separate file as the content could be in various application types and comments are not created in that document type. Printed files convert to PDF so it would be great if the comments could be converted to PDF and added directly to the printed file.

Tag within Document Viewer
Currently, you can only Tag a document when viewing list of files and folders. It would be nice if could Tag document within Box's Document Viewer, likely in the 'Activity' pane where see Add Task and Comments.
Example, when click on pdf document hyperlink to which brings up pdf document's contents within browser, to be able to Tag directly here.

Ability to zip/unzip large files from within Box so transport to/from Box isn't a huge bandwidth or time-consuming issue.
Many folks are requesting or have requested the ability to zip/unzip large files from within Box and being able to view them from within Box so transport to/from Box isn't a huge bandwidth or time-consuming issue. Zipping large files is a must-have in these days of high-resolution images and A/V technology.

Shared Links Expiration and Turn Off
Create the ability exist to mass update shared link expiration dates and/or turn off the shared links, using folder and file ids.

Automatic Locking of Documents
It would really help our productivity to have all documents automatically lock when a user opens the file, other users that then open the document at the same time are notified they are opening a read only version since the document is currently opened by "insert user name". The file would then automatically unlock when the original user exits the file. Very similar to how Microsoft handles this with shared drives.

Box CLI: Don't require "type" on box trash:get.
The standard box files:get command does not require a type (so you can actually pull the type by using the get.
The Trash version of this command requires a type. This means that you have to basically try all three types in order to know which restore command to use (or any other trash command). If you could simply "get" the type, it would make things much easier, and more consistent.1 vote -
Overlay menu on left obscures window in Safari
The overlay menu that appears on the left side of the web page obscures the main Box window and cannot be removed. This happens when you are NOT viewing the Safari Sidebar. If you show the Safari Sidebar, the Box overlay menu does not obscure the web page.

Increase the 10,000 Limit for Groups
Currently if you create more than 10,000 groups, the groups at the bottom of the list alphabetically cannot be searched for when creating a collaboration.

Box for outlook should insert link at cursor location, not at the bottom of the email
The new "Box for Outlook" attaches an image and link to the specified file at the bottom of the email (perhaps below the user's signature). Some people would prefer to 'just have the link' or to put the link inline with the flow of the email text. Could this be added as a feature /option for the app?

It would be nice if the "Updated" column showed a time, not just a date, stamp
We update our files so frequently that the date stamp is not sufficient; we need a time stamp. Thank you!

Display the error message immediately when admin console reports(Folders & Files) failed to export.
When admin console reports failed to export due to limitations(10 million item limitation etc), users can't immediately notice the failure.

Right now, I can only copy and paste some of them, but for others, while I can read them, I can't click on the text to copy and paste (the annotation kind of drops from view). Granular control of API calls within UI elements
Mitie use Box platform to surface payslips to their employees. For this they use a Box UI element. As they analyse their API consumption they feel that the UI elements are using a lot of API calls - more than planned for and they are worried this will impact the price of their engagement come renewal. One thing in particular they have noticed is that when a user previews a document, the UI elements pre-fetches what looks like the next five documents, presumably for performance reasons. Share Links report w/ direct link column
Current reporting allows admins to export a snapshot of all 'shared links' but it does not show the 'direct links' to those files. Customers who use direct links are not able to pull a report showing the file name, direct link and other information about the file. Reporting on direct links can also keep the admin aware of direct linked files that are public facing that might be a security issue.

Email notification for new reports available in My Box Reports Folder
Please add a new feature to enable email notifications when Box reports I request becomes available in My Box Reports folder. I find that some reports may take several hours to run, specifically the Files and Folders report, and I need to constantly check refreshing the page to see if the report has been uploaded.

The current upload limit for the email listener in Box is 50MB. There should be options to increase.
