Default sort order to updated descending
- Trash default sort is Name Ascending – Can we get this changed to Updated descending
- In any view, when clicking the Updated column, can we get the first click to be Descending instead of Ascending.

File Request Action in Box Relay
A file request action on Folder in Relay that could automate generation of the File Request link and email it to a specified email address. Supporting automation of uploads from individuals without Box accounts.
9 votesAn integration between File Request and Relay was delivered this year. At the moment this programmatic generation of a link can be achieved with an API. An outcome type in Relay to generate a FR link is not yet planned.

Provide Notification when user is removed as a collaborator
Right now, users do not get a notification when they are removed as a collaborator from a folder. This can cause confusion as this could be caused by a number reasons (ie deletions, inactive users), and results in admin assistance to dive in to what may have occurred. Users do get a notification when they are added to a folder, so they should also get one when they are removed from a folder as well

Select from favourites when copying or moving
I move and copy files to and from favourite folders a lot. Each time I do, I have to navigate through the hierarchy to find the right folder. It would be good if you could select from your favourites when moving or copying (as well as allowing full navigation). This would be especially useful to those of us who work on our own instance of Box, but also with collaborators.

Ability to select a Box folder by dragging and dropping in Box for Slack
With the current design of Box for Slack, user cannot select a Box file without clicking on the upload button. User wants to select a Box folder by dragging and dropping.

More accurate presentation on progress bar of preview
Preview of a large file can take long time for rendering, and currently progress bar goes from 0 to 90% quite quickly, but never progresses from that point. This is misleading and we want progress bar to give more accurate presentation on how much longer we need to wait for preview to be loaded.

The ability to jump to folder directly when editing "Shared Folders" from "Groups" in admin console
As-is : Groups -> Shared Folders -Edit-> Unclickable for folder name

Remove multiple collaborators from folders
Box currently does not have a way to remove multiple collaborators at bulk.
Currently, admin needs to manually remove multiple users by opening the appropriate folder and removing users one at a time.Suggestion can also apply to removing collaborators from multiple folders.

Auto Expiration Collaborations - allowing for Editors to extend
Similar to how an editor can extend a shared link's expiration, it would be great if that functionality worked with extending the expiration for collaborations.

SQ1
I purchased a new Microsoft Surface Pro X and it uses a Microsoft SQ1 processor. Box Drive currently does not work with this processor. As we are rolling out these Surface Pro X's with our company it would be great to get box drive to work with the new SQ1 processor.

Request to suppress collaborator invitation emails.
When needing to invite a single user into multiple files and subfolders within a given folder, but not into all files in that specific folder, we'd like to see a way to suppress the email notifications that are automatically sent to that user each time the collaborator invitation is sent.
Currently there is no way to choose to not have the email notifications go out and then it inundates the user's inbox.

Create dormant to inactive/disabled user workflow
Provide a report/feature in the admin console where admin can set a max duration a user can be without logging in to Box and then the account is set to inactive/disabled in the enterprise. This is something that is causing issue with cyber security when users have not logged in for a long time but account is still active/available.

Data report (export) from Lite or Individual accounts
Provide users who have an individual (Lite) account with the ability to export a report on data stored and data collaboration - as per a business account.

Option to have approval process for sharing a folder or file.
In some folders, you want to allow, shared links, but would like to have some management oversight of this process. It would be beneficial at a parent folder level (and therefore cascading to all children folder) to have the option to "request to share file" in addition to the other functions related to restricting link creation or collaborator invitation.
Instead of relying on the "appropriate party" to be configured to receive notifications that an item has been shared, this would allow them to be ahead of the curve before a share is actually created.1 vote
