Add ability to get a user's collaborations via API
Since there is a function to get a list of invitations to the group, I want to provide the same to the users.
Like,
https://api.box.com/2.0/users/:user_id/collaborations4 votesWe don’t currently plan to provide such an API, however please leave a comment if you have more information about how this would be used. In the interim, you can identify all of a user’s collaborations by requesting items in the user’s root folder (id = 0) and filtering out those where the owned_by user is the current user. This would require an additional API call for each item to get the collaboration id, but if you are only interested in knowing which items re collaborated versus owned by the user, it may be sufficient for your purposes.

Report on contents with tags
Would like the ability to create reports for content with tags. To ensure that the tags are correctly assigned, the BOX administrator would want to check them regularly.

Add support for File name sensitivity
Box currently doesn’t support the notion of file sensitive file and directory names like Linux does, so backups to Box, for example with rclone, lose similarly named files that only vary in case.
For example, you can only have File1.txt and file1.txt, but no both in Box.
In comparison, there’s no such limitation in Google Drive and Linux file systems, for example.
Please add support for file name sensitivity.

Disable background sync of Box Drive (for throttled or metered connections)
See below for link and post in the Box Community.
This feature would allow background syncing to be turned off for Box Drive. Because MFO and caching are stored in a "container" that is only available while Box Drive is running - there is no way to access MFO files while connected to a bandwidth limited internet connection. You either are forced to background sync or not have access to your MFO files.
Disable Box Drive background syncing for low bandwidth connections
I've (mostly) adapted to using Box Drive instead of Box Sync. But a key feature that was lost is the ability to NOT SYNC folders that are marked for offline use.
Because of the way the offline/cache is stored, the Box Drive MUST be running in order to access those folders.
If you are working in a throttled/limited bandwidth environment, this can be problematic.
For example - on inflight Wifi - if you have a synced folder that you are making many (even small) modifications to, Drive will blithely try to update all of those files - hogging bandwidth. Then GoGo decides you are using too much bandwidth and throttles you - even on other apps. Or I am using my phone's hotspot and a coworker drops a HUGE InDesign file into an offline sync folder - chewing through my data plan.
Unless there is some secret that I haven't discovered, I'm in a catch 22. I can shut down Drive - but then I lose access to my offline files. If I leave it running, it hogs the bandwidth. (With Sync, I could kill the sync app and all my local files were fully accessible and editable. Get to the hotel and re-enable Sync and away it goes, matching everything up. Dropbox was even better - I could run a macro based on WIFI SSID name and issue a command line to enable or disable sync.)
Best I've managed to do so far is use an app like "Little Snitch" to choke a particular apps access to the TCP/IP stack and fool drive into thinking I wasn't connected to the internet.
Anyone else have a better solution?

Obtaining hyperlink address after installing Box for Office
In order to download an excel file saved through Box, you need to click the link, sign on with username and pw and in my company also a push message to your cell phone. After installation of Box for Office after you open the file once there is a shortcut saved under Recent Files. If you click the hyperlink created under Recent Files, you can download the file without the credentials. I would like to open the file through the hyperlink, copy and paste what I need and close the file through VBA but I cannot figure out how to get the address behind the shortcut hyperlink. Right click is disabled. Any one had any luck with this?

Make API rate limits more sophisticated, especially for large enterprises
When working with a Box Enterprise that has tens of thousands of users, scripts designed to do things like user information syncing, group syncing, or user provisioning/deprovisioning often run into real issues with the Box API rate limits.
Some calls (e.g. downloading or uploading a file) are clearly significantly more resource-intensive than others (e.g. getting a user’s aliases). The method Google has implemented for the Gmail API (see https://developers.google.com/gmail/api/v1/reference/quota) seems like a really great way to balance the need to protect the back-end systems against the need for increased performance for less-intensive calls. It would be nice if Box implemented a similar model.

Move/Copy Functionality Enhancement
The Move / Copy function on Box currently does not let you replace an existing document with the same name in the same folder. It either adds a (#) to the end of the document name (via Copy) OR throws and error (via Move). I would like to be given the option to replace, or update via versioning, the existing document stored in the folder where I am uploading this document to.

Allow reorganization of received collaborated folders
I would like to request that all users are allowed, as non-folder owners, to place shared folders inside non-shared folders. This allows for better organization for users and therefore an overall better user experience. All other cloud services that I am a part of allow this.
Example:
I own the folders "fruit" and "orange." Someone else owns the folder "apple" and shares it with me. Currently, I cannot place the folder "apple" inside of my "fruit" folder. I would like to request this is changed.Currently, Box permissions (and as it was explained to me, security) does not allow it. However, my master folder organization is all messed up in this scenario, both because I have to have two folders related to the concept of fruit, and because sometimes instead of naming a folder "apple" a colleague might name it "Sam's apple" and further take apart sense making about how folders are organized.

Ability to find a file or folder using just the ID.
Is Box working on an easier tool to lookup files and folders based off of ID?
I'd like to suggest a box tool where we can find the file and folder using just the ID. Having to run a 40+ min report on all of our files and folders anytime a user asks is very time consuming. I get 5+ requests a day.

Collaboration List
Users show up twice in Collaboration list if they invite with the following steps. Steps 1.Folder A -> Folder B 2.User A is collaborated on Folder B. 3.User B then adds User A as a collaborator on Folder A. 4.User A shows up twice in collaboration list. We would like Box to show up once in the scenario because it isn't easy to find properly permission when inviting many collaborator.

Box Drive - Add Support for .pst Files
While .pst files are visible from Box's web client, they are not visible from Box Drive. This results in an inability to connect .pst files from Box to Outlook, and is preventing us from rolling out Box across our enterprise.

Make it more obvious that there are multiple pages of documents
Lists of files and folders may continue onto more than one page. Make the "2 of 2" at the bottom of the list very large and explicitly add a "See more" label next to the pagination. It is far too easy to not notice that there is more than one page of files, which leads to quality isssues.

Enhance page view for Relays in new UI
When accessing Relay in the new UI, not all Relay workflows incrementally load nor are there pages to navigate through to view all workflows. I would like the ability to see all relays on one or multiple pages without using text filters.
