Version History (Read- only)
We need a way to copy content, while retaining file version history, yet allow us to set the collaborators to “Read Only” and change the shared links to “Read Only” in a new location folder. We need this for historical purposes and have the original structure in a point in time snap shot. We still want the users to read from it but have no ability to change anything. This way they can cleanup items in the original folder structure without affecting the point in time copy. We need the version history to be copied as well.

Drag-and-drop file uploads in any portion of white space in a given folder
Files that are dragged from computer to browser window are not successfully uploaded to Box Drive folders unless they are dragged atop already existing files. Would you be able to expand the drag-and-drop's "catch region" to include all of the Box Drive folders' white space in a browser window? Thank you!

Metrics for tracking most oft-accessed files on a Box Drive shared among a team, department, etc.
OneDrive's tallying of the number of times particular files are accessed and by whom helped direct organization efforts for cloud storage and understand staff behavior. The Box Drive does not have a similar quantitative feature, as far as I know. Possible to create such a feature, to track who, when, and how often particular files and folders are used by staff permitted access? Thank you!

Add an admin console control to be able to turn on or off auto-accepting collaboration invitations
Currently the ability to turn on or off Auto-Accepting Collaboration Invitations is only available from the user's settings (User Settings > Account Settings > Sharing). This would enable organizations to turn off auto-accept invitations on an instance-wide level.

Allow non-admin users to call 'Get Enterprise Users API'.
I want to develop a program that provides an auto-completion feature that displays the names of enterprise users.
However, the current "Get Enterprise Users API" could only be called by co-admins.
I also want to be able to call from other than co-admin.By the way, "Get Groups API" could be called from other than co-admins by providing the filter.
I think there is a contradiction in this specification.2 votes -
Nesting Box Notes into Sub Folders
This seems very simple. Just one level of subfolder nesting would help out tremendously!

Lock/unlock sub-folders at will
Product enhancement request: Create one main link to access a folder and its sub-folders, yet block some sub-folders from being downloaded. Benefit to user is that I can load all files at once, yet allow access only when I choose to. I can provide the link to users once. This saves me time and reduces confusion. An example of how this is being used is for a product launch where some files have been approved for distribution and the others have not yet, but will be “released” later in the week.
Example:
· Create Folder 1
· Underneath is sub-folders A-E. Each have files. Desire is to “release” or make available sub-folders at different times, yet only give users one link (to one folder, Folder 1)
o Make sub-folders A, C, and E available for download on Monday
o Make sub-folders B, D available for download on WednesdayProduct enhancement request: Create one main link to access a folder and its sub-folders, yet block some sub-folders from being downloaded. Ability to see activities tied to pinpoints on the Geographic Activities page.
The admin console shows a worldwide map of activities, and lists number of activities by location. It would be very helpful to be able to get more information on the activity (file/user/etc.) as it will help ensure network is secure. (e.g.: should I be asking: "Is an employee on vacation in Kuala Lumpur, using a VPN, or is something else going on.)

Asign tasks in Office documents (Word, Powerpoint...)
I'm new to BOX (coming off business based on Google Platform) and have a few tips that would be awesome to have.
This is about collaborating better in teams and working on the document together.
Is there a chance to higlight a text in the Word/ Powerpoint - and asign that highlighted part to a team member? So on 1 slide I could potentially asign parts to different people to work on...
Thank you, Michael

Make file type icon easily visible to left of file name. Folders, too.
File type icon to left of file name overshadowed by status icon (cloud, green check).

It will be great if we can connect folder action between multiple flows.
When you have in the first flow a folder action (copy, move or create), you won't be able to reference the folder in a seconf flow if you want to take action if the task that has been rejected.
I have created a couple of Relay Flow (Contract Management and HR Onboarding) during the flow I create folder to collect more information from either a vendor a new onboard person, but when the flow get rejected and could not create a rejection flow (Second flow) because could not take action on a folder.
This could be important when we will like to have more than one document in the flow and could open a bunch of other use cases.

Integrate with SEISMIC
If Seismic is the new go-to platform for documents, Box should be able to integrate with Seismic. Currently posting and editing and tagging are done redundantly in both places. Further, there are other issues with assets being modified, expired, file name changes, etc.

expired in value greater than 3600
I see the sample response for refresh token, it shows "expires_in": 3964,
Which I thought it would be 3600 as the max value.
Is it a mistake or it can be any value?1 vote -
Short cut link for the file in Box Drive should be available
Windows shortcut link for the file in Box Drive is broken if the BoxDrive cache is deleted. If the shortcut exists, the file in Box Drive should be opened as far as it exists.

Enhance deprovisioning via API
We want to use the API to see who’s collaborating with someone who’s been rolled out of the university, as part of deproviosing script. Then we want to look up collaborations of user being deprovisioned and break all collaborations when a user is rolled out

Box user activity reports to filter out downloads processed by CASB
Whenever we run user activity report for downloads, since we have a CASB configured there are thousands of downloads being done by it and it is a bit of a hassle having to filter out 90% of the report to be able to get to the information that is needed.
