Limit the amount of data a user can delete
There have been repeated incidents where users accidentally delete large amounts of data from Box Drive. Each time, administrators are required to restore the data.
However, administrators cannot restore the data until the deletion process is fully completed, and even then, the restoration takes as much time as the deletion, which disrupts business operations.We would like to set an upper limit on the amount of data that users (other than Box administrators and co-administrators) can delete at one time, in order to prevent users from accidentally deleting large amounts of data.

form submission export
Box forms submissions should be available via export/report to show each submission and it's form responses, as well as info about the submission (who was it by, when, etc.). This would help with tracking specific forms and reflect functionality with similar products.

New shortcuts to AI in Box Notes
A new shortcut for Box AI for Box Notes has been released to display the AI prompt field when you enter a space at the beginning of a line in Box Notes.

Request to Change Message Sending Shortcut in Box AI
I would like Box AI to use the Enter key for line breaks and Ctrl+Enter for sending messages.
Currently, in Box AI, pressing Enter immediately sends the message, which sometimes causes messages to be sent unintentionally while still being written.
Please make it possible to configure sending with Ctrl+Enter, either as an optional setting or as the default behavior

Sync Box to an external hard drive
This should go without saying, but internal hard disks are far too small for cloud storage to sync, especially when using the cloud storage for large files such as video editing. We have several Terabytes of data on ours that we access all the time, as a group of editors. It's an absolute dealbreaker that we're forced to use the default location of the local drive to sync files using Box Desktop, and we would like the option of choosing an external hard drive or even a secondary internal drive to sync to. Dropbox, iCloud, OneDrive, and Google Drive all have these options, albeit some are quite complicated to activate, but we're already settled on Box here so we'd like to not have to move to one of those to continue service.

I would like to be able to customzie the content preview window side bar
Once Box AI is enabled it takes the top spot as the default sidebar view in the content preview window. Some of my users would like the Activity Tab to load first, as they depend on seeing comments. Being able to customize the sidebar icons would be great

Box Seamless Login Permission Dialog Control. /Boxシームレスログイン許可ダイアログ制御
With the Box for Office co-authoring feature enabled for the entire tenant, users switch between co-authoring and individual editing depending on their use of macros or eco-solutions.
However, following the introduction of the seamless login feature, a screen requesting Box access permission appears every time a file is edited, even for users utilizing individual editing.
To prevent this display, administrators must individually disable the setting from the admin console for users who do not use co-authoring, which increases the burden on administrators.
Therefore, we would like the ability to select whether to show or hide the Box access screen associated with the introduction of the seamless login feature.[和訳]

Ability for end users (non admins) to adjust metadata
As Box is evolving more into metadata driven workflows for digital asset library use cases, we need the ability for end users (non admins) to be able to adjust metadata templates specific to their use case or business unit. For example, we'd like to have a champion from Marketing be able to adjust JUST the metadata templates specific to their group, not any metadata templates related to Legal or Sales.

Support Copilot Integration with Multiple Box Environments under a Single Microsoft Tenant
Many enterprises operate under a structure where a single Microsoft tenant is shared, while Box environments are separated by legal entity.
With the current limitation that Copilot × Box integration is restricted to a 1:1 relationship, it is difficult to achieve both group-wide Copilot adoption and proper information governance.
Enabling secure integration with multiple Box environments while maintaining a single Microsoft tenant would unlock significant value, including group-wide AI utilization, greater flexibility for M&A and organizational restructuring, and the avoidance of unnecessary Box environment consolidation or Microsoft tenant separation.＜日本語＞

I want to open Box Notes in view-only mode
Currently, in Box Notes, it is possible to switch to view-only mode by changing "/notes/" in the URL to "/file/", but this method is not intuitive for users.
Because it is not easy to open notes in view-only mode, users often accidentally edit the notes. We would like to prevent this from happening.
We would like an option to select view-only mode when opening Box Notes from the beginning. It would also be more convenient if it were possible to bookmark Box Notes in view-only mode.

Allow scheduling of Folder Insights Reports
The ability to schedule the Folder Insights reports (Collaborations | Folder Activity | Shared Links) would open up greater reporting capability and remove manual work in generating these reports.
This is especially beneficial in enterprises where multiple agencies' content is stored, with different agencies having different reporting requirements (i.e. weekly auditing of external collaborators on their content)

Enhancing View Visibility with Text and Background Customization
I received feedback from a customer regarding improving visibility within views.
They specifically requested the following enhancements:
・Ability to adjust text size
・Ability to change text color
・Expanded background color palette, including darker color optionsThese improvements would allow users to better tailor the interface to their preferences and working environments (e.g., long working hours or dark mode setups).
In views with a high density of information, visibility directly impacts productivity, so we believe this would be a valuable enhancement.

Select multiple folders as the location filter for Views in Box Apps
I would like the ability to select multiple folders as the location filter for Views in Box Apps. For example, I may have a project folder with a metadata template cascading to all subfolders, but I only want to see content from 2 out of the 3 subfolders in the View.

Enable Box AI (Ask, Extract, Hubs, Agents) to ingest and analyze VTT (.vtt / WebVTT) files.Reasons:
VTT is the default transcript format for Zoom and Microsoft Teams, so a massive volume of VTT files is already stored in Box.
Transcripts contain high-value data (decisions, action items, customer voice, Q&A), but Box AI currently cannot read them at all.
Leaving this data unusable is a major lost opportunity for Box AI's value.Nice to have:

Allow Box AI for Hubs to scope responses to the current Hub page or selected Hub pages
We would like Box AI for Hubs to support scoping AI responses not only to the entire Hub, but also to the current Hub page or selected Hub pages/subpages.
Box AI for Hubs is very useful because users can ask questions across the content in a Hub. However, when a Hub is organized into multiple pages by department, business process, project, topic, or chapter, users often want to ask questions only about the content on the page they are currently viewing.
Example use cases:
・Ask questions only against the “Travel Policy” page in an internal policy Hub
・Summarize only the “Security Training” page in an onboarding Hub
・Extract action items only from the files listed on a “Meeting Notes” page in a project Hub
・Generate an FAQ only from the files listed on a specific department page in an employee portal HubAlthough users can narrow the reference content by adding specific sources, it is not practical for end users to manually select each file or folder every time, especially when a Hub page already organizes the relevant files and folders for them. Since Hub pages and subpages are part of the Hub’s information architecture, it would be much more intuitive if that structure could also be used as the AI scope.
Requested behavior:
・When launching Box AI for Hubs, users can choose a scope such as “This page only,” “Selected pages,” or “Entire Hub”
・The current Hub page can be used as the AI context, including files, folders, links, and text blocks placed on that page
・Users can select multiple Hub pages/subpages as the AI context
・Citations and source references are limited to the selected page scope
・Existing Box permissions, Hub permissions, Shield classifications, and AI access controls continue to be fully respectedThis would make Box AI for Hubs much more useful for large knowledge portals. It would help users get more accurate and relevant answers by narrowing the AI context to the part of the Hub they are actually working with.

Make folder retention policies non-removable (or always visible) to Editors
Today, Editors can remove the visible retention policy from a file or folder’s details panel, even though the underlying non-modifiable retention policy remains active in the background. This means that after an Editor removes the visible policy, there is no indication in the UI that retention still applies, which makes it appear as though the content is not under retention at all.
This behavior causes confusion for end users and admins, and makes it harder to support clear records management and compliance because enforced retention is not transparently visible in the interface.
Feature request
Please provide one or more of the following options:
-An option so Editors cannot remove the visible retention policy from files and folders (only Admins or users with Retention permissions can).
-If Editors can “remove” it, the UI should still clearly indicate that the item is under an enterprise retention policy (for example, a non-removable badge, icon, or message in the details panel).
-An admin-level configuration that controls whether retention policies are removable or always displayed when they apply.Implementing this would make retention behavior more transparent, reduce user confusion, and better support compliance needs.

Display the count of all workflows from "Relay" in the management console
It is assumed that administrators will quantitatively understand the usage of Relay within their company and develop operational policies and improvement plans. To do this, it is necessary to check the quantitative indicator of how much Box Relay is being used across the entire tenant.
