Default Setting: Invisible Collaborator List for External Users
Exposing the list of users collaborating on a folder to users from other companies could lead to a personal information leak. In the future, we would like to make the collaborator list invisible to users outside the company by default. We hope that this will be improved.

Box Sign Checkbox to enable Granular and Specific Reporting for Box Sign
In the Box Sign feature, we would like an option (possibly check Box) to determine what type of document is being sent for signature. E.g. Contract, HR Doc, Victim Statement.
We would then like this information to be available in reporting. So we can report how many Contracts have been signed during this period, how many Victim Statements have been sign in this period etc.
Thank you

waterfall
I would like to add or enhance to the waterfall folder permission settings
As it stands today due to waterfall permission, anyone who has access on the parent folder will have access to all the subfolder inside it and currently.
I would like to please request that there be an option that we be able to create sub folders or parallel folders where we can edit the viewers to just our office internally. Reason being is sometimes when we are in the middle of projects our internal office needs to colloborate or do other things that we don't necessarily want or need the client seeing. And Yes I understand we can create a folder outside of the shared folder but that is not what I am hoping to accomplish. Hope there are others out there who feel the same!I would like to add or enhance to the waterfall folder permission settings

Give me better tools for managing external users. More search options, different sorts and ability to do mass operations.
When you have a large number of external users, you find it cumbersome to manage. It would be helpful to have better ways to search for users and ways to edit existing external users. Also, adding expiration dates to their access would be helpful.

Box Sign to provide multiple languages in the application
For Sign to provide multiple languages natively in the application, rather that having to use a translator to send multi-language requests.
This would help in international markets where specifics languages are being used and require the form to be run through a translator.

Box Relay Outcome for applying current date upon a file upload
Currently with Box Relay and a Metadata date field you can set a date to be applied upon a file or folder upload. However, you can not select 'current date'. It will only apply a date that you have selected at the time of crafting the relay. It would be great to have an automation to set a date based on when the file was uploaded to Box.

Business Tier Benefits for Single Users
How about giving single-user members access to Business-level subscription benefits in their own additional tier? I am shocked that the Business-level is only available to companies with 3+ employees. I very much want the Business-level benefits of granting "view/upload-only access" to people I invite to collaborate, and the additional space would also be great. However, I will ALWAYS remain a single-member LLC. It's not right. I'm willing to pay more, but that is a LOT more when I'm still one person.

Ability to share note with "view and comment" mode
As of today (2024-07-01), BoxNotes allow to share a link with either "edit" capabilities (you can edit everything) or "read-only" capabilities (you can only view). I'd be lovely to have a step in-between, that allows the person with the link to leave comments on the content but without the ability to modify it.
(I know it might be difficult to do, as it's probably tied to Box sharing capabilities)1 vote -
User setting - View group names
We demand a change of the screen at the time of user settings.
After updating to the new UI, we cannot see the back of the group name when adding a user to the group.
We want the window to be wider or scrollable.2 votes -
Checking user activity or insight user's usage easier
Hi,
It would be great if it could be displayed with one click from who's iPad usage, Box admin console, or dashboard. And also would be great if there was an option to delete from the trash(eternity deletion) can when checking the operation items in the user activity report.
Can be checking only "move to trash".
And more, Usage of Annotation & Comment by user insights.2 votes -
Requirements to set external users as target of tasks and notification in Box Relay
(Japanese follows English)
We detected a problem that Box Relay owner can't set external users as target of tasks and notification automatically sent by relay.
In this case, the external user had been invited not by the relay-owner, but by another user.
According to the article below, relay-owner need to invite external users to set them as target.<article>
https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043695134-Box-Relay-FAQSome users are saying that this should be fixed because users who manage collaborator are not always same as users who manages relay.
Or, is it possible to allow multiple users to share the original relay (not templates).Box Relay
Yours sincerely,

Support more than two most recent web browser versions
I would like the Box to support web browsers of more than the latest two versions.
Although I certainly do not want to use legacy versions of years ago, it would be realistic to say versions less than one months old for instance should be supported.
Whilst a new version of Microsoft Edge is released every few days, the Box requirement of the latest two versions is a little too onerous.1 vote -
Comments in Box Notes
When entering comments in boxNote, we would like it to be clear which part the comment pertains to. (Imagine adding comments with the relevant section highlighted, similar to using a marker.)

Fix missing Access-Control-Allow-Origin header for CORS 401 requests
This relates to the upload files API endpoint (https://developer.box.com/reference/post-files-content/) but likely applies to other endpoints as well.
When making a call to the above endpoint via CORS, you provide a Bearer token to the request. This token is used to identify the box account to make the request on behalf of, which is then used to return an Access-Control-Allow-Origins header configured to that box account's CORS whitelisted domains.
In the case of a successful request to the above endpoint, the OPTIONS preflight request returns the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header with the request origin set. The actual POST request then returns a 201 with Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *.
In the case of a domain mismatch, I assume the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header would not be present on the POST request, causing a CORS failure.
However, if the token has expired or is otherwise invalid, the API cannot identify which Box account to run as. The OPTIONS request still returns the requesting origin as the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header, however, the POST request returns a 401 status but no Access-Control-Allow-Origin header.I assume the above is because the valid token is used to identify whether the CORS request is from a valid domain. The consequence of this is that browser CORS protection kicks in, and the resulting 401 error cannot be read, even though it originated from a valid domain.
Two proposed solutions:
1. Allow the requestor to specify the account id (or some other way of identifying the box account) in the request. The app can then use this id instead of the token to determine the appropriate CORS domains. This will, of course, allow unauthenticated requests to trigger a CORS check for a particular account. However, this is standard for CORS. The CORS layer is designed to trigger before other parts of the request.
2. Always return the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header for 401 requests, either as "*" or as the requestor origin. This of course basically exempts 401 requests from CORS protection, so should likely be only enabled as an optional setting in your box account. This relates to the upload files API endpoint (https://developer.box.com/reference/post-files-content/) but likely applies to other endpoints as well.

Name Issue
It's way too hard to see the full names of my documents. I don't always care about upload date/size. Sometimes I just want to be able to expand the name section so that I can see the full name. Also, the 'upload date' and 'size' sections are WAY too big given how few characters are used to relay their data.

Warning or reminder on unsuccessful transfers
Box Drive should present a pop up when a new unsuccessful transfer occurs, or there's pending transfers that need to be remediated. As of right now, if a user creates a folder or drag and drop folders and files in a location they're not supposed to (no permission, for example), no warning or error message is given to the user.
The files and folders are then listed in "Unsuccessful Transfer" section on Box Drive, but no reminder is given to the user or any warning that their files are in limbo. They could be working for months without knowing their stuff is not being uploaded, since they expect for Box to "just work" and when no pop up warning is displayed the assumption is that it's all good.

Out of Office Setting for a user profile
People go on holiday, and people have specific notification settings set for themselves.
So it would be a nice feature if a user could have a setting in their profile that redirected their notifications to another BOX user or group for a period that they set in their profile. Also remind them when they login that they have the setting turned on as to not redirect for longer than required.2 votes
