Microsoft Office
When collaborating on Office documents shared via Box we're unable to track changes. It would be nice to have this enabled. Essentially the same functionality as if we were working within Sharepoint.

When setting up classification policies, Omnicell, Inc., would like to be able to create a list of custom terms to exclude, in addition to the existing ability to designate file criteria that will trigger application of a classification label. Just like the storage value of Insights in the Admin console has been corrected, we request that the user details report will also be corrected to display more correct values.
Due to the UI change, the Insights storage in the management console now displays a relatively correct value, but the user details report has not been corrected and is now showing a lower value.

Functionality to embed and directly edit Excel in Box Note.
When a shared link is included in Box Note, it is possible to embed the preview of Box's interface. However, I request the ability to directly edit an Excel file when a shared link for Excel is included.
While Box Note does have a feature to insert tables, it inevitably falls short in functionality compared to Excel. Enabling direct online editing would allow for the maximum utilization of Box Note's collaborative editing capabilities.

I share albums of photos which are hosted in a box folder. It would be great if the page that I share could look like a very nice gallery layout similar to a Google photos album where some photos are bigger and some are smaller. Rather than the UI of a grid layout with filename. To have an option to to view like this when sharing

When a client is viewing on their phone in browser, the video should go full screen when they hold their phone horizontally.
I have clients who view our videos on their phone everyday. I can’t control if they have the box ap or what phone/browser they use. But they should be able to view our videos full screen horizontally. Currently it will go full screen Vertically, but if they move their phone horizontally it is a weird zoomed in look that is not full screen.

Feature to lock the signed document in Box automatically
Hi - Once a document is signed by all parties and when the signed version of document is generated, is there a way in settings we can make the signed document to be locked.
Once the document is signed, I can see the option to lock the document. Wondering if this could be done through settings and not manually every time a document is signed.
There should be a settings on the Box sign, which could make this automatic.

Content Manager should be content-based instead of user-based
Request from healthcare customer: Instead of Content Manager being organized by user, then showing their folder structures and content within that user, Content Manager should be a direct reflection of the organization's folder structure in a tree view that allows the admin to have an understanding of what is in their tenant, root level folders, and then if you click on an individual folder, you can see the corresponding users and content within.

default file request webpage for child folders
We would like to create a default File Request Webpage Template that automatically applies to every folder we create under the parent folder rather than having to Copy the File Request Webpage.
We expect the root parent "Request File Webpage" to be the default for all child folders created new under the parent folder...
We want the exact same layout and fields on every "Request File Webpage" for every child folder under the parent.

Forced pop-up dialog with input fields for the download
There should be a way to force a user to enter e.g. name or e.g. order number (as some kind of log entry) when downloading a file via a public link.

Have and or logic to drive an outcome in Relay based on metadata values
Having the ability to say if a metadata value = abc then create a folder with a standard naming convention derived from a metadata template, if not do not create a folder.

Box Status site improvement
Adding status of each region on Box Status site(https://status.box.com/) , because currently an outage impacting only users in a specific zone/region doesn’t appear on the status site. (e.g. customers who are in Asia region are unable to download/upload/preview.)
Clarifying the definition of impact. "Incident Response and Communications" article (https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697394-Our-Approach-to-Incident-Response-and-Communications) has the guideline of customer impact. However, definitions and examples of each category are not clear enough.

In the Excel preview screen, pressing left and right ([←] and [→]) on the keyboard scrolls the file if a cell is already selected.
However, when the preview screen is open and no cells are selected, it switches to another file.It is confusing for users that the keyboard behaves differently depending on the file and cell selection status. We request the ability to change settings to prevent file switching.

Can't insert video from the file in PowerPoint Online in Box
It is currently impossible to insert a video from the local file in PowerPoint Online via Box.
The only options are "Insert from stock video" and "Insert online video".
However, this feature is present in native Microsoft 365 PowerPoint Online in SharePoint/OneDrive.The feature set in Office Online apps should be the same in Box and MS. Otherwise, MS Office Online in Box can't completely replace SharePoint.

Business Goal:
A Collection provides the users the ability to view files from different locations across BOX in a single view, it would be great to provide them the ability to manage the files there as well,Currently they can right-click and download the files, but no more than that.
Giving them the ability to manage them, i.e. move, copy and share the entire collection would be a massive positive change within the BOX platform extending the functionality to better manage the content.

Notification that someone you assigned a Task did not complete it by the deadline you set
Often I assign Tasks with deadlines. While the person receiving the task gets notifications that the deadline is approaching, I do not get a notification if they did not complete the Task on time.
This would be extremely helpful to know that Tasks have not been completed so we can follow up.4 votes
