UI alert on invite message when character limit is exceeded
It is VERY annoying to write a nice detailed note to the person you are inviting and then have it just disappear bc the character limit has been exceeded. Box should either not allow you to exceed the character limit, or at least have it refuse to send the invite but not completely delete everything you have just written!!!

Restrict Number of users in Group
I would like the option to restrict the number of users in a group.
The reason is each department has a cap to how many users they can register and if we can stop other admin adding more than they are allowed, it would make the management easier.6 votes -
Box uses low contrast fonts which make reading messages difficult
Emails from Box render with a grey font against a grey background in Outlook. Emails are unreadable.
Fonts on the website are low contrast making it hard to read.

I would like to see 4 hours added to the session duration section.
【Current Specifications】
In the current pull-down menu for session duration, there are only 8 hours after 2 hours.【background】
We feel that the current 2 hours is too short and 8 hours is too long.
We would like to increase the number of items for session duration to better meet the needs of users.(日本語)

Add the optional message text on Shared Link Email to the event in the API
When a user clicks the email button the Share Link screen they have the ability to enter an optional message to the person they are sending the link too. This optional message is not captured anywhere in the Box system or event stream. The only way to capture a record of this optional message is with the Compliance Email Archive. Customer would like for this optional message be captured in the event stream so 3rd party compliance software can capture that information. Native searching in Box on Windows 10
Previously, you were able to search natively using Box Drive and Box Sync on Windows 7. Windows 10 has been out for a good amount of time now and since Box had an update that removed Box Sync in favor of the Box Drive application, it has become much more difficult to search through thousands of files using the Ctrl+Shift+Alt+B shortcut as this panel does not show as many results as compared to previous versions of Box. I would like to see a feature in Box that will let me search through all my files in Box through File Explorer.

searching for users (external or managed)
Suggestions for improvements : search field for users (external or managed) should look for characters. For instance , if you type a domain name or name, you should be able to filter the (external or managed) users list according to the characters entered into the search field and look into both the name and email info if the characters can be found. We don't always know the exact email or name...

Please make it possible to search by file ID/folder ID when searching in the Recycle Bin. ごみ箱内検索するときにファイルID/フォルダIDで検索できるようにしてほしい。
Currently, you can only search by file/folder name, and there is a risk of restoring the wrong target if there are files with the same name.

If the access policy restricts download and printing, Excel files cannot be co-edited with MS Excel Online
Excel files cannot be co-edited in MS Excel Online if the access policy restricts downloading and printing.
One of the purposes of using Excel Online is co-editing.

Option to not leave the data on the device
If the user presses the + button and selects "Take photos or videos" and encounters an upload error when uploading the photos or videos taken, those files are automatically saved in the device's library.
Since the data remaining on the device poses a security risk, you need an option to not leave the data on the device in the application settings.6 votes -
We need to have AND support in Metadata multi-select fields
There needs to be an option, in searching for Metadata attributes which are multi-select, to choose AND or OR relationships between the chosen attributes.

Option to revert accidentally moved files/folders
More often than not users accidentally move files/folders by mistake.
Reverting is nothing but a complete and avoidable nightmare.
The current process is horrendous. Running a report on moves only gives you info on WHO moved the folder and where it was ORIGINALLY. After finally searching for and locating the folder, the Admin Console gives you no options to move the folder. You instead have to granting yourself permission to the parent folder, navigating to your personal Box account and make the move manually. I hope I'm not crazy but this process is in no way intuitive or fun in…

When opening a folder, I want you to incorporate the logic to judge whether it is empty and display "This folder is empty" or "Searching". If it says it's empty, you'll be checking Box.com. "Box Problem Items" error dialog is useless
I received "file path is invalid on this system" errors from Box Drive through a "Box Problem Items" dialog. This window is useless! All it lists is the problem folder names. I can't simply rename the problem folder from this window; I can't click the folder icon and navigate to the problem folder in my file structure; I can't even swipe the file name and copy it into the search bar so I can find the problem folder on my own. Such a garbage error report! Please make this dialog actually useful

I want to be able to make annotations permanent in PDFs and other documents.
Good morning. I am new to Box. I would like to be able to make permanent annotations to documents (such as a PDF) and then be able to share that annotated document without having to do the annotations in another app and then re-upload them into Box. It seems like a waste of time when I am trying to streamline the process of document review. I think that many people would appreciate the ability to do this. Thank you for your consideration! Search for keywords in File content and not only in file names
Just like Explorer search, Box should be able to list PDF files that contain the keywoard in their content and not only in the File name.
Example:
If using Box to store CVs, Box should be able to list CVs that has a specific skill.6 votes -
I would like to see the "running application" pop-up automatically removed after the application is opened.
When you open a native Office application in Box Edit, Box displays the message "Running application".
The above message remains even after the file is opened, but it's hard to tell if the file is open or not, so can you change the function so that it disappears automatically after the application is launched in Office?

To be able to lock down folders so they won't be accidentally moved or deleted
With many people working together, sometimes folders can be accidentally dragged off. It would be safer if the basic folder structure be locked down so to avoid accidental deletion and relocation but still allow users to create additional subfolders.
Also, in order to prevent random placement of files, folders/subfolders might also be locked to prevent files from being saved at a certain level.
