JSON file with metadata template field names for Doc Gen.
We are using metadata to build documents using Doc Gen. The issue we constantly struggle with is building the template tags in the Doc Gen template from the fields in the metadata template. We don't know the exact field name to use in the JSON file so it requires some trial and error. It would be very helpful to generate the JSON file from the metadata template in the format needed to create the Doc Gen template tags.

Splitting up who has editor permissions and who can publish in Box Hubs.
When operating Box Hubs, there is a need for a system in place where after multiple people edit a hub, the edits are not immediately made public, but rather are checked by an appropriate authority before being made public.
This is currently possible in SharePoint, but not in Box Hubs.
Hopefully, by further dividing up the roles of those with authority, it will become possible to carry out the above operations.2 votes -

Export of / access to preview image file
I like to create image content descriptions (long text, captions, tags) using computer vision AI models and store the descriptions in Box metadata. Therefore i need to provide the image to an external service. The problem is, that the AI services available through e.g. Box Skills or most other 3rd party tools have a size limit of 20 MB per image. Most images i'm dealing with are much bigger. One option would be to convert these images prior to providing them to an external tool, but Box already has a smaller image which could be used for computer vision purposes…

Request Signature outcome should have Form Submitter variable
When creating a workflow like the one in the following article, the Request Signature outcome cannot use the form submitter as a signer
Some of our workflows start with a form, use Box Doc Gen to generate a document, which then needs to be signed by the original form submitter. While the Request Signature step can access form variables, it notably does not have access to the Form Submitter.
It would be great if this was exposed as a variable so that the sign request could have the submitter as a signer.

Display more information in Upload Error message in Box Drive
It would be helpful to have more information shared in the Upload Error notification that’s displayed for admins when a user tries to upload content to a folder that has run out of storage. It would be helpful for the error message to display information such as account name, email, or login of the user. Currently, if an organization imposes storage quotas for their users, admins will receive this message anytime a user tries to upload content to a full folder. Unify Time Zone Handling for Expiration Dates of File Requests and Shared Links
Currently, Box handles expiration dates differently depending on the feature: Shared Links use PST/PDT as the standard, while File Requests rely on the local time zone of the device used to create the link. As a result, even when the same expiration date is set, the actual expiration timing can differ between the two types of links.
Having different time zone behaviors across Box features lacks consistency in implementation and is not intuitive for users. We kindly request that the time zone handling be unified across features.

I would like to request the implementation of a folder lock feature in the UI to prevent folder movement via drag-and-drop.
In BOX, when performing file and folder operations with an administrator account, unintended moves may occur due to drag-and-drop actions.
As a solution to this issue, I would like to request the implementation of a feature in the UI that allows folders to be locked at will, either through the folder's options or from the admin console.
For example, the folder's options could include the ability to lock/unlock individual folders, while the admin console could allow for bulk locking/unlocking of all folders or specific hierarchies.

Add the Open icon to the Box Ribbon
Currently, the Box icons on the Ribbon are Share and Upload, which is useful. But I have to go to File / Open / Box, then click an icon (which looks like it belongs on the ribbon!) to get the file open browser. Can this icon be added to the ribbon?

Custom suggested questions assigned to a Box AI agent
Need ability to craft our own custom suggested questions (i.e. quick select user prompts) at time of creating a custom agents in the AI Studio. These suggested questions should latch to the relevant custom agent so that when a user selects a unique agent, the suggested questions that are presented to them are specific to that agent purpose.

How to Replace SharePoint with Hubs
🙏 Please help us deprecate Microsoft SharePoint by providing the following five features in Hubs:
- Pages within a Hub, preferably navigable in a horizontal structure at the top of the Hub (I believe this is already in the works - yay!)
- A no-code way to access/interact with a Viva Engage community that we have built to facilitate company-wide communication around many specific topics.
- Ability to place images directly on the Hub page and scale as desired, more like current capability in a Box Note (carousel view option)

Classify multiple Box Shield alerts at the same time
We recently had a user upload a lot of content to their Box account in one go during a migration from local file storage to cloud storage. There was a lot of really old data that Box detected as being malicious (over 700 files). Based on spot checks throughout the data, we've determined that the data is not actually malicious and is a false positive. Streamline CFR Part 11 Authentication for Multiple Signatures
When signing a document that requires multiple signatures from the same user, Box Sign currently prompts for CFR Part 11 authentication for each individual signature. This can be inefficient and frustrating, especially for longer documents. We propose enhancing Box Sign to require authentication only once per signing request—while still maintaining regulatory compliance.

Disable automatic in-domain creation of Managed User account
Currently, Box allows an unmanaged user to become a paid Managed user "automatically" if someone within the domain invites another email within the same domain. Only Co-Admins and Primary Admins should be able to authorize a paid seat. Or there should be an option in settings to turn that on ability on or off.

Shuttle
If we use the Box Shuttle feature to migrate data, the update timestamp will be recorded as the time the data was uploaded. We would prefer to manage the timestamp according to the last modified date of the files before migration rather than the upload date. Is it possible to switch the timestamp display setting?

Allow Hubs to search, find, and filter for zip files
When searching for files on Box, zip files appear - however on Hubs zip files are NOT found when using the search function. Also the ability to filter based on a file type for .zip would be helpful.
