Admin global setting for video playback quality
Currently each individual account defaults to 480p (auto) and has to be self selected to change to 1080p. The reality is that text is going to be useless at 480p .... and many people won't know to change the setting - although of course the gear wheel is ubiquitous.
I want to administratively make the setting change for my users and let them step it DOWN if they prefer. My current solution is to literally start every video with a PSA that shows how to make this setting change.
That's maddening.

Slow IO: Switch from SQLite to something faster?
Benchmarks show that BOX drive is 50% to 90% slower than direct filesystem
Boxdrive stores the files in the cache as-is so there is no cpu overhead in encryption or packing, IO should be as fast as native filesystem.Perhapse the SQLite database layer is slowing things down?
If that's the case, replace Drive backend with something faster, like this one:

Preview support for PST and MBOX
AS A Box User who accesses pst and mbox files in Box
I WANT to be able to view those files in the Box Preview window
SO THAT I do not have to download the files from Box and open them with another application.BACKGROUND:
1. ATB Financial has completely migrated off of Microsoft Office to GSuite, using Box as our ECM solution.
2. We support our Corporate Investigations, People and Culture, and Legal Services teams with e-discovery requests - specifically gmail and Google Chat exports from Google Vault.

be able to see dropbox folders in my box account
i have clients using Dropbox/Google Drive/One Drive
i want to be able to login in to box.com and be able to see the folders they have authorized me to in these other services. the company i work for does not allow me to login to these other services. im at a loss on how to communicate with my clients using other services.thanks

Please make it easier to unsubscribe to product update emails (and please make sure the users actually want them before you start sending). I don't click 'unsubscribe' to any unsolicited emails. Instead a just block them. But I don't want to block emails from Box, because it may be important information about file uploads.

Admin login/impersonation actions viewable
Request Box user reports show any actions that take place when an Admin performs an action when impersonating a user. Right now, all the reports show us is that an Admin impersonated a user but we don't know if that Admin performed any actions as that user.

Ability to be able to check if uploading was successful or not by managed users
Ability to be able to check if uploading was successful or not by managed users themselves.
Users can know the result of upload with pop-up on WebApp, but they have no way to confirm it if they leave for a while. Because the pop-up disappears in a few seconds.

Add Optional Security Notifications for Admins, Reports for Public Links, and Customize the Insights Dashboard
We'd like to be able to receive notifications when a user creates a shared like that is "public" or available to anyone externally. With recent security concerns, we're not able to easily see how many public links are being created. The reports time out and we have to reach out to Box Support every time we want that data. In addition to better abilities to report and customize reports as many people have mentioned, it would be nice to customize the Insights dashboard to see the pertinent data to our organization.

Ability to prevent certain files to be opened via the desktop app
Amteck has some documents that should only be accessed through online so that users can co-author. They would like to prevent certain files from being opened through the desktop.

"Start Collaborating" modal is too obtrusive for viewers
When I share Box Notes with clients, they see the "Start Collaborating" modal appear, then come back to me asking why should they need to register just to view documents. It's not obvious this modal can be closed out to continue viewing the doc. Instead of a modal, perhaps this can be a small topbar box. Otherwise, this issue comes up enough to make me consider going back to Google Docs for client communications.

manage members
Under my organization we have a shared folder for over 1000+ members, but as you may know this is a global organization where we add or remove resources over the time. At this moment I can add them but I do not know how can I remove them. For this I will appreciate to have an option to export the list as CSV file, and as well an option to add or remove permissions in a bulk.

Automatic Sign-Out after period of inactivity, to predetermined time after login.
I would like to be able to set a time frame that forces user to have to sign back in after a certain amount of time. This would preferably be after a certain time of inactivity, but being able to force someone to enter their login credentials after a set time would also work.

Box Drive activity should show up in the recents section of the webapp
Would be great if the recents section showed in the web app showed all content recently used and not just content in accessed in the web app. When I am using Box Drive the webapp recents section does not pick up that content.

Report of folders with no content
Need a report that shows all folders with no content inside. Also need to see the date last modified, and the users associated. Reason being, we need to clean up and archive appropriately for long term scalability. This is specifically related to the salesforce integration.

View notification activity for items in the item properties details
When viewing the properties of an item, there should be an option to view a history of notifications that were triggered for that item. This would allow people, such as an uploader, to verify that the intended collaborators are receiving the information about the upload, and take action if the notifications are not triggered.
Potentially having an item saying something like "notification suppressed" for those who have the options disabled or if the folder settings are defined to disable notifications would be useful as well.
