  1. 'Does not contain' filter for name field in Box App

We would like to be able to exclude content from a Box App view using a 'does not contain' operator. This would help us to narrow down content that is returned in a view.

  2. Only folder owners and co-owners can send collaborator invites and add this folder to a Hub

In the Box Support article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/25870093558675-Adding-Content-to-Box-Hubs, it says this checkbox reads "Only folder owners and co-owners can send collaborator invites and add this folder to a Hub"

The actual setting in Box only says "Only folder owners and co-owners can send collaborator invites" leaving out the part about Box Hubs, this needs to be updated.

This also relates to: https://pulse.box.com/forums/909778-help-shape-the-future-of-box/suggestions/48513617-unable-to-add-a-content-to-a-hub-site-due-to-folde where this setting really makes no sense as inviting collaborators really has nothing to do with attaching files and folders into a Box Hub.

  3. playback speed controls for audio or video files

At the moment, the Box Mobile app for iPad doesn’t include playback speed controls for audio or video files, so I suggest to add this function. The web already has this function. It would enhance the audio user playback!

  4. I want to ensure that clients cannot forward links that I send with intellectual property. When clients/customers order my products, I want

I want to ensure that clients cannot forward links that I send with intellectual property. When clients/customers order my products, I want them to have a downloadable link (without having a box account) to access the document(s). I do not want to send a passcode for access (unless it is required).

I tested out this feature with a few of my email accounts not linked to my Box account. I also tested it out with a Box user in with account access, but to an email not linked to Box.

  5. Box integration sending emails with inconsistent formatting

Box integration is sending unusal format to emails resulting in + between each word. This was reported and found Thanks for testing and sharing your observations. The behavior you’re seeing with the + signs in the subject and body is due to how the Box integration generates the Outlook on the web compose window. It URL-encodes spaces as +, which Outlook sometimes displays as spaces and sometimes shows literally — this explains why clearing the browser cache makes it look correct for the first attachment but not for subsequent ones.

Essentially, this is a limitation of how the integration constructs…

  6. Allow Multiple Enterprise IDs (EIDs) to be Defined as a Single Internal Organization (Tenant Federation)

For security or operational reasons, it is common for a single enterprise to operate multiple Box tenants. However, when an organization's internal user scope ("company") is defined by its Enterprise ID (EID), users from these separate-but-related tenants are treated as external collaborators.

This creates significant problems and reduces usability:

Shared Link Restrictions: Users from a related tenant cannot access links shared with the "People in your company" permission level.

Group Collaboration Issues: It is not possible to invite groups from a related tenant to collaborate on content.

Reduced Security and Convenience: Collaborators from related tenants are flagged as "external," which…

  7. Allow Custom Domain Email Addresses for Service Accounts and App Users

Service Accounts and App Users are automatically assigned an email address with the @boxdevedition.com domain. This becomes problematic when a company's collaboration settings define internal users by their own corporate domain (e.g., example.com).

Under this configuration, if a shared link's access level is set to "People in your company," the Service Accounts and App Users are treated as external users because their @boxdevedition.com email does not match the company's domain. Consequently, they are blocked from accessing these internal-only links, which hinders automated workflows and API-based processes.

    Proposed Solution
Introduce a feature that allows administrators to change the assigned @boxdevedition.com email…

  8. Request for control over shared links for company users

In order to share content quickly and securely with certain company users, we would like to request the following features

・Allow passwords to be set on shared links even when they are addressed to company users.

・Allow tenant default values for shared link expiration to be configured specifically for “company users.”

  9. Please eliminate the need to log in and out when updating the app

When updating the app or fixing issues, we would like to avoid requiring users to log in and out whenever possible. For administrators, it is burdensome to notify employees about changes that need to be reflected.

  10. Expire shared links for external users, but not internal employees

When employees use shared links to exchange sensitive data with clients, we set them to expire for security reasons. However, when we later encounter a shared link within an internal email or slack message, we can no longer see what it linked to. We could go run a report to find out, but that would be a support ticket. It would be much better if shared links could just continue working for employees (if they are permitted direct access) even after they have expired for external users.

Before link expiration, content is accessible to anybody internal or external who has…

  11. Envelope support

At present box sign doesn't support envelope feature. Like adobe esign api or docusign api. I can request an agreement or an envelope to a set of users and their sign fields mapped in the entire document .

Box at present considers the signature field per document only. This is an essential piece to complete against adobe esign api or docusign api.

From pricing perspective box can introduce a special pricing for this as well.

  12. I want to change the display position of the BoxAI button on the preview screen.

I understand that in the current settings, BoxAI buttons are displayed in the top right and at the beginning of the right sidebar when a document is opened.
I would like to be able to change the position of the top right button and the display order in the sidebar (I want it to be displayed at the bottom).

  13. Perform two-factor authentication on the Box mobile app

Users cannot configure two-factor authentication from the Box Mobile app.
It is necessary to configure settings from a PC, so users who do not normally use a PC for their daily tasks need to be provided with an environment where they can use a PC individually.
Since it is very time-consuming, I would like to be able to set up two-factor authentication from the Box Mobile app as well.
    -in Japanese-

The column width is abnormally narrow, and changes cannot be fixed.

When opening BOX Drive in Explorer, the file name column displays abnormally narrow.
Even if I manually adjust it or reset the width, it automatically reverts to the narrow width. This is extremely inconvenient.
I'm also surprised that this bug has existed for years, has been reported by many people, and still hasn't been fixed.

  15. Mouse Drag + Option to copy/duplicate an element.

Most tools like Powerpoint, Google Slides, Figma, FigJam, Miro , etc. support holding a key and drag an element to create a copy. This the fastest way to copy elements around the page such as to create copies of post-its, squares, etc. In Box canvas, I can pick an item, copy and paste and then I have to select the copied item and move it to where I want. Drag copying does all that in one motion.

  16. Get a bold view about comments number on a document

Today when you put a comment on a document you can see how many comments are put on the document. What will be great, is to get this number in bold until all comments have been read by the user. This may help as an example when you comeback from leaves, and get many comments on different documents, you won't get any chance to know if you checked all, except to go on each documents and check them one by one. It's boring and makes the user to waste time. Thank you to consider this request.

  18. The customer can perform a folder search for names containing “example” (case-insensitive), choose “Export results,” receive a CSV of search

The customer can perform a folder search for names containing “TBD” (case-insensitive), choose “Export results,” and receive a CSV in their Box Reports folder listing each matching folder with key metadata (folder name, full path/parent, owner, folder ID, created/updated dates). This enables efficient identification and tracking of folders marked as missing data across the tenant

The customer’s teams add “TBD” to folder titles to flag missing information. While they can locate these folders via search today, Box does not allow exporting that list of search results. The current workaround—exporting folder trees from Content Manager—does not produce a targeted list of…

  19. More Detail in Deep Scan Detection

Deep scans frequently alert with an "unknown" malware family and a description of "This file has characteristics that are similar to previously identified malicious content." This is not enough information to identify a potential threat within otherwise legitimate looking documents.

The detections details should identify what triggered the detection. Was it a macro, the phrasing of the content, an embedded link, etc.? If it was a link, what link(s) is suspicious.

  20. Allow further restrictions on who can view/submit a Box Form

Right now Box Form submissions allow all (anonymous) or any logged in Box user to view/submit them. It would be useful to be able to further restrict these form links in manners similar to shared links. There are many times that a workflow driven by a form would be internal to a specific company and hence options like only users of xyz enterprise would be nice to minimize the risk of any data being shared externally from form questions and/or outside entities entering data into the form.
