BOX Sign - Creating templates without attaching document
We use BOX sign for approval of signatures in all types of documents. It would be a nice feature to be able to create a template for each approver without having to upload a document when creating the template. The only why I can accomplish this right now is to upload a blank document in the template. Then when I use the template I have to replace the blank document with whatever document that we need approval.

Issue with File Viewing Recorded as Editing ファイル閲覧が編集として記録される問題
I would like to request an improvement regarding the issue where simply viewing a file is recorded as editing. Viewing and editing are different activities and should be recorded and displayed separately.

Request to improve behavior where updaters are visible only when operating from mobile
Hi Box Teams,
I would like to improve the following behavior.
Problem behavior:
If non-collaborators access the People with the link from Box's web app, they won't see who updated the file, but if they access it from Box's mobile app, they'll see who updated the file. This problem occurs when a folder's co-owner or owner updates a file. If the user has the permission of the editor or lower, the user who updated the file is displayed as "Anonymous".
Expected Behavior:
Since we have set the folder so that only the owner or co-owner can see the information, we would like to not show the information of the person who updated the file, even if the access is from an open link, even if the access is from Box web app or mobile app.Conditions for creating a problem
・The following folder settings are enabled:[folder setting]>[Privacy]>[Collaborators]>[Hide callaborators and their activity from non-owners]
・A file with a shared link was last modified by the owner or co-owner of the folder.
・The scope of shared link disclosure is set in People with the link for files under the folder.
・Non-collaborators access the shared link and view it in the Box mobile app.
Specific steps to reproduce the problem:
(1)From a mobile device, a user who is not a collaborator accesses a shared link whose disclosure range is People with the link.- At this time, if the Box application is not installed, the default web browser changes to the Box mobile site, where file information can be checked, but the name of the person who updated the file is not displayed.
(2) You will be redirected to the Box app. If you are not logged in, you will be asked to log in, so you have to log in to the Box app.
(3) Displays the contents of the shared link destination.
(4) Display "File information" from "..."
(5) "Update time" and "Updater name" are displayed in the "Change date" item.
- This problem occurs when a folder's co-owner or owner updates a file. If the permission is less than or equal to the editor, "Anonymous" is displayed.
I'm sorry to trouble you, but I appreciate your consideration.

Allow groups to be specified as 'notified to' in Box Shield Threat Detection Rules
Only user accounts can be specified for the 'Notification Destination' of the Threat Detection rules in Box Shield.
Since maintenance is required when the person in charge changes, it should be possible to specify a group.■In Japanese:
Box shieldに存在する検出ルールの「通知の送信先」は、ユーザーアカウントのみが指定できます。
担当者が変わったときメンテナンスが必要になるので、グループを指定できるようにしてください。1 vote -

Closed folder structure
"My Sign Requests", "My Canvases" and "My Signed Documents" folders are created as private folders technically by Box, without any admin intervention. When using a closed folder structure, these folders can still be used by users to build their own folder structures, as they become the owner of this folder. This counteracts the idea of a closed folder system and represents a massive security gap. Users can then build folder structures and content in our box instance without any control by the admin and share them with external users.
These technically generated folders must therefore be restricted accordingly, or admins must have the option to impose usage restrictions for these private folders technically generated by Box. It must not be possible for these folders to be used and configured by users without admin control.
As a collection point for Box Sign processes or Canvases, this is fine, but to allow additional functionality that would otherwise not be possible in Box, represents a risk that can otherwise be controlled with a closed folder structure.

Restrict users to only use Sign templates i.e. not be able to send ad-hoc requests
In banking we want to prevent any user error and they should only send requests through officially created templates

【Box Relay】About email notifications for approval requests
When assigning an approval task on Relay, the request is made by writing the URL of the related document in the message field.
Currently the links are not valid and it takes time to check related materials.
I would like you to enable the URL link in the notification email so that you can access the URL listed in the notification email so that you can quickly check the necessary materials.2 votes -
Improvement of the interval at which the version history of BoxNotes is automatically saved
As the support article below states, "While you're working in Box Notes, we automatically save your changes as a new version roughly every 5 minutes or after 5 minutes of inactivity. "
However, if you continue to operate, it will only update the "current version" and will not automatically save a new version every 5 minutes.
https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043692834-Box-Notes%E3%81%AE%E3%83%90%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B8%E3%83%A7%E3%83%B3%E5%B1%A5%E6%AD%B4%E3%81%AE%E8%BF%BD%E8%B7%A1
We would like to improve the function so that the version will be updated every 5 minutes even if the operation is being performed continuously.
In addition, since there is information that would be troublesome if it disappears due to an operation error, etc., we would like the function to be enhanced so that the user can also save the version history manually.※The following text has been added to the previous submission.

Box for Outlook Add-in fixed to save emails as .msg
When trying to save an email using the "Save to Box" Add-in, the only option is .eml. This was an old format for outlook express. Once an email is saved in this format, it cannot be opened in Outlook client. There needs to be an option for .msg. Using the File > Save As option allows you to change the extention, but that is extra steps. Outlook web will allow you to open the saved email, but you cannot save it as a .msg after the fact.
6 votesMicrosoft is adopting the .eml format, and Box is following their lead. We have just added support for previewing .eml format files as well

Provide option to omit the Signup and Login buttons from shared links (downloladable)
Please provide the option to omit the Signup and Login buttons for shared links (downloadable).
The presence of the Signup and Login buttons reduces the value of our Box.com account since the only way to circumvent the Box.com marketing fluff is to copy file from box to our CMS rather than just referencing our Box.com files. The existence of the Signup button both on the preview and pop-up that displays after clicking download results in calls to our support center from visitors to our website. The embed widget unfortunately doesn't improve the issue. Alternatively, if we could embed the Box direct link, problem solved, but that is not possible due to CORS issues.

Save Sorting Preferences
When using Box in-browser, create a setting to change the default sorting preference. For example, so you can make the default sorting for all folders Name, Ascending. This is not currently an option and means every time you open a folder you need to manually resort it, as the default sorting is always set to Updated, Ascending.

Expand Capabilities for Adding External Collaborators to Relay Tasks/Notifications
Currently, a user can only add an external collaborator to a Relay Task/Notification if the following are true -
- The user owns the content
- The user has added the external collaborator to content
- The user has to have less than 5,000 external collaborators on items they own
Many customers have a closed folder structure, where one admin user owns all content, so this admin user would be the only one who can create the workflow with external collaborators added to tasks/notifications. For large organizations especially, this is difficult to administer and maintain, so ideally even users who do not own the content can create workflows where they can assign external collaborators to tasks/notifications.
