Move the location of Welcome to Box pop up
When I set the custom terms of service and a new user logs into Box for the first time, it is hidden by the "Welcome to Box" pop up. Could you please move the location of either one so that the new user can see the custom terms of service please?

Search Engine should run on the displayed dates rather than the API dates
Box's search queries do not go off of the same date displayed to end users in the WebApp. The Modified Date seen in the WebApp is different than the API field “modified_at” that the search tool goes off of. From a user’s viewpoint, the date is the date, so using two separate date fields for the same product is confusing to end users. This is a request to ensure both of these fields align.

Review Custom Terms of Service after accepting them
As a user that was invited to a folder but had to agree to a Custom Terms of Service before being allowed in, I would like to be able to access those Custom Terms of Service for reference after accepting them.
I know there's an option to download them at the time of accepting, but if I lose that copy...

Add iOS Shortcuts integration
Simply add iOS shortcuts integration like your competitor. Save to box, append to file in box function ecc would be a great feature. The only reason that I’m not using your great service is the missing of this integration.

Add configuration option to hide the right-hand sidebar automatically
When a file is opened, the right-hand sidebar is open by default. My preference is to have it closed, so I must close it each time. Please add a configuration option that would allow for users to set that sidebar closed at startup by default.

Export all data belonging to a Custodian on Legal Hold
There is currently no way through Box to export all of a user's data for offline preservation and legal review. This workflow is necessary for the EDRM model, as the files may still be altered while under Legal Hold.

Box for Outlook (app) - Insert link at character
The Box for Outlook app (deployed through Microsoft 365 admin centre - not as part of Box for Office), inserts links as an image and file name at the bottom of the email that is being created.
This is an awful user experience for recipients. It would be better to insert links in the same way as the Box for Office Outlook add-in works. This allows putting a link at the character point.

Even when the link is configured to "people with the link can edit," external collaborators are still required to log into both Box and Google Workspace in order to edit Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides via the Box integration, which is way too much friction and strongly discourages use.
I strongly recommend that we offer optionality. While highly security conscious departments (e.g. IT, InfoSec, HR, legal, finance) might require an audit history with details about who edited content, which requires people to login; conversely,…

Update m.box.com address for shared link previews on smartphones
Please change the specification so that it does not change to the m.box.com address when previewing the shared link from smartphone.

・We want to share the preview screen easily to many unspecified users.
・But there are some shared links that can't be previewed on smartphone.
・The target shared link can be previewed successfully from the PC.
・The reason is that when you access the shared link from smartphone, the address is always changed to m.box.com.
・You can get around this problem by getting a free Box account (Individual) and installing Box for Mobile.

improve box drive file listing when navigating to a new folder
Currently as you navigate Box Drive and hit a new folder there can be a noticeable delay before the content listing of the folder is displayed and for that time (can be several seconds or more) the impression is left that the directory is empty. The user is left trying to determine if they need to wait or if there are actually no files or folders within the folder.
An improvement would to either maintain a local cache of the folder/file hierarchy and then download the actual file when it's selected for open. Or a predictive recursive tree query when…

Allow for native editing of video content in Box
This is a pretty difficult ask but one of my customer has to migrate their video content stored in Box into another cloud app that's focused on video editing. That's alot of content to move and my AE was wondering if we could be better positioned to help them if we offered the ability to do some editing of video in Box.

Open files from web app in Box client
Oftentimes our team shares the location of a file within Box by pasting a link into, e.g. Asana. Clicking that link opens the item in the Box web app. There's no way to open that location within the Box client on MacOS other than looking at the file path on the web, then manually browsing to that location in Finder. I'd like a link you can click from the web app that reveals the location of that file within Finder.

Ability to set reminders for approaching deadlines on task approvals
In the current version of Box Relay, you can set a deadline when assigning a task.
However, after setting a deadline for approval, it would be nice if there was a function to send a reminder X days before the specified deadline so that the approval is not overlooked.
Please add a function to send a reminder at a specified date and time before the specified deadline to prevent the approval from being overlooked.

More customization of Box for Teams V2 Usage
We were wondering if we could partially turn on Box for Teams V2. Specifically, we want to turn off the option to create the "Box Files" tab but leave on the options to share Box content directly in groups chats or channel posts. The fact that it's set up as an all-or-nothing feature for now is holding us back from using it at all.

For company operations, the Admin does not want end users to develop Box applications.
Therefore, we would like to configure the admin side to not show the "Dev console" to end users.

Box Shutdowns down early during shutdown, so MS Word docs with changes can't be saved if shutdown aborted
This problem plagues me onace a week or so. When Windows 10 is shutting down, Box Drive shutdowns down early before Windows asks to save opened changed docs - so MS Word docs with changes can't be saved if shutdown aborted. I end up having to save locally, reboot, then put the file into Box, then shutdown a second time. Painful, especially at the end of the day.
Proposal - work with Microsoft on a way to delay the Box shutdown point - until after the cancel shutdown message occurs...1 vote
