Native searching in Box on Windows 10
Previously, you were able to search natively using Box Drive and Box Sync on Windows 7. Windows 10 has been out for a good amount of time now and since Box had an update that removed Box Sync in favor of the Box Drive application, it has become much more difficult to search through thousands of files using the Ctrl+Shift+Alt+B shortcut as this panel does not show as many results as compared to previous versions of Box. Support for UNC paths in Box For Desktop
We require UNC paths instead of local paths to be supported by Box Drive. Today - we're leveraging WebDAV, which is less than ideal.

We request to change Box Drive feature as to also add (1) on the tail
The current feature of duplicated file name on Box Drive is to add email address on the end of file name and on Box Edit, a number with parenthesis- (1),(2) will be added.

We have found that most of our clients use google drive for storage of content for us to work with. We could really use a tool that assists us in transfers direct from google drive to our Box

Ability to customize/configure the location of the shortcut to Box Drive folder on Windows.
We would like to have the ability to customize the location of the shortcut to Box Drive folder on Windows or to disable its creation.
Right now, the creation of the shortcut cannot be disabled or customized (just as the cache location cannot be customised), and it's always created under c:\users\username\desktop. This is not ideal for users who are not allowed access to userprofile folder.4 votes -

We do not have near-term plans to add this capability right now. You might be able to get a similar effect by using Device Trust on those endpoints and requiring a specific certificate on a device, which is limited to just those groups of users.

One of our users recently asked the following:
"In the Box drive alert window, the Box Drive Settings gear icon doesn't
do anything useful. Please add an actual settings window with basic
information like file space used, buttons for pause/restart syncing, etc.The Box Drive window is an alert style window that disappears anytime a

Ability to search with symbols on Box Web and Box Drive
We are aware that a single search for a symbol, including ".", cannot be used with Box's search function.
Searching only for symbols will expand the search range and improve the convenience of file searches, so we would like to see this feature implemented.(Japanese)

removal of the delete confirmation prompt in the Box Drive app
Hey there,
I’d like to request the removal of the delete confirmation prompt in the Box Drive app for Mac. When I delete a file, the system prompts me to confirm the action, which I find unnecessary and disruptive to my workflow. Since deleting a file requires deliberate actions—right-clicking and selecting delete—the additional confirmation step is redundant.
In my line of work, I frequently delete files, and this extra step adds unnecessary friction to my process. If a file is deleted by mistake, it can easily be restored from the Trash folder, making the confirmation prompt an unnecessary inconvenience.

Box Drive to notify users before logging out that files or folders not sycn up will be lost.
It will be helpful if users will be notified before logging out of Box Drive that all files or folders not sync up to Box will be lost . In this way, users will be able to check again on the problem items and save it on other location before proceeding on logging out. This will prevent loss of files.

Auto select search text upon opening Box Drive
When I Press Shft+Ctrl+Alt+B to activate the search function, the previous search text is in the search bar. It's highly unlikely I'm going the same search a 2nd time. The text should auto highlight, so I can just start typing for the next search. Currently you have to manually select the text to overwrite.
