Ability for users to track activity
In the Closed configuration ,Only admins and co-admins can track activity on the files listed at the URLs below.
Users cannot be tracked.
If users can export reports, they can perform on themselves statistical analysis.
As a result, it becomes possible to actively use Box.
So I want users to be included in the targets that can be exported.26 votes -
Dataroom Indexing
Similar to other virtual dataroom software solutions, Box.com should be able to autoindex files. This is a very basic capability that other solutions like Egnyte, Firmex and Sharefile are able to do. The reason this is important is so that you can direct an external party to look for a file at a specific index/location such as 1.1.5.6.4. Placement of "Delete Group"
The placement of the "Delete group" button at the top right of the screen that appears when you click a group from the list of groups in the management console is too poor.
During normal operation, what you see here are forward-looking functions such as "Save" and "Add."
The more you get used to the operation, the more likely you are to press this button with force.管理コンソールのグループの一覧から、グループをクリックした際に表示される、画面右上のボタン「グループの削除」の配置が悪すぎる

Getting a "Share a file link" on Win 11 Pro
We moved to Win 11 Pro. Since then "getting a Box link" to copy and add it to a document been very painful.

Box Relay outcome to Apply Classification to a folder dynamically
It would be helpful if Box Relay would have the ability to apply a classification to the folder where the workflow was triggered on dynamically as an outcome, which would also classify all content within that folder structure as well. This would allow applying classifications to the folder that a new file event trigger happened in for example, which would then flow classifications to all content and sub-folders in that folder structure.

Combine Executed Signed Docs and Signature Log
Currently, when you send a document to be signed, the signed executed document and signature log are saved as separate files. It would be nice if the signed doc and signature log were one document and saved as an updated version of the original document. Currently, it turns 1 document into 3 documents, and clutters up the folders.

Enhancement of Management Console Features for Tracking Item Counts in Folders
While the Box management console allows us to check the data usage capacity, we would like to request the implementation of a feature that enables us to view the number of items in each folder. Although Box can be utilized with unlimited data capacity, we have been advised by Box that behavior may become unstable if the item count in any root folder exceeds 10 million items.
Given this situation, it would be greatly beneficial to enrich the administrative functionalities on the management console. We would like to see features such as displaying the “current item count” for each root…

Admin Insight CAD Files
Currently the file types that is included in "CAD" in the Admin Insight "File Types" are listed in the support site: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/17096286848659-Admin-Insights-Data-Tiles#h_01H41HC7METQFKQDNF0AV7CNNE

AI watermark
have the ability for Box AI for content creation to have some sort of watermarking or call out to denote that it was created by AI so users know what was human created versus AI created content

Preserve names when staff leaves
Add a feature to preserve the names of departed users in the Box Activity comments and tasks and approvals instead of changing their names to "Anonymous User" or "A Prior Collaborator" to preserve records of who was involved in the approval process even if they no longer have active accounts. Additionally, approvals set up by departed users should remain visible and not disappear from the Activity box. This is important for any company using Box as a review or internal control tool.

Box Sign owner alert for unsigned documents
While currently Box Sign can send an automated reminder to recipients to complete a document, there is no way to alert the author of the document that a particular document is languishing. It would be nice to be able to set an automatic alert to email the owner of a document after X days if it has not yet been signed, so that they can take whatever measures are needed.

Print Into Box
I want to be able to print documents into Box by having Box appear as a printer like adobe so that if I am working in an application that generates a document, I can print it into box rather than having to save it and then upload it.

Be able to update the links existing on the login page "Not part of xxxxxx? Log in or Sign In Here"
Customer prefer to be able to update those links vs utilizing the Login Page section of custom set up as users are immediately drawn to that above link in the image when they cant get into Box and most of the time will not know to come back and look at the extra verbiage.

Box Task Inbox Filter to see only Tasks pending my action
I use my Task Inbox all the time, and often receive Tasks with multiple assignees. It is frustrating when I can't filter out the tasks I have completed but that are still in progress pending action by someone else. Could you add a filter that would allow me to see only the Tasks pending action by me, that is separate from all tasks still in progress by any assignee?

Box for Microsoft Office Co-Authoring for Password Protected Files
Unfortunately, co-authoring option is not currently supported for password-protected files. Box have told me this is because the system considers the password protection as a lock.
Therefore bringing it your attention to add this feature request.Also we are finding that co-authoring takes a lot long to open files and it is not as smooth as its made out to be.

Allow individual file sharing to groups
Currently, you can share folders with groups, but not individual files. I have a custom tutorial I'd like to share with a user group wihtout nesting it in a folder, like the "Get Started with Box" PDF file does, but there is no option for it. Optimally, I'd prefer to see an option in which we could replace the "Get Started with Box" PDF file with our own PDF tutorial that addresses our specific needs.

Expansion of File Version Limit settings
For customers currently using Governance, the "File Version Limit" setting can be set to 1-100 or unlimited.
We would like this setting to be improved so that it can be specified as 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, etc. The reason is that problems may occur when there are multiple file versions when migrating between tenants or within a tenant, so I would like to limit this in the settings.3 votes -
Allow preview/editing of Office files other than PW-protected Excel (.xlsx) files.
We feel that the inability to preview/edit PW protected files makes it less convenient.
In order to ensure security, we often assign passwords to not only Excel files, but also to PowerPoint and Word files, and there are many opportunities to collaborate on editing PowerPoint and Word files. Metadata template creation - option to duplicate metadata template, then edit
A lot of the metadata templates will have similar fields, so ideally you could duplicate an existing metadata template, then make edits from there rather than just having the option to start new each time.
